Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 120: Exposing-2
Chapter 120: Chapter 120: Exposing-2
Jasper was in disbelief. He pointed at Nora with exasperation and asked,
"You...you were lying all along?"
The businessmen who had once stood by Nora, who had showered her with gifts and flattery, were now filled with regret.
Their expressions darkened as they realized the truth—they had been deceived.
One of them, an older man with graying hair, stepped forward hesitantly.
"Miss Dawn... I— I apologize for my earlier behavior. I was blind. Please, allow me to make amends."
Another man, the one with the round belly, rubbed his hands nervously.
"Yes, Miss Dawn! It was all a misunderstanding! If I had known, I would have never—"
Before he could finish, another businessman stepped forward, bowing slightly.
"Miss Dawn, we deeply regret doubting you. Please, don’t hold this against us."
One by one, they all tried to gain Aurora’s favor, their voices overlapping as they scrambled to fix their mistake.
But Aurora didn’t even spare them a glance.
She ignored their desperate attempts, walking past them as if they didn’t exist. Her cold presence made it clear—she wasn’t interested in their apologies.
Instead, her gaze fell on Alex.
The men who had been holding Alex still hesitated, unsure whether they should listen to her.
Aurora’s eyes sharpened.
"I said, move aside," she commanded.
Her voice was calm, but the weight behind it was undeniable.
The men stiffened. The authority in her tone left no room for argument.
They exchanged glances before reluctantly releasing Alex, stepping back with lowered heads.
Alex swayed slightly, his body sore from the rough treatment he had endured. His wrists were red from how tightly he had been restrained.
His lips were cracked, and his breathing was uneven.
His eyes looked lifeless.
Aurora walked up to him, her steps slow and deliberate.
She stopped just in front of him.
Then, without hesitation, she extended her hand toward him.
Her fingers were slender, her palm open, waiting.
Alex looked at her hand, then up at her face.
His expression was unreadable.
There was no mockery in her gaze. No hesitation.
Wasn’t she disgusted by him? Because he was... every day when he saw himself in the mirror he kept on thinking how much Mary was disgusted to see him...
He lowered his head and said in a hoarse voice,
"Thank you."
With that, he turned around and left.
Aurora stood frozen for a while before taking a deep breath and turning toward Nora and Jasper.
These two people were the main cause of her brother’s misery.
If she let them off easily, then it would be equivalent to letting him down.
Not to mention...
Aurora’s eyes shifted to Jasper, and a hint of murderous intent appeared in her eyes.
For a moment she had a strange urge to kill Jasper right away.
Her fingers twitched, and just as she was about to move, a hand pressed on her shoulder,
"What are you thinking, Dawn?" ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
It was Emily.
She had deliberately emphasized her words as if to bring Aurora out of a trance.
Aurora blinked, surprised by her own thought and reaction. Taking a deep breath, she said in a cold voice,
"I, Dawn, hereby announce that if any investor or businessman befriends the Green family or helps the Green corporation, I will never ever help them."
The room went silent. Dead silent.
Aurora’s words echoed like a heavy hammer, smashing any hope Nora and Jasper had left.
The businessmen looked at each other, their faces pale.
Dawn’s words weren’t just a simple threat. They were a warning. A promise.
Everyone knew how powerful she was.
If she refused to work with anyone who supported the Green family, then the Green family was as good as ruined.
Jasper clenched his fists, his face twisting in anger. "You— You can’t do this!" he shouted. "This is unfair!"
Aurora tilted her head, her eyes cold.
"Unfair?" she repeated. "And what about what you did to your half-brother? Was that fair?"
"It was! His mother was in the wrong! Why did she marry my father when she already knew that she was pregnant? Not only did she ruin her life, but she ruined my father’s and mother’s life too!
My father and mother were childhood sweethearts. If only my father suddenly hadn’t felt a physical attraction toward his mother, my mom would have ended up with him!
His mother could have stopped the wedding by announcing her pregnancy, but what did she do? She stayed silent!
She was the problem! If she had stayed away, my mother would have claimed what was rightfully hers! Alex’s mother was a golddigger..."
Slap.
Aurora didn’t hold back and slapped Jasper again,
"One more word, and I will slap you again. Do you think your father was a saint? If he truly loved your mother, no one could have separated them."
Jasper glared at Aurora and looked as if he wanted to kill her,
"So Alex’s mother was innocent? That is what you are claiming? A woman who married a man knowing she was pregnant with an unknown man’s child, do you think she is innocent?"
Aurora gritted her teeth and lifted her hand to slap him again, but suddenly someone gripped her hand tightly.
When she turned around she saw Emily who was shaking her head.
Aurora understood her reaction and could only close her eyes. Suppressing the rising anger in her heart, she turned toward Nora,
"And you. You tried to impersonate me, I will sue you."
Nora’s face turned pale. Her lips trembled as she shook her head quickly.
"N-No! Miss Dawn, please! I didn’t mean any harm! I—"
Aurora’s cold stare shut her up.
"You stole my identity," Aurora said, her voice calm but sharp. "Do you think that’s something small?"
Nora fell to the ground, clutching Aurora’s dress desperately.
"Please! I was desperate! I— I only wanted to be someone important! I—"
Aurora pulled her dress away and took a step back.
"Desperate? Miss Nora, are you dumb, or are you pretending to be dumb? You impersonated me, took gifts, and maybe planned to sell them later and leave the country, right?"
