Beast Hack: Customizing Beasts and Capturing Beauties-Chapter 359: Beast Castle Deployed First
Victor stood at the edge of the crumbled platform, overlooking the wide terrain.
His blue eyes scanned the area with calm calculation.
"So this is the place we'll be fighting."
Varen crossed his arms, standing a few meters behind him.
"Yeah. This is it."
Victor turned slightly. "And they're not here yet?"
Varen clicked his tongue.
"No. It's barely past four in the morning. They said sunrise."
He glanced toward the faint glow building on the horizon.
"Technically, they're not late."
Victor's lip curled into a faint smirk.
"How punctual of them."
He turned back toward the field, then looked at the massive black containment cage set behind their staging platform.
Reinforced chains crisscrossed the cage walls, runes glowing faintly with containment seals.
Victor stepped closer to it, eyes focused.
"I really want to see how strong it's become…"
He placed one gloved hand against the cold metal of the cage.
"After being modified by both Elder Theron and Elder Brother Cassius."
"This thing should be something new. Something worthy of being unleashed."
Varen's jaw tensed. "It better be."
He looked back toward the sky.
"Because I'm sick of Luxoria Castle's smug face."
"That post—mocking us? Calling us broke and bankrupt? They've crossed the line."
Victor didn't look away from the cage. "Good."
He tapped the metal twice. The beast inside stirred.
"They'll regret it."
Varen turned to him, voice low but sharp.
"Just make sure your beast holds."
Victor smiled faintly. "It won't need to hold."
He looked at Varen directly, eyes colder than before.
"It'll dominate."
---
Far above the terrain, soaring just beneath the thinning clouds, a massive wind-and-thunder beast drifted silently.
Zephyron glided without a sound, riding the currents with majestic stillness.
Upon its back stood three figures.
At the front, Elaris Myralis stood with one foot braced against the armored ridge.
Arms crossed, sharp eyes locked on the distant battlefield below.
"So that's where the battle starts."
Behind her, Velmara Myralis sat calmly, one hand resting on Zephyron's back.
"They chose well. Isolated. Wild. No witnesses. No interference."
Elaris smirked slightly. "Except us."
Further back, cloaked in layers of living flora and seated in silence, was the Verdant Matriarch, Sylvaine Myralis.
She finally spoke. "We won't intervene. We observe."
Elaris nodded without turning.
"Of course. But you can't deny it's tempting."
She glanced downward.
"Varen's already here. And he's not alone."
Velmara shifted forward slightly, her gaze narrowing.

"That's Victor Aurelius down there."
Elaris let out a dry chuckle.
"So Beast Castle's pride isn't enough. They're borrowing brains now."
Sylvaine didn't flinch.
"It means they're desperate."
Velmara also found a massive black cage stationed behind Victor.
"And that… is something we haven't seen before."
Elaris narrowed her eyes.
"Something the Aurelius family made."
Sylvaine's fingers tightened slightly on the straps embedded in Zephyron's back.
"Watch closely and see what it's for."
Elaris smirked, raising a hand to block the glare.
"Let's see who bleeds first."
---
From a craggy outcrop overlooking the eastern side of the battlefield.
Three silent figures stood against the wind.
The oldest, a towering figure draped in beast-hide armor, stood like a statue.
Vandred Valefor, the patriarch of the Valeforer family, watched with interest.
Beside him stood his eldest son, Caelan Valefor, straight-backed and armored in his custom gear.
And leaning against a boulder with one foot casually planted on a ledge was Raiven Valefor.
Caelan broke the silence first. "Beast Castle arrived first."
Raiven snorted quietly.
"Of course they did. Screaming pride shows up before skill."
Vandred didn't respond.
He kept his eyes locked on the huge containment cage below.
"Victor Aurelius is here," Caelan added.
"Which means Aurelius involvement is official."
Raiven narrowed his eyes.
"That makes this more than a duel. It's a warning."
Caelan nodded. "And a test."
Vandred finally spoke.
"If Luxoria wins, they become fact. Not theory. Not hype. Reality."
He looked toward Raiven, his eyes glinting beneath his heavy brow.
"You were the first Valefor to buy from Luxoria Castle."
Raiven smirked. "Still the best purchase I've made."
"Then you watch this," Vandred said, voice heavy with expectation.
"You judge if the castle that sold you Dreadmaw… still deserves your respect."
Raiven's gaze sharpened. "If they break under pressure, I'll walk away."
Caelan glanced sideways. "And if they don't break?"
Raiven's lips curved slightly. "Then maybe I bet on the right monster."
Vandred's voice came like iron striking stone.
"If they lose, Luxoria dies here."
He leaned forward slightly.
"But if they win…"
He cracked one massive knuckle.
"…then even the Valefor must look again."

Far from the crowded staging grounds.
Perched on a steep cliff with an unobstructed view of the battlefield.
Sylvia Aurelius sat alone beneath the shade of a jagged stone arch.
She leaned back against the rock, one leg crossed over the other.
Her eyes scanned the field below, catching sight of Varen Aldren standing beside the containment cage.
Victor was a step behind him.
"Tactician to the end."
Then her eyes shifted to the open field.
Luxoria Castle had yet to arrive.
Sylvia smirked.
"They'll come. They're arrogant, but not stupid."
She let out a quiet exhale and stared deeper into the wasteland where the battle would begin.
"Let them come and let them pay."
Her tone sharpened with quiet venom.
"For what they did."
She thought back to the labs that exploded—twice.
The smirking Lord L who dared put Aurelius technology in checkmate.
The beasts that couldn't be dissected.
And Cassius locked himself away with Theron to build something "better."
They weren't here now. Too focused on their own obsessions.
But she came to see the end of the insult herself.
"The moment Luxoria steps onto that field is the moment the consequences begin."
Her eyes gleamed.
"And I want a front-row seat when their god-complex breaks."
She glanced toward the rising sun and waited.
---
Fiona adjusted her mic, glancing at the sky.
She turned back to the camera, her smile widening.
"Alright, people—everyone's in position."
Her drone zoomed out, revealing the vast battlefield now buzzing with anticipation.
Several cloaked figures from various factions lingered at the edges, watching.
The massive containment cage loomed ominously behind Beast Castle Camp.
Fiona grinned.
"The spectators are here. The elites are watching. Beast Castle's locked in."
She leaned toward the camera, her voice playful but biting.
"Now all that's left… is Luxoria Castle."
She straightened up, looking off toward the distant cliffs.
"Are they stalling? Cold feet? Or are they just making us wait to build the tension?"
Just as she spoke, a light breeze shifted the sands.
From one of the far cliffs, away from the center.
A woman in a flowing silver dress stood alone, her arms behind her back.
"What a nice stage… Isn't it?"
Fiona's camera immediately locked on her.
"Oh?" Fiona said, raising her eyebrow.
"What's this now?"
