After Going Viral on a Dating Show, I'm Pampered by All-Chapter 236: He Bravely Pushed Forward His Contact Information
Chapter 236: Chapter 236: He Bravely Pushed Forward His Contact Information
"No way, as the saying goes, ’save for an emergency, not for poverty.’ Uncle, please don’t make it difficult for Sister Qiao and me." Lin Weichen felt annoyed by his uncle’s shamelessness.
If he had known his uncle would come over today, he wouldn’t have asked Sister Qiao to stay for dinner.
"What do you mean, how is my borrowing money not urgent? The project is about to start. You call her Sister Qiao, right? I’m older than you, so I’ll call you Qiaoqiao. Qiaoqiao, your employees have done so much for you; are you saying you won’t lend the money?"
Lin Gou Dan stood there nonchalantly, squinting his deceitful eyes, staring straight at Sang Qiao.
"I can lend it, but you’ll need to sign a promissory note. I’ll also apply to the company for approval. If you can’t repay within the stipulated period, you might not keep your limbs intact."
Sang Qiao’s red lips curled into a faint smile, her eyes leisurely swept across Lin Gou Dan’s arms and legs.
Feeling a sudden pain in his limbs, Lin Gou Dan quickly said, "I mean, there’s no need to apply through your company, let’s just make it a personal loan. I don’t believe you, a supervisor, can’t come up with a mere twenty thousand!"
"Gou Dan!" Grandma Lin glared at her son, furious at his words.
He’s speaking to Weichen’s superior; does he really have to talk like that?
"If you’re borrowing from me...there are only two types of people I lend to: those who can’t afford medical bills due to serious illness and those who can’t afford funeral expenses. So, which one are you?"
Sang Qiao spoke softly, but her words sent shivers down one’s spine.
Lin Gou Dan grumbled discontentedly, "Do you have to be so stingy?"
"Just stop borrowing from others. If the business isn’t viable, then just give it up. Every business you get involved in with that group of friends ends up being a losing project."
Grandma Lin patted Gou Dan’s shoulder; she had advised him countless times, but those friends were clearly no good. Yet, Gou Dan still liked to hang out with them.
"If you won’t lend it, then fine. I’ll figure it out myself. I’m hungry, what’s for dinner?"
Lin Gou Dan kicked a stool nearby and sat down, his whole body radiating displeasure from not getting the loan.
"I’ll make you some noodles; you said you weren’t coming back, so we’ve eaten the dishes already." Grandma Lin sighed and gave Sang Qiao an apologetic smile.
"Add two eggs and some meat for me."
"Got it."
"Grandma, you sit down. I’ll cook." Lin Weichen picked up an apron nearby and headed to the kitchen.
"Alright, get some meat from the fridge to cut." Grandma Lin, seeing her grandson’s filial piety, felt comforted. If only her son was half as sensible as her grandson, she wouldn’t be so worried.
"Qiaoqiao, sorry you had to see that. Just ignore Gou Dan’s words as if he doesn’t exist."
"Sure, I understand."
Lin Gou Dan swung the chair legs back and forth at the dining table, looking with disdain at the chatting mother and female superior next to him.
He sneakily took his phone and snapped a few photos in their direction. Luckily, Grandma Lin was facing away, and only Sang Qiao’s face, beaming with a smile, was visible.
He quickly edited and uploaded the photos with the caption: "Beautiful girls indeed have it good—no much abilities, yet so young and already earning loads, everyone knows what that’s about."
With attached photos - three full-face photos of Sang Qiao.
His personal account didn’t have many followers. He just followed a bunch of wealthy bros, surfed the web together, and posted a lot of misogynistic comments, mainly because he couldn’t stand the way women were favored.
Lin Gou Dan had sent out his message and then quit the app, since nobody usually replied to him anyway.
But before he could turn off his phone, he saw a message from his rich buddy, "Gou Dan, whose photo did you post? She looks pretty good, introduce her to me, I’ll bring you along next time we go out!"
"Young Master Zhu, do you really like such an arrogant woman? She’s literally got her nose up in the air, so full of herself. When she came to my house, she didn’t even bother to acknowledge me!"
Young Master Zhu replied, "Mind your own business. You and I are not the same, get it? Just give me her contact info if I ask for it. Even if you don’t give it to me, I could still find it after working on it for a bit."
"Sure, sure. Young Master Zhu, a man of talents with high value, even a haughty woman would fawn over you once she hears about your status. We’re brothers, of course I’ll hook you up. I’ll get her contact info for you right now."
After Lin Gou Dan finished replying, Lin Weichen happened to come out with a plate of noodles, which he set on the table.
Lin Gou Dan tugged at his nephew’s hand, whispering, "Weichen, pass me your boss’s contact info."
"Why do you need Sister Qiao’s contact info?" Lin Weichen couldn’t help but frown.
"Nevermind that, just hand it over. You won’t lend me money, at least don’t be stingy with a contact info," Lin Gou Dan snapped, getting impatient. His nephew was becoming more miserly by the day.
He didn’t want to delay too long; if Young Master Zhu thought he was being coy and unwilling, it could jeopardize their brotherhood!
"Just a minute, let me ask Sister Qiao." Lin Weichen didn’t dare to give Sister Qiao’s contact info to his uncle on his own. Who knew what his uncle would do?
What if he used his name to concoct stories and deceive Sister Qiao?
"Why ask? Girls giving out their contact info is embarrassing for them, just recommend it to me. When I add her later, she’ll still have to accept, right? What are you afraid of? She can refuse if she doesn’t want to add me."
Lin Gou Dan yanked his nephew’s clothes harder, growing even more annoyed. How could he be so foolish!
No wonder his nephew was struggling to become famous despite acting in so many films—too simple and honest!
"Alright, fine." Lin Weichen, feeling harassed, opened his WeChat and started scrolling.
In the end, he reluctantly recommended a contact he had from the film set who had been pestering and clinging to him—an obese rich lady weighing 250 pounds.
Lin Weichen thought he was doing a good deed; after all, it was the rich woman who, failing to woo him, settled for asking him to introduce a friend to her next time.
Although his uncle wasn’t attractive, maybe the rich lady saw something different in him.
Lin Gou Dan looked at the WeChat message, which read: Lin Weichen recommended - "Fairy Doesn’t Eat, Drinks Dew!" frёeωebɳovel.com
The profile picture seemed to be a back shot of a person wearing cool clothes showing off perfect curves.
A smile appeared on his face; so pretentious, he thought she was so aloof, but she turned out to be nothing but sleazy. And a fairy? Ha!
Without hesitation, he recommended this "Fairy Doesn’t Eat, Drinks Dew" to Young Master Zhu.
"Young Master Zhu, I got the contact info for you. When she heard your esteemed name, she was incredibly shy and kept asking me about your preferences."
Young Master Zhu replied, "Gou Dan, I knew you could handle it! If this works out, I’ll treat you to a meal."
"No need, no need. Serving Young Master Zhu is my honor. I’ve got a feeling this will work out!"
