Cultivation Online
Chapter 2470: Demon Slaying Parade(3)
Yuan fell silent to ponder about the Transcendents visiting the Nine Heavens.
Since Cultivation God was the apex in the Nine Heavens, suddenly throwing an Absolute God into it would undoubtedly cause mayhem.
However, it wasn’t necessarily entirely bad, as it could help advance the cultivation world since it proved that Cultivation God wasn’t the peak.
’If it was just one of them, I would be able to manage, but all three of them?’ Yuan sighed inwardly.
The risks were too high, especially considering their chaotic nature.
"What are you even worried about?" Angela suddenly asked aloud.
"I’m worried that you might cause havoc and I won’t be able to stop you in time," Yuan responded with his true feelings and worries.
"Why would we cause havoc? We’re not barbarians or demons." Helena sneered, feeling a little offended.
"Well... you didn’t exactly give me a good first impression..." Yuan sighed.
Angela and Helena immediately fell silent after hearing such words, as neither of them could deny that they were aggressive to him in the beginning.
Meanwhile, Selena had been staring at Lev this entire time, seemingly lost in thought.
"Hmph! Why do we even need your permission to visit your world?" Angela suddenly sneered. "It’s not like you own that world, after all."
"It may not be my world, but if I allow you to enter it and you start slaughtering people, then every life lost there will be my fault," Yuan said, shaking his head.
"Can you swear that you won’t harm anyone while you are there?" Yuan asked.
"That’s..."
None of them could bring themselves to make such an oath outright. After all, beings at their level could accidentally kill someone with something as trivial as a sneeze.
Selena suddenly stepped forward and said, "What if I agree to be your servant while I am there? If you have complete control over me, you wouldn’t need to worry about me being unpredictable."
"What are you saying, Selena?!" Angela and Helena snapped their heads to stare at her in shock and disbelief.
Even Yuan looked at her with raised eyebrows, surprised by her proposal.
"There’s no need to lower yourself to the point of becoming his servant just to visit his world!" Helena said, trying to convince her that it was a terrible idea.
"If this is how you think you can repay him for freeing us..." Angela spoke with a frown, "This isn’t it."
Yuan then said, "She’s right. You don’t have to repay me."
Selena shook her head and said, "This isn’t just about repaying you."
"Then what is it about?"
Selena opened her mouth but closed it a second later without uttering a word.
"It’s a secret," she eventually said.
"Is that so?" Yuan muttered before closing his eyes to ponder.
"If you become my servant, I will definitely be more at ease with you traveling my world, but I don’t know if that will help me trust you."
"Then what do you want from me?"
"Help me clean up some trash," Yuan then said, dumbfounding her.
"You want me... to clean up trash?" she muttered in a daze.
"Hey! You’re going overboard! There’s no way—" Angela said.
"I don’t mean literal trash—the kind you see lying on the streets," Yuan said, shaking his head. "My world was invaded by Forsaken in the past, bringing unimaginable terror with them. Things are far better now after I wiped out most of them, but some still remain."
He then looked at Selena and continued, "You may visit my world, but while you’re there, you must eliminate every last Forsaken. How does that sound?"
"Deal!" Selena agreed to his request almost instantly.
"Ah, what about them?"
Her gaze pointed at Angela and Helena.
"I will be frank with you," Yuan spoke. "I do not trust them one bit."
"Wha—"
Angela and Helena’s jaw dropped at his words.
But Yuan wasn’t finished speaking, and he continued, "Not only do they clearly have bad tempers, but they are the type that believes violence solves everything."
"How could I sleep peacefully knowing that not just one, but two of them are loose in the world?"
"Bastard! You’re treating us like rabid dogs!" Helena shouted while pointing at him.
"If you’re going to treat us like that, I will bite you like one!" Angela stomped her feet angrily.
"You see what I mean?" Yuan sighed as he shook his head.
"..."
Selena gazed at the two with a disappointed yet understanding gaze.
"As much as I appreciate you trusting me, I cannot leave them behind and explore alone, so unless you trust all of us, I will stay here with them."
"Selena..."
They looked at her with softened expressions, appearing as though they were on the verge of tears.
After a moment of silence, Angela turned to face Yuan and spoke with a resolute face, "Then I will also agree to become your servant—at least for as long as we are there."
"Angela?!" Helena’s eyes widened with surprise.
Angela shrugged and explained her decision, "It’s not like we are going to be his servants for real, and it will only last until we leave. It will be over by the time we even realize it."
Helena took a moment to digest Angela’s reasoning.
After finding it to be quite logical, Helena nodded and said to Yuan, "Just like Angela, I am willing to be your servant for as long as I am there."
"I think you’re forgetting about something else," Yuan said.
"We’re still..."
Angela had to think for a second before realizing what Yuan wanted from them and spoke out loud, "I swear on my soul that I won’t purposefully kill anyone, and I will try to avoid causing trouble as much as possible."
Hearing Angela’s words, Helena quickly repeated the same words.
"Alright." Yuan nodded in acknowledgment.
The next moment, he began drawing his blood, creating three watermelon-sized spheres and hovered them before the Transcendents.
Angela and Helena hesitated at first, but when they saw Selena drinking all of it without hesitation, they exchanged glances with each other before following suit.
