Litty Prepares for the academy Festival

A corner of the academy with a high wall. A gloomy place where sunlight hardly reached. This was the place assigned to the elite class. Not only was it a place where few people came, but the space was only large enough for a single person to live.

The students wondered what they could do in such a small place, but for now they followed Litty’s lead.

“Merida-san is good at magic in general, right? The other students seem to have good grades in swordsmanship, and…” (Litty)

“Broadly speaking they were separated by physical strength, intellectual strength, etc… We have to check further.” (Roma)

No one interrupted Litty and Roma’s discussion, as Litty suggested what event they would be doing at the festival.

“Hey, Litty-san, can we really do this?”

“Of course, we can. You’re all going to be adventurers, right?”

“Yes, but I don’t really have any experience. I’m not sure if we can do it as Litty-san expects.”

“Then let’s train while we’re at it!”

Litty suggested an Adventurers’ Guild event. On the day of the academy festival, they would accept and resolve requests only within the academy.

Like a real guild, the client would pay a fee, but it was set at an unbelievably low price. This was a system in which the students would solve the requests brought in by clients.

Since it was limited to the campus, the work was only on the level of Rank 6 requests. But for inexperienced students, it would still be a tough job.

Therefore, Litty anticipated what type of requests they may receive and decided to classify them in groups. She would then check each student’s area of expertise and would assign them a specific request depending on their skills.

To do this, she had to know what they could do.

“Is this how you want the arrangement for the room to look like?”

“Yes. Let’s have two people at the reception counter, just in case.”

“Is this the kind of equipment we’ll need for the first-aid staff?”

“Yes, perfect!”

Even the elites of the academy could not deny Litty’s suggestions, as someone who had experience in a real battlefield and had done actual work at the guild. They recognized that even though she was younger than them, she could judge correctly what they needed to do.

“Kuufa-chan, is this a good simplification of the magic formula?”

“I think it’s fine.”

They needed to urgently train these inexperienced students, so that they were good enough to handle all possible requests during the academy festival.

“Roma-san, can we make it in time?”

“It’s going to be tough. A few of them don’t even know their roles.”

Litty was in charge of practical training, Roma was in charge of the overall schedule, and Kuufa was in charge of magic-related matters.

Roma’s concern was with the so-called “middle and lower ranked” students of the elite group. It was hard to see where they excelled, and what they could do.

They seemed to be aware of this, and looked uneasy.

“I’m at a loss, after all. Even though I’m in an elite class, I’m always just barely making the cut… I’m not good at anything.”

“Me too…”

“That’s not true.”

Roma dismissed their dejection as she knew best what was going on in their heads.

Just like her case with Litty, Roma simply lacked Litty’s overwhelming physical power, and although she may be strong against Kuufa physically, she did not have her overwhelming magic power. If she did not meet Litty however, she would have thought the same way as the depressed students in front of her.

“It’s not so much a question of your abilities as it is of your motivation. Isn’t there something you want to do?”

“I’m in the bottom of the class in both practicals and classroom work, so as long as I graduate in one piece, I’ll be fine. I’ll let my brothers, who are very good at what they do, take care of the rest.”

“I just barely made it into this class, and I agree with him…”
