"JEHO-YA, I’m fine now," Cho Euntak assured Baek Jeho. "We didn’t have to go to the hospital, you know?"

Thankfully, the latte wasn’t burning hot.

Hence, Cho Euntak didn’t get burned severely.

Plus, the first aid worked.

Cho Euntak and Baek Jeho borrowed the café’s bathroom.

There, he removed his pants and ran cool water over his burned skin— the skin on his hands and legs, to be precise— for at least twenty minutes.

Then the café staff handed them some cling film to cover the burned areas.

Baek Jeho insisted on going to the hospital, so Cho Euntak had to be taken to the ER without his pants.

But, of course, his boyfriend used his jacket to cover his lower area.

Plus, they didn’t have to wait in the hospital as Baek Jeho was a VIP. He just made a quick call, and then a big shot doctor immediately came to see them.

It was a bit embarrassing since the burn wasn’t that bad anyway.

But the most annoying part?

"Jeho-ya, do we really need a private room?" Cho Euntak asked. "I don’t even need to be confined."

It was just a first-degree burn.

After the doctors applied a non-stick dressing on his burned skin, they assured them that he was completely fine now.

Cho Euntak couldn’t wear his pants since they were tight.

Hence, Baek Jeho called someone earlier while the doctors were treating his burns.

After the doctors left the room, his boyfriend handed him a short-sleeved shirt and loose-fitting pants with soft fabrics.

He changed into that instead of wearing the hospital pajamas.

I have no reason to stay here longer, anyway.

"How can I let you stay in the ward while you were being treated for your burns?" Baek Jeho said. "I can’t let other people see you almost naked."

Cho Euntak wanted to argue that there were curtains that separated the beds in the ward to give the patients’ privacy.

"Oh. Should we sue, then?"

Baek Jeho chuckled. "You don’t have to coddle me, you know? I know how much you hate dealing with troublesome things such as a lawsuit. And I was only half-joking. I know I should focus my anger on my father, but I still get mad every time I see Kim Minjae."

"Then let’s at least get some monetary compensation from him. It was an accident, yes. But it still happened in their café. So, let’s make them pay for the hospital bill. A petty revenge like that should be fine, right?"

"Dear, it’s okay," Kim Minjae said in a soft voice, causing Baek Jaedong to quickly shut his mouth. "I don’t own the café, and I’m not a staff member either. It’s my friend who owns the café. He was short-staffed because his part-timer suddenly quit, so he asked me for help."
