Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2391: Tricked into Bed
Jasmine Yale reached out to take it and gave her a smile, "Thank you."
"You’re welcome. Your baby is sure to be very cute."
The young girl said as she went back to work.
Jasmine Yale placed the small ceramic toy on the table. It was a little Doraemon, an adorable blue chubby character.
Jasmine Yale reached out and touched its head, and the blue chubby character tumbled onto the table with a "thud."
She laughed; she enjoyed these little surprises.
As she walked out of the ramen shop, Jasmine Yale had just taken two steps when she suddenly stopped and instinctively stepped back.
A bright red sports car parked not far away, a sexy tall woman stepped out of the driver’s seat, her long hair flowing, carrying a haughty attitude.
It was Stacy.
Perhaps it was because pregnant women stand out too much, as soon as Stacy got out of the car, she spotted her, stopped in her tracks, her gaze fixed on Jasmine Yale.
Jasmine Yale pretended not to see her, turned around, and walked in the opposite direction with her bag. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
She and Stacy had argued several times because of Erin, and if not for Sylvan Cheney, they would have no interaction at all.
Stacy grabbed her handbag and walked towards Jasmine Yale in black high heels.
She walked much faster than Jasmine Yale, quickly catching up and walking right up to her.
"Why run off as soon as you see me? After all, we’re acquaintances, isn’t it polite to at least say hello?" Stacy was very tall, she stood with arms crossed, a mocking smirk on her lips.
"We’re just acquaintances; it’s not to the point where we need to say hello." Jasmine Yale replied calmly.
"Why are you eating dinner at a place like this? Is this ramen shop even sanitary? Oh, I guess this is the kind of place you can afford because it’s cheap."
"What does it have to do with you, Stacy?"
"Of course, it’s none of my business, I’m just worried about you. If you eat something unsanitary, it might affect the baby’s IQ. Your IQ isn’t that high to begin with, if you give birth to an idiot, that’d really be pitiful."
"You haven’t eaten anything unsanitary, but your IQ doesn’t seem that high either." Jasmine Yale glanced at her.
"I’m in a good mood today, I won’t argue with you, there’s no point in quarreling with a woman like you. Your life is more miserable than mine, if I argued with you, it would make me look ungracious. I’m richer than you, prettier, have a larger social circle, a better family background, I’m better than you in every way. If it weren’t for the fact that you worked at Erin’s company, I wouldn’t even know a woman like you."
"Then why did you come over to talk to me when I didn’t even greet you? Aren’t you contradicting yourself?"
"You’ve got quite a temper, be careful. If you get angry every time I say something, aren’t you going to be angry often? I heard Evan doesn’t want you anymore."
Stacy brushed aside the stray hair by her ear, chuckling lowly, with a mocking tone in her laughter.
She looked at Jasmine Yale with even more disdain in her eyes.
The wind blew quietly, while the music from the fountain played softly in the background.
"Is gossiping the only skill you have left?" Jasmine Yale looked at her, "There was really no need for us to have a poor impression of each other."
"You’re a fool, foolish to the extreme yet still putting on a brave front. I really want to show people your foolish look now. I told you ages ago not to dream of latching onto a man like Evan, but you wouldn’t listen. Now look, you got duped into bed and he doesn’t want you anymore, right?"
Jasmine Yale’s expression changed.
