Chapter 367: The Mirror Of Lightning

Jessica violently spat out the thick, dark blood pooling in her mouth, her limbs trembling as she forced herself to stand up.

’What happened?! I felt something hit me, but my Mythic eye detects nothing.’ She said in profound confusion, her golden third eye spinning erratically as it tried to read the empty air. The absolute impossibility of an attack bypassing her perception was tearing at her sanity.

A few meters away, Mirabella stood like an untouchable sovereign, entirely unbothered by the sheer killing intent bleeding from the Sword Academy’s captain.

’This girl... Thanks to that Heaven thing I ate, all my abilities are above Lv500... For example, my Guardians, before only Lv500 could see them, but how... Only King stage could see them clearly, anything below that can only notice them when they attack or defend.’ She thought calmly, fully realizing the catastrophic gap in power. The cosmic treasure had shattered her mortal limits, pushing her inherent skills into the elusive King Stage. She stretched her hand gracefully towards Jessica, preparing to end it.

"Wait... Why do I have to interfere?" She muttered softly to herself, a sudden realization of her own overwhelming status dawning on her, and simply snapped her fingers.

BOOM!

The atmospheric space directly above her violently cracked opened, revealing a tear, entirely stunning everyone in the heavily reinforced coliseum. Jessica’s eyes widened in sheer shock.

’A summoning?’

From the jagged spatial crack, a small, fluffy white winged cat tumbled out and fell freely. The exact moment her tiny paws hit the hard arena ground, Cupcake’s bright eyes snapped opened, completely devoid of any killing intent.

’Huh? Where am I? Shouldn’t I be sleeping in the golden Palace?’ Cupcake thought in sleepy confusion, missing the boundless spirit energy of Mirabella’s inner world, and turned her head to look up at Mirabella:

"Huh? Why? I was enjoying myself." Cupcake grumbled lazily, stretching her small wings.

Mirabella reached into her inventory, brought out a piece of brightly wrapped candy, and slowly unwrapped it, the crinkling sound echoing absurdly loud in the tense silence: "Deal with her and go back to sleep." She said, casually placing the candy in her mouth, and started chewing.

"Wow, Mirabella is actually chewing sweet before her opponent." Blade said in genuine surprised from the sidelines, his jaw slack as he witnessed the ultimate display of disrespect in a global finale.

"I remember that cat." Eve exclaimed from the Eagle Academy section, her eyes narrowing as she recalled the seemingly harmless pet from their earlier encounters.

"Carl, Why is big Sister using a hammer to crush an eye? Cupcake awakened a special power when I also awakened my dark mage powers, she is simply too powerful for Jessica." Grace muttered softly, a little bit confused by her captain’s massive overkill.

"Hahaha! This is actually helping Jessica, if Big Sister fight herself, Jessica won’t even close the gap." He said, laughing aloud, his eyes filled with absolute, fanatic pride for Mirabella.

Austin, Rose, Hitachi, And Aurelia who were seated close by blinked simultaneously, turning their heads from Carl back to the tiny, yawning feline on the stage:

’Does that little cat also has such powers?’ They thought in unison, struggling to comprehend how a mere pet could challenge a Mythic eye.

Down on the stage, the lethal tension was interrupted by a whine. "But I want to sleep."

"Stop complaining... You need to test out your new ability out, this is a perfect opportunity." Mirabella said, looking down at Cupcake with a slight, authoritative frown.

"Or do you want me to summon Vespina or Adira? They’ll be happy to take your big sister role."

Hearing Mirabella threaten her supreme hierarchical status among the familiars, Cupcake’s laziness instantly vanished. She finally sighed, her aura shifting subtly, and stood up straight: "I don’t play with my role to those kids... Tell me, should I kill her?" Cupcake asked, her tiny voice suddenly carrying the weight of an apex predator.

’Just damage her core, if you can.’ Mirabella answered telepathically, keeping her ruthless directive hidden from the tournament’s monitoring arrays.

