Maybe I really am a Villian
Chapter 49: Launch
Asher then said, "Let’s go, I am dying of hunger. Staying hungry is bad for health," and started walking.
Aria started following him without saying anything.
Adam and Noah also started following him, snapping out of their thoughts.
Then Aria moved closer to Asher and said in a quiet voice so the others couldn’t hear them, "There are people tailing us. What about them? I don’t think you haven’t noticed them, so what are you planning to do?"
Asher turned his face toward her without stopping and said, "Nothing. It does not matter if they follow us. As long as they don’t come in my way, I don’t care what they do."
Asher then kept walking without saying anything.
Aria just nodded and kept walking behind him.
Walking behind them, Adam asked in an irritated voice, "Where are we even going? Do you have a place in mind, or are you just walking without any specific destination?"
Asher replied, "We are going to a restaurant that I couldn’t try last time when I came here because I was getting late, so we are trying the food at that place. That place smelled promising," and kept walking.
Noah then asked, "When did you visit this place alone? I never saw you going outside.
Almost all the time after joining the academy, you spend your weekends in your room or the cafeteria."
Adam nodded at Noah’s words and looked at Asher for an answer.
Asher then replied, "I explored this city for some time on the day of Orientation, but I couldn’t explore it fully because I was getting late for the Orientation."
"So the reason you were late on the first day of the Academy was because you were exploring the food of this city? As expected from you," Adam said.
Noah said while sighing, "You almost missed the Orientation just because of this."
Asher turned his face toward him and said, "Look who’s saying this. You were asleep when I arrived in the auditorium."
Noah looked at the ground to hide his face and said, "I was just tired after traveling, that’s why I fell asleep."
Asher looked ahead and said, "Yeah sure, I am sure that was the real reason instead of you just getting bored by the speech and falling asleep."
Then all of them did not say anything for a while. Then Asher stopped in front of a restaurant and said, "We are at our destination."
Adam looked at the restaurant. It was a three-story building and did not seem like too expensive of a place, but also not cheap. The crowd of customers was also average.
Noah looked at the restaurant and said with a little surprise in his voice, "I thought you noble kids would dine at some 5-star hotel or something, but I guess I was wrong. I thought I would have to spend my whole pocket money to eat with you guys, but I guess I was worrying for nothing."
Asher then replied, "Those 5 star restaurant focus too much on food appearance, appearance of food is not even that important, the taste is more important " and then he walked inside the restaurant.
Everyone else followed after him.
After entering the restaurant, they sat in a corner on the ground floor.
Everyone then started scanning the menu to decide what to order.
A waiter arrived shortly afterward to take their order.
"Hello sir, what would you like to order?" the waiter said with a smile.
Asher looked at him and said, "For the main course, bring your best dish, and for dessert, bring every dessert on the menu."
The waiter blinked for a moment, clearly surprised by the order, but quickly regained his professional smile.
"Okay sir"
Then he looked at other and asked what would they like to order.
Everyone else also ordered the same thing.
"Okay sir. I’ll bring that right away," he said before turning and walking toward the kitchen.
The moment the waiter left, the table fell silent.
Aria looked at Asher and asked, "Why did you order the whole dessert menu?"
Asher replied calmly, "I just wanted to taste everything and see if there’s something that tastes better than what I’ve had before."
Noah looked at him and said, "There are over thirty items in the dessert section. How are you going to eat all of that?"
Asher turned to him and replied, "I’ll just taste a little of everything, and the rest can be packed and stored in my subspace."
Noah and Adam just sighed, tired of arguing with him.
The waiter and two assistants brought the order.
They placed the dishes carefully on the table.
Soon the table was filled with different kinds of food and a lot of desserts.
For a moment, everyone just looked at it.
Noah said, "Okay this actually looks crazy."
Adam nodded slightly. "Not bad, I guess."
Aria looked at the food and said calmly, "At least the presentation is good."
Asher didn’t say anything. He just picked up a spoon and started eating like it was normal.
The waiter stood there for a second, then slowly walked away after seeing them start eating.
Noah sighed and said, "This bill is going to be huge."
Asher replied without looking up, " Don’t worry about that and just focus on eating, I will pay for whole meal".
After hearing this, Noah did not hold back and started eating.
After half an hour, everyone had already eaten, though most of the desserts were still left. They were all too full to eat more.
After eating, Noah looked at Asher and said, "You are quite generous."
Asher just looked at him, then turned to Adam and said, "I am not generous, just other people are too stingy. It is not even that much for a noble."
Adam looked at Asher and said, while suppressing his anger, "Why are you saying that while looking at me? I am not stingy. Not every noble kid has too much money in the Academy. My parents don’t send me much so that I can learn the real value of money."
Asher looked at him for a moment, then smiled and said, "This excuse was good. 90 out of 100 marks for this."
