Maybe I really am a Villian
Chapter 51: Silvermere
As soon as Noah said those words, everyone fell silent.
Confused, Noah asked, "What happened? Did I say something wrong?"
Adam looked at him and sighed. "Why can’t you just stay silent? Why did you have to jinx it?"
Asher simply nodded at Adam’s words.
Noah then looked at Adam and said with a slight smile on his face, "Oh, don’t worry. Nothing will happen, I’m sure."
Adam stared at Noah for a few seconds before rubbing his forehead in frustration.
"You know," Adam said, "every time someone says that, something bad always happens afterward."
Noah replied, "You are overreacting now. We’ll be gone from here soon, nothing will happen, so stop worrying."
Just as Noah said that, a moment later, a nineteen-year-old boy entered the restaurant with two girls, one on either side of him.
He seemed to be a fourth-year student of the Academy, and the girls with him appeared to be second-year students.
After entering the restaurant, he shouted, "Hey waiter, bring me the best food you serve here, and some good alcohol too!"
The moment the boy shouted, the entire restaurant fell silent for a second before the noise slowly returned.
Many customers frowned at his loud behavior, but no one openly complained. A few people even lowered their heads after recognizing the emblem on his academy uniform.
Asher leaned back in his chair and casually looked toward the entrance. Unlike the others, his expression remained calm, almost uninterested.
Meanwhile, Aria slightly frowned after noticing the two girls beside the boy.
The fourth-year student arrogantly looked around the restaurant before his eyes landed on an empty table near Asher and the others.
Without hesitation, he walked toward it with the two girls following behind him.
As soon as he sat down, he placed his feet on the table and loudly said, "This place is worse than I expected. Do people actually eat here?"
The arrogant boy lazily looked around the restaurant while waiting for his order. However, the moment his eyes landed on Aria, his expression immediately changed.
The arrogance on his face disappeared for a brief second, replaced by surprise.
He quickly removed his feet from the table and stared at her carefully, as if making sure he was not mistaken.
"Aria Velmora "he said in disbelief.
Aria, on the other hand, only looked at him for a moment before calmly saying, "Cedric Silvermere".
Even Adam’s expression stiffened slightly.
The Silvermere family was famous throughout the continent. They owned the largest technology company on the continent, controlling everything from advanced communication devices to magical engineering equipment.
And Cedric Silvermere was the second son of that family.
Unlike his talented elder brother, Cedric was infamous for his arrogance, extravagant lifestyle, and terrible personality. Still, nobody dared to offend him because of the immense influence of the Silvermere family.
Cedric smirked after seeing that Aria recognized him.
"I didn’t expect to see you eating in a place like this," he said while glancing around the restaurant with clear disdain in his eyes. "I thought someone of your status would only dine at high-class places."
Aria calmly replied, "Unlike some people, I don’t judge places based only on price."
Cedric’s gaze then shifted toward Asher, who was sitting beside Aria with a completely relaxed expression.
The moment he noticed him, Cedric slightly frowned.
Asher looked far too ordinary compared to the others at the table. His clothes were simple, his appearance average, and unlike Adam or Noah, he did not seem nervous in the slightest.
What annoyed Cedric the most was how casually Asher was sitting close to Aria, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Cedric narrowed his eyes and asked, "And who exactly is he?"
Meanwhile Asher looked at him and then turned to Aria and asked "Who is he, your friend?"
The entire table fell silent.
Noah’s eyes widened in shock, while Adam slowly covered his face with one hand. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Even the two girls beside Cedric looked stunned after hearing that question.
Aria calmly replied, "Cedric Silvermere, second son of the Silvermere family."
Asher exclaimed in surprise, "Ohh, Silvermere!"
At his reply, Aria looked at him and asked, "You know him?"
Asher simply replied, "No, I don’t know him. But I know the Silvermere company. They have developed many interesting games."
Then he glanced at Cedric and said "I am Asher Astrean, youngest son of Duke Astrean "
Cedric’s expression shifted the moment he heard the introduction.
The faint amusement in his eyes disappeared completely, replaced by a more careful, measuring gaze.
The atmosphere around the table subtly changed again.
Even the two girls beside Cedric straightened slightly, now looking at Asher with a bit more seriousness than before.
But seeing the closeness between Aria and him, he frowned again, then looked at Asher and said, "You are quite ugly to be the brother of Aron and a duke’s son. I have never seen you before. I guess you are only good at combat, judging by your recent reputation at the Academy."
The moment those words left Cedric’s mouth, the atmosphere in the restaurant dropped instantly.
Even the background noise seemed to fade for a second.
Asher looked at him and said "Yeah , I am quite ugly"
Cedric and the two girls with him were surprised by Asher’s reply, not expecting such a response.
Meanwhile, Noah, Adam, and Aria did not seem surprised at all; already knowing his nature, it wasn’t even strange to them.
Cedric’s expression slowly shifted. The brief surprise in his eyes faded, replaced by clear irritation.
He clicked his tongue softly.
"You really don’t know how to speak properly, do you?" Cedric said, his tone turning annoyed. "Every sentence you say sounds like you’re trying to provoke someone."
Asher looked at him and said, "Is something wrong with your brain or something else? I’m calling myself ugly, so why is that provoking you?"
Noah slowly turned his head toward Adam, whispering, "I think... this is getting worse in a completely different direction now."
