Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 142: Photo
Chapter 142: Chapter 142: Photo
The masked man handed her a phone and nodded.
"Do it quick. Make it look bad. Real bad. We will bring in reporter."
There were a total of 5 women inside. 4 quickly got ready to click the photo. Only the last woman looked hesitant.
She was a woman in her early twenties and looked beautiful, and was recently kidnapped. This was her first task.
At first she resisted, but when she was beaten by the kidnapper, she decided to remain silent.
She wanted to escape, but she was blind and could only wait for her father to rescue her.
"What are you all doing?" She asked hesitantly.
"Well, as you see...oh, sorry, you can’t see. We are going to take pictures of this guy with us, so that he can’t become the next CEO."
The blind woman’s face twisted with confusion. "But... that’s wrong. Why would you do that?"
One of the women, a blonde with way too much lipstick, laughed bitterly. "Wrong? Girl, nothing’s right around here. We just do what they tell us to. Unless you wanna get hurt again."
The blind woman shivered, remembering the pain from before. She wanted to argue, but she didn’t dare.
"Just stay out of the way," the blonde added. "The faster we do this, the faster it’s over."
The other women were already moving around Adam. They messed up his hair, pulled at his shirt to make it look sloppy.
One of them grabbed his arm and wrapped it around her shoulder, pretending like he was holding her.
Another woman leaned in close to his face, smiling for the camera like they were having fun.
"Okay, start taking pictures," one of them said, her voice dull and tired.
The blonde held up the phone and started snapping photos. Flash after flash. Click, click, click.
Mike was still passed out on the floor, his face pressed against the dirty carpet. One of the women kicked his leg.
"Do we need him in the photos, too?"
The masked man at the door shook his head. "No. Just the CEO kid. Make it look as bad as possible."
The blonde kept taking pictures, posing with Adam like they were best friends or something worse.
The blind woman just stood there, her fists clenched.
"What if he wakes up?" she whispered.
The blonde scoffed. "He’s not waking up anytime soon. They drugged him good."
The blind woman’s heart sank. Drugged? And they were framing him, taking pictures that would ruin him. It was so unfair.
After thinking for a while, she comes up with an idea and says,
"I want to click pictures with him too."
"What? Weren’t you the one who was feeling pity for him before? No, suddenly you want to take a picture too?" The blonde asked with a smile.
"Um...I don’t want to be beaten later." The blind woman said.
Others women thought about it and nodded.
They led her to Adam and laid her beside him.
The moment she lay beside Adam, the blind woman hugged him. And tried to get her hand under his back, so that no one could see what she was doing.
The sound of clicking startled her slightly, but she continued her work.
Sure enough, Adam opened his eyes grogily.
Seeing the unfamiliar woman and the sound of clicking photos, followed by a sharp pain in his back, he fought against the sleepiness.
"Ugh... what’s going on?" he mumbled, his voice weak and groggy.
The blind woman tightened her grip around him and whispered so only he could hear, "Shh. Don’t say anything. Just act like you’re still asleep."
"What...?" Adam tried to move, but she squeezed his arm.
"Trust me. I’m trying to help you," she whispered. "They’re taking pictures to ruin you."
Adam’s eyes widened, but he kept his face still. He forced his body to stay limp, even though panic was starting to rise in his chest.
The clicking noises continued. The women were laughing and talking like it was all some twisted game.
The blind woman pressed something small and sharp into Adam’s hand. It felt like... a tiny piece of glass?
"Use it to keep yourself awake..." The blind woman said.
"Hey, what are you muttering in his ears? Do you think we can’t see your pathetic attempt to wake up? But if whispering in his ears could wake him up, then we all would have gone for good..."
Adam, on the other hand, crushed the glass in his hand to keep himself away, and then when he felt the woman’s gaze moving away, he opened his eyes and attacked them from behind.
With a swift motion, he knocked all the women out and grabbed the phone out of the blonde’s hand.
Before blacking out, the only thing the women knew was...they were doomed.
Adam deleted all the photos and cleared them from the cloud, too.
Then he surveyed his environment and found the blind woman on the bed.
She looked so small and scared. She was the one who had rescued him.
"Are you okay?" Adam asked, his voice rough.
The blind woman nodded shakily. "Yeah... I think so." Then, after a pause, she asked, "Can you do a favor for me?"
"Sure." Adam agreed.
"Can you call my father and inform him about my whereabouts?" The blind woman asked tentatively.
"Sure," Adam said and asked for his phone number.
Soon, someone picked up the call, followed by a trembling voice,
"Hello?"
"Hello, sir, I am Adam. Your daughter..." Adam paused and asked the young woman, "What is your name?"
"Luna," Luna replied.
"Your daughter Luna is here with me. Can you please come and fetch her? I have enabled the GPS of the phone and am sharing the live location. Please follow it and come here." Adam said.
"My daughter! I finally found her! Okay! Thank you so much, Mr. Adam! Once I reach there, I will definitely reward you!" The man on the other end said.
