Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 122: Books
Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Books
Aurora curled up tighter, her body shaking. Her stomach churned, and she felt sick.
She pressed a hand to her mouth, trying to breathe, but the nausea only got worse.
Her mind wouldn’t stop replaying everything—her mother’s tears, her own cruel words, the pain Mary must have felt all those years.
Aurora threw the blanket off her and sat up quickly.
The room spun, and a wave of dizziness washed over her. She swallowed hard, forcing herself to take deep breaths.
But it wasn’t enough.
She stumbled out of bed, rushing to the bathroom.
As soon as she reached the sink, she gagged. Nothing came out at first, just dry heaving, but then bile burned her throat.
Aurora gripped the sink tightly, her legs shaking. Tears mixed with sweat on her face.
When she finally stopped, she felt weak. Her body was cold, but her forehead burned.
She turned on the faucet and splashed water on her face, trying to steady her breath.
But even as she wiped her mouth, the heavy feeling in her chest didn’t go away.
She looked at herself in the mirror. Her face was pale, her eyes red and swollen. She barely recognized herself.
Aurora backed away, hugging herself.
She didn’t want to go back to bed. She knew she wouldn’t be able to sleep.
Her thoughts were too loud. Her heart was too heavy.
She walked out of the bathroom and sat by the window, pulling her knees to her chest.
The city lights twinkled outside, bright and alive, but Aurora felt like she was sinking in the dark.

Aurora slept till afternoon. At first, the family members were concerned, but when they realised that she was responding, they decided not to disturb her.
After waking up, Aurora rubbed her puffy eyes and took a shower.
Staring at herself in the mirror, she muttered softly,
"Don’t cry anymore from now on. You can’t be weak; you need to be strong. Now you have power...you can hunt down all those who have wronged your family!"
She kept on repeating those words.
At first she her heart was heavy, but slowly, the words seemed to have improved her mood, and she forced herself to smile.
Coming out of the bathroom, she got changed into a casual green t-shirt and black trousers. It was an odd combination and yet it looked beautiful on her.
As soon as she exited her room, she almost crashed into Olivia.
"Ah! Can’t you watch where you are going?" Aurora asked as she rubbed her forehead.
Olivia rolled her eyes,
"No, I left them in my room."
Aurora rolled her eyes,
"Olivia, I feel like you are getting old. Now your lame jokes seem blind to me."
"Wow! Should I laugh?" Olivia asked as she faked a laugh.
Aurora: "..."
Taking a deep breath she made a beeline toward the dining table, while Olivia heated up breakfast for Aurora.
After breakfast, Olivia stopped Aurora and asked seriously,
"What are you planning do now?"
"Sleep?" Aurora said as if it was the most natural thing.
"I am talking about your future. You might have to start from middle school...after all, when you fell into a coma, you were only 14 years old...now you have become 17...
Aurora froze for a moment.
Right. She had lost three years.
She was 17 now, but in school, she was still a 14-year-old.
Her hands clenched into fists. It wasn’t fair.
Olivia noticed her tense face and sighed. "Look, I know it’s hard, but you have to think about this. What do you want to do?"
Aurora looked down at her plate, pushing the leftover food around with her fork.
Go back to school? Sit in a classroom with kids younger than her? She couldn’t imagine it.
"I don’t know," she said honestly.
Olivia sat down across from her. "You don’t have to decide right away. But running away from it won’t help."
Aurora let out a frustrated breath.
"I don’t want to waste time," she muttered. "I’ve already lost three years."
"Then catch up," Olivia said simply. "You have the brains for it. If you work hard, you can graduate faster."
Aurora could only nod.
"Middle school books are placed on the bookshelf. You can check it out, and if you encounter any problems, tell me. I will teach you."
As soon as she returned to her room, Aurora took out the book from her shelf and flipped them.
She was expecting to not understand even a single word, but to her surprise...
"Eh? Why do I feel the answer to this question is 40?"
She flipped to the answer sheet, and to Aurora’s surprise, her guess was right.
Believing it was beginner’s luck, she found another problem problem,
"A bag contains 4 red marbles, 6 yellow marbles, and 5 blue marbles. If two marbles are drawn at random, what is the probability that both are yellow?"
Aurora’s heart raced a little. She had never been great at math before, so why did this feel... fun?
"Okay," she whispered. "Total marbles... 4 plus 6 plus 5... that’s 15."
"The first yellow marble... chance is 6/15."
"If I take one yellow out, then 5 yellow are left... and 14 marbles remain."
"So, the second yellow is 5/14."
She quickly multiplied.
"6/15 × 5/14 = 30/210."
She simplified it.
"1/7!"
Aurora flipped to the answer key again.
Correct.
Aurora stretched her arms and let out a deep sigh.
The books were scattered all around her, but she didn’t feel tired. Instead, she felt... excited.
She had gone through every subject—math, science, history, even literature. At first, she was just testing herself, but soon she realized something strange.
She wasn’t struggling at all.
It was like the answers were already in her head, just waiting for her to find them.
She had never felt this smart before. Before the coma, school was just something she had to do. She didn’t hate it, but she wasn’t a genius either.
But now?
It felt like her brain had leveled up.
