Becoming a God Starts with Acting-Chapter 103: [Fish] - Nerio’s Part (15)
Chapter 103: [Fish] - Nerio’s Part (15)
Nightfall in the dungeon always came quickly, and this dungeon was no exception.
In no time, darkness had crept into every corner, bringing a chilling cold—not just the damp cold of the stone walls surrounding the castle but a bone-deep frost that seemed to cut through the soul.
Lucian, lying on the bed, suddenly opened his eyes wide. His blue eyes seemed to glow in the dark. He sat up, adjusted his clothes, then slowly stepped out of the room, his face devoid of emotion.
[He finally woke up. I thought he was going to sleep through the end of humanity until this dungeon closed down...]
[Don’t make it sound so dramatic. This is just the composure of a strong man!]
[Meanwhile, the humans are like ants scrambling on a frying pan, haha!]
[But so what? They’ve got Nerio on their side. In the end, humanity will still win.]
[Who knows? Maybe Nerio’s just here for fun. He might let all the humans die to spice things up.]
[...Now that you mention it, that... makes sense...]
[No! That’s impossible! Nerio is an angel!]
[Seriously though... no angel acts like that...]
Silvanus ignored the viewers’ comments and swiftly approached Mr. and Mrs. William’s room.
As soon as he knocked, Mr. William’s deep voice came from inside:
"It’s not locked. Come in."
Lucian pushed the door open, but the scene that met his eyes made him frown.
Mr. William was seated on a luxurious chair adorned with gold and gemstones. Next to him were several exorcist girls—the blonde was practically draped across his lap.
Mr. William stroked them with an expressionless face. Each touch made the girls moan with joy, their eyes full of admiration and desire. They wanted this man—this rich, powerful man—for themselves. What could be better? They were so lost in their fantasies that they didn’t even notice the door had opened or that Lucian had entered.
As for Mrs. William, she was nowhere to be seen. No one knew where she had gone.
But Silvanus, trusting his instincts, felt that she probably wouldn’t have reacted to this scene even if she had been here.
"Father, what are you doing?" Lucian frowned at his father, his beautiful eyes filled with disapproval.
Mr. William raised an eyebrow at Lucian’s expression, then casually waved a hand.
The women instinctively stood up. The blonde girl looked reluctant, but when she met Mr. William’s cold, emotionless gaze, she instinctively shrank back, a flicker of fear in her eyes.
At that moment, she and her companions couldn’t help but recall Benjamin’s warning.
Only now did they begin to snap out of the illusion spun by power and wealth.
But she quickly pulled herself together—her choice was not wrong! Benjamin’s group was extraordinary; she ensured her survival by following the William family.
Mr. William glanced at Lucian, then gestured to the women behind him.
The short-haired woman immediately began to speak, revealing everything: that they were all frauds, none had any actual exorcism abilities, and that Benjamin’s group was simply making things up—perhaps even under the influence of the demon inside the castle.
They looked at Lucian with hopeful eyes, expecting to see surprise and gratitude in his gaze. The longer they looked, the more captivated they became by Lucian’s face. Why had they never noticed before how beautiful he was? A face so divine made them want to give up everything for him. At that moment, they seemed to forget Mr. William even existed.
The short-haired girl stepped closer and closer to Lucian, lifting her hand slightly as if to touch his exquisite face. Her expression grew nearly frenzied, her eyes brimming with desire and excitement.
She wanted him. She had to have him!
Mr. William watched this unfold, his eyes drifting to Lucian’s flawless face. Even with his brows furrowed in displeasure, Lucian looked almost unreal in his beauty.
"Slash!"
The sound of flesh being cut rang out, followed by something falling to the floor—rolling twice before stopping at the feet of the blonde girl.
She widened her eyes in horror, staring into the frenzied gaze in the short-haired girl’s eyes.
Her head lay on the floor, expression unchanged. She had died without pain, without even realizing she had died.
"Aaaaaaaaah!!"
The two remaining girls almost simultaneously screamed, using every ounce of strength to flee from the lavish room they had once dreamed of. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
"SLAM!"
The door automatically shut the moment they ran out, silencing their hysterical screams. The room was silent, leaving only Mr. William and Lucian facing each other.
"Drip. Drip. Drip."
The sound of water echoed as the floor suddenly turned to liquid. It quickly swallowed the short-haired girl’s head and body, instantly cleaning everything up.
Only when the last trace of red vanished from the floor did Mr. William raise his eyes to look at Lucian. He spoke slowly:
"You never used to care about things like this. So what now? Are you suddenly feeling indignant on your mother’s behalf? Or... do you feel uneasy seeing me surrounded like this?"
As he spoke, he stepped closer to Lucian.
His face lowered until it was so close that their noses were nearly touching.
His eyes, devoid of light, were deep and unfathomable as if they could see through a person’s soul. Yet at that moment, the only thing reflected in those eyes was Lucian’s ethereally beautiful face.
Mr. William raised a hand and gently stroked Lucian’s face as though he were touching a priceless treasure. His gaze filled with obsession.
"Father, this is my face."
Lucian’s voice suddenly rang out.
Only then did Mr. William blink and lift his gaze. He pinched Lucian’s cheek lightly and laughed, completely unbothered.
"Ah, my goodness, I almost forgot. But really, this face is flawless. Suddenly, I feel tempted to know what it’s like to be young again."
He said this with a smile, his eyes glinting with hidden meaning as he looked at Lucian.
Lucian met his father’s gaze, the silence between them so thick it was almost suffocating.
"Drip... drip..."
Suddenly, the sound of water hitting the floor echoed in the room. A flicker of surprise crossed Mr. William’s expression.
Lucian’s lips were pressed into a thin line. Silent tears slid down his cheeks.
"I’m the child you love the most... aren’t I?"
Mr. William quickly wiped the tears from Lucian’s face, not caring that his pristine white gloves were soaked. For a moment, he even seemed panicked.
"I’m sorry. I was joking, truly. My son, of course, I love you the most."
[I was expecting a life-or-death battle scene, and is this what I get? Is Mr. William seriously not noticing anything weird at all?]
