An Extra's POV-Chapter 977: Final War Begins
"We are heading off to war this very instant."
Rey stood at the forefront of the Eastern Continent's shore, his gaze on all the members present in the meeting. Every single important figure was watching him as he addressed them: Ater, The Oracle, the Fairy King's hologram, the representative of each Race, the Otherworlders, the Adventurers Guildmaster, and finally Fae.
The latter was the most excited after hearing the news, her wings fluttering in delight.
"Based on my analysis, we possess exactly 3,891,344 forces in our army. This accounts for all the Undead you have in stock, and every single soldier in the battalions you have gathered."
Everyone nodded, some displaying shock that Rey was able to count their exact numbers in a mere instant. This wouldn't have shocked them if they knew just how far he had transcended the bounds of normal.
He was the ultimate life form of H'Trae at the moment.
"That is sufficient." He added. "We still do not know how massive the enemy's forces are, but that is inconsequential. It is riskier to wait, and more optimal to strike now."
Using the power of [Clairvoyance], Rey already narrowed down the location of [Reset] to the Northern Continent; the same place that Adrien was located. Whether he was the one with [Reset] or not, it was optimal that they struck to obtain the Primeval Skill.
'[Reset] and [Skill Creation] are both in our enemy's territory, so we have every incentive to attack.' He reasoned. 'Plus, now that Adrien knows I'm around, he'll try his best to speed up his plan and create more obstacles for me.'
In order to prevent that from happening, they had to act now.
"We'll send all our Undead forces as a probe and gauge the enemy's power. Afterwards, we'll attack." Rey revealed.
"But, the Undead make up a third of our overall forces." Justin spoke up quickly. "Is it really wise to use up so many as probes?"
He and Belle were the ones in charge of the Undead in his absence, so they knew how vital the forces were. Wasting them as the advance squad made them a little squeamish.
"It is necessary for us to get rid of them." Rey sighed. "Their Miasma would get in the way of our overall forces. In the end, we are living beings and they are Undead, Miasma and Mana can not fully work together."
The army had to be separated either way.
"However, rather than sacrifice our own troops, it's better to send expendable units to battle first. If we choose a small number, we won't be able to fully probe Adrien's strength, which is why need to attack in bulk."
Everyone instantly understood Rey's intentions once he clarified his plan.
"Adrien also has the ability to control Undead, and we have no idea how much his power has grown. In the circumstance that he can hijack our control over those Undead, it's best we do not attack at the same time they do."
In the worst case scenario, Ater could cause their self-destruction since he possessed ownership of their Soul.
"That way, even if it's a loss to us, the enemy will have no access to our forces."
Everyone nodded.
"I am confident that they won't be hijacked, though." Ater added. "Adrien is indeed impressive, but I reckon he still has a long way to go before he reaches my level."
"Perhaps if you used Ancient MajiK, but… you used your Skills on those Undead, right?"
"Yeah… fair enough."
Rey cast his gaze on the enemy continent and his brows furrowed.
"Whatever Adrien is up to gives me a bad feeling. He's always been a step ahead and he definitely has trump cards. However, I can't let that scare me. What we have to do is obvious, so let's all take the risks involved and fight!"
Rey was ready to fight for this world with everything he had.
"YEAHHHH!!!"
So was everyone else.
The troops assembled, and in the blink of an eye, Rey transported the entire Eastern Continent away from its previous position.
~VWUUUUUUSSSSSSHHHH!!!~
It was uprooted from the waters, rapidly ascending into the air as a floating fortress.
This fortress was swiftly teleported away from the East, traveling due north at unfathomable speeds. The sheer mass of the continent, and the amount of power required to move it, was immeasurable to most people.
But Rey was more than able to achieve this feat.

'Using [Mass Effect] to affect the entire Continent, and controlling it with my other Skills, I can control it.'
This made the continent itself a weapon.
'And now… for the initial strike.'
Rey already knew that Ater had hidden his stockpile of Undead in various locations, so he opened a gate in all of those areas and caused the miasma-filled troops to rush out as they organized themselves atop the ocean.
The wide ocean seemed to turn into solid ground as the million Undead troops made formations, dividing their ranks based on expertise and level of power.
With Ater as their commander, they established their formation in no time.
"A-Amazing!" Even Fae was impressed by Ater's skill in generating formations. As a Fairy who spend millennia learning about all kinds of battle formations, his ability in swiftly organizing his army in the most appropriate positions was stellar.
She was once again impressed by Ater.
"Get ready to move out!" Rey's loud voice caused the entire battlefield to quake as everyone watched in sheer reverence as he gave commands.
In the past, Fae had very little to say about Rey, not respecting him at all.
But now?
"He truly is amazing! The most amazing entity in this world."
She completely acknowledged him.
"War is about to begin, everyone… so brace yourself."
The troops marched ahead, with the Eastern Continent floating in the air, as they neared the completely dark Northern Continent.
Rumbles of intense energy caused everything to shake, and everyone could feel the intense pangs of nervousness assail their bodies.
However, they stood strong.
"Incoming troops! Enemy has sent incoming troops!"
As if thinking the exact same thing as Rey, Adrien sent his own Undead army forward, their numbers double the size of Rey's, while also consisting of multiple Dragons—many of whom were Generals.
Each wing was led by the Undead Dragon Lords, with Generals commanding battalions under them. It was an incredibly sophisticated formation, with quantity and quality exceeding Ater's army.
However, Ater's smile only broadened upon seeing this.
"Do you think you can break through their ranks and exterminate this wave?" Rey asked him, unable to see the future due to two main reasons.
One was that [Clairvoyance] was being affected by this world being cut off from the System, hence it could only be used in small bursts at a time and wasn't entirely accurate. As for the second reason, it was the interference being generated from the Northern Continent.
The closer they got to the place, the more Rey could feel his Skills being affected.
As a result, he needed Ater's frank response to be certain of their current situation: would they encounter a loss in this round?
"It's going to be a little tough, considering the sheer mass of his army."
"But would you lose?"
Ater shook his head as he commanded his army to charge forward.
"I'd win!"