’Oh... I don’t know Master is scared of saying that out loud.’ Cupcake quipped mentally.

Mirabella immediately dropped a freezing glare down at Cupcake, who nervously nodded her little head in rapid succession: ’Yup! I understand.’

Jessica stared intensely at the tiny cat, her pride flaring up, then glared at Mirabella: "Aren’t you underestimating me so much?" She asked, as dense, corrosive red energy started violently emanating from her body like a toxic gas, eating away at the stone beneath her boots.

’She won’t be able to use her strings for a while, so you’re good to go...’ Mirabella added through their telepathic link, completely ignoring Jessica’s outrage as she enjoyed her candy.

"Alright then."

Cupcake started walking casually towards Jessica, her tiny paws making no sound on the rubble: "Meeting me is actually bad." She said, her voice echoing with a strange resonance, as a massive pillar of catastrophic purple lightning shot down violently from the sky, bypassing the barriers, and smashed right into Cupcake’s tiny form.

BOOOOM!

The blinding energy scorched the arena. Absolutely everyone stared in profound disbelief, as a fully formed human leg walked confidently out from the epicenter of the explosion, and in mere seconds, as the smoke cleared, Cupcake had already took her complete appearance—a flawless, physical mirror image of Jessica herself.

"....?!"

Jessica, and the entire multi-empire audience were completely dumbfounded, their minds short-circuiting as they stared at the two identical Jessicas standing opposite each other on the arena stage.

"Why don’t we play a little." Cupcake said, wearing Jessica’s exact face but carrying a terrifying, playful smirk.

WHOOSH!

Absolutely everyone in the arena only saw a trailing streak of purple lightning, as Cupcake instantaneously appeared directly behind Jessica, completely bypassing her awareness.

’This?!! Even faster than a Lv500?!!’ Jessica was horrified and deeply shocked, as a devastating, energy-infused backhanded slap violently smashed right into her porcelain face, sending her flying uncontrollably to the side, the sheer force of the slap destroying the sound barrier with an explosive crack.

"I don’t understand, is everything related to Mirabella a monster?!" Yakima yelled hysterically from her VIP seat, gripping her hair.

"She is a one-woman army... That little cat that always seat on her shoulder is even stronger than a Lv500." Master Teacher Hayatobi muttered, lightly shaking his head in absolute awe and subtle terror:

’I can still remember when I encountered them in the first world, now... They can even fight me.’ He turned his gaze back to Mirabella, who was entirely unfazed and busy unwrapping another sweet.

"She doesn’t even look like someone who is in a competition." He muttered, realizing the Dragon Captain was treating a global blood-match like a casual picnic.

Down in the ruins of the stage, Jessica violently shook her ringing head, and slowly stood up, her vision swimming: ’Such attack force... What sort of Beast is this?’ She thought, her internal systems failing to categorize the anomaly.

Cupcake tilted her mirrored head to the side, her purple aura flaring: "Oh? You’re still getting back up? Seems I need to eat harder."

BOOOOM!

She shot forward like a fired missile, the physical constraints of her human form shifting as her nails aggressively elongating into massive, lethal long tiger claws, gleaming with purple lightning.

"I haven’t fought for a long time. Not with this form, I think!! Please entertain me well!!" Cupcake roared, her voice a mix of human speech and a terrifying, primal growl.

Jessica grimaced, pushing her dark energy to the absolute limit. Her golden mythic eye glowing blindingly brightly, and a massive, reinforced magical glass barrier composed of absolute spatial illusions appeared instantly between her and the violently charging Cupcake.

"Foolish human!! No illusions, debuffs, curse, or even poison works on me!! I am bath in the light and blood of my Master!!"

Cupcake didn’t even slow down. She viciously slashed her lightning-infused claws forward, instantly and catastrophically shattering the illusionary glass in front of her like fragile sugar, and kept still charging directly towards Jessica.

"This?!! How?!" Jessica was utterly dumbfounded, watching her defense crumble into nothingness before the might of a supreme familiar.
