"Do you think I have a chance of beating you in a fight if we both went all out?" Lilith asked him, and Xavier smiled.

"I don’t want to sound proud, but I’ll win every time."

"So young master, what are you planning to do now? The kingdom is under attack. Are you going to join the attack?" Lilith asked.

"What do you think?" Xavier asked her.

"I know you won’t sit still, but rushing into battle isn’t really the answer. I don’t know how this kingdom is planning to approach this war, but from the looks of it, we’re losing the war."

"Do you think the kingdom would be destroyed?"

"I don’t think you want the answer for that...I still have no idea how the kingdom is still standing. The fox I faced could destroy the kingdom on her own, and she isn’t the one leading the attacks," Lilith spoke.

"The attack is led by a demon queen, whom I’m going to kill," Xavier spoke, and Lilith looked at his face.

"You’re going to kill? Wait... you’re not joking, I don’t mean to put your hope down, but you’re definitely going to die. If your dad couldn’t defeat her, do you think you stand a chance?"

"I know you are stronger than before, and I’m not trying to hold you back, but she’s too much to handle, and before you can face the Queen, you’ll need to dispatch her armies first."

"I have sort of a plan, don’t worry though, I definitely won’t die," Xavier chuckled as he spoke.

"I’m sure you have something to do. Thank you for the duel," Lilith said as she bowed her head to Xavier.

"My pleasure, I’m going to rest," Xavier spoke as he walked away, but a thought came to his head.

’Wouldn’t this be the best time to sleep with Lilith, I mean, she’s going through a lot, but she isn’t going to say no, wait...what the fuck is wrong with me, the world is going to shit, and I’m still thinking about sex, now I miss Sylve.’

"I didn’t know there were beasts in the human continent, and why is she living in your house?" Star asked.

"My dad saved her life, I think, and she has nowhere else to go, so he brought her in. That was before I was born so I don’t know the details, but I like her."

"Also, now that I think about it, do you know anything about a nine-tailed fox beast? She attacked the capital along with the demon queen. I think she’s working with her?"

"A nine-tailed fox, I’ve seen seen nine tailed foxes before, but if you’re asking for a particular one, they aren’t interesting enough to get a dragon’s attention, and their mana level isn’t that great, but maybe they’re stronger than the average beastkin," Star replied.

"It doesn’t really matter; the goal hasn’t changed. I just need to kill the demon queen, and all of these would be over."

"I’m sure you want it to be over, but do you have some kind of plan in place other than fighting her, which you’re not sure you’ll win?"

"We should see the team before putting a plan in place, and besides, they would also have a plan," Xavier spoke as they walked through the hallway leading to his room.

"Nothing like home sweet home," Xavier yawned as he took off his shirt and lay down on the bed.

Star glanced at Xavier; his eyes were closed, so her eyes were stuck to him for a short while as she looked at his body. He was built; his body was toned like that of a Greek god.

Then she found herself remembering that night when Xavier was having sex, the thought came to her mind, but she quickly shook her head, not that she didn’t want to, but now wasn’t really a good time.

"My bed is big enough, you should rest...I know dragons don’t need..."

Before Xavier could finish, Star was already on the bed, a small smile formed on his face as he closed his eyes again, he wanted to get some shut-eye before heading to the academy.

Xavier’s eyes fluttered open as he felt a tap on his legs. He was still sleepy and proceeded to turn to the other side to continue, but suddenly he felt pain as the next wasn’t just a tap; instead, he was basically slapped.

Xavier turned around to see Star staring at him. He was still confused as to why she would wake him up until he remembered they had somewhere to be this evening.

Xavier quickly stood up and looked outside the window. The sun was barely up, and it was already evening.

"How could you sleep so calmly?"

"I’m home, it’s something people do," Xavier yawned as he stood up from the bed.

"We should go now, it’s going to get dark soon, and I’m eager to see those humans, I’d like to duel with them," Star spoke.

"People can’t know you’re a dragon until the very end. I can’t explain our situation, and we’re going to take a bath first before leaving."

"A bath?"

"Yes, and a change of clothes, wait...now that I think about it, how did you get these clothes?" 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"Ohh, from one of the demons I killed, I like it, so I took care not to damage it as I killed him or her, I have no idea," Star said with a smile as she looked at the clothes.

"Toss it, why would you be wearing clothes worn by demons and you’re proud of it?" Xavier shook his head as he pushed the door open.

One of the maids was passing by, and Xavier called her, "I want to take a bath. Can you check on the water in my bath?"

"The bath...your bath, at once, young master," she spoke as she darted away.

"She seems strange," Star mumbled.

"Not as strange as you wearing clothes from a demon you killed," Xavier replied.
