Bro, I'm not an Undead!-Chapter 1507: Vali’s Vision for Victory (2)
The Imagining Technique took years to develop even among those of the EverSword bloodline. Years of isolation were required to master the ability to actualise thoughts, turning them from flimsy ideas into real objects.
Only when a practitioner of the technique was conditioned to this skill through isolation, could they truly wield the full potential of this power. The first thing they would develop was a conduit, an entity linked to their minds that would churn out their creations.
When it came to these creations, the user was limited only by their own overall strength, but with nuance; after all, there were two kinds of creations that could be made with the Imagining Technique.
The first were temporary manifestations, common and normal entities without any strange powers. The user could produce an unlimited number of these since they would dissolve into nothingness within a short span.
The second class of creations was what were known as Conjured Daydreams. They were permanent manifestations of unique power concocted by the user through intense visualisation. Of course, for a talented user of the Imagining Technique, it wouldn't take long to envision a powerful Conjured Daydream.
Rias EverSword had been in possession of three Conjured Daydreams during the Premium Age Royale: he'd revealed a unique arm that absorbed impacts and a sword that could devastate the interior of a Cluster with a slash and even copy concepts.
But Vali was determined to exceed this level of power.
…And she did.
Her conduit for the Imagining Technique before had been a lilac flame that always appeared modest and unimpressive, especially when compared to the deer head Rias called a conduit.
Now, for aesthetics' sake, Vali had forged a new one. It was an exaggeratedly muscular lion, whole and with a ferocious looking face. It was wreathed in the same lilac flame, its mane particularly outstanding as wild ribbons of fire. When it opened its maw wide, hundreds of rows of man-sized canines gladly advertised themselves, sinking into an abyss too deep to be the lion's gullet. Behind them, a nebulous darkness frothed with many colours, heat and violent noises akin to clamour of clashing swords.
Vali threw her darkened thumb into the lion's maw. She then pulled the corpse of a Cavern one of Illyinni's wolves had taken down before creating two more clones of herself. They grinned at her, grabbed the Cavern's limp body, and then jumped into the conduit's mouth as well.
The lion shut its mouth, and snorted out a fierce breath.
The experts, those that had exhausted their slashes at least, gawked at what Vali was doing. Illyinni and Shura did the same.
They couldn't help but wonder what this woman was cooking up.
What was even this technique she was using?
Everyone knew the Kinn Family technique, Cellular Supremacy, but what was this one?
'Is it her Genuine Incarnation?' Illyinni found herself wondering.
The giant Cavern which had taken to the sky, eyed its enemies malignantly and while gnashing its teeth, it sent an attack none of them could see barrelling down in a wide range.
A large city would have been flattened if this (the Under) were Feinheath.
The ground exploded, huge chunks of the hard crust flying up, and cruel shockwaves rolling out over dozens of kilometers.
The feminine Cavern was one of the Divines on Aigas that could use its Broader Existence for physical blows. Because a Broader Existence normally couldn't be detected by anyone except its user, the strike always came as a surprise, and it was almost always guaranteed to hit.
The only drawback was, it was a physical hit with no special properties. There was only so much a physical impact could do, even against mortals.
On the ground below the creature, all the lesser human experts had been caught and obliterated by its attack. It was a certainty. But strangely… their bodies could not be seen. Not even traces of their blood remained.
Was the attack just now so powerful that it left no remains at all? Perhaps.
But there were survivors, the feminine giant discovered.
Illyinni remained. She had fed herself to the wolf she had been riding before the attack had come, escaping to the separate dimension she created with her technique. It was keen intuition that saved her.
Shura was also safe. The anti-Cavern he had created knew all there was to know about the thought processes of the Cavern. Most of them weren't especially sophisticated, even when they became Divine. Its very nature allowed it to anticipate an attack coming from its older kin. It had warned Shura, and Shura had in turn warned Vali.
Shura needn't have done that, however. It was reasonable for him to panic, but he should have known, with her current level of Cellular Supremacy, Vali's healing capabilities exceeded even those granted by the Granted Restoration, a Starmation imbued into the armour of the Stark Troops and the Unlimited!
One extremely violent physical attack would not kill her or anyone she applied her technique to.
And thus, when the dust cleared, Vali remained, her conduit behind her. Shura was also alive, the clone behind him. With a thought, the clone revived his Anti-Cavern as well.
"And now…" the real Vali said to herself, smiling seductively.
The lilac lion behind her opened its maw again. Furious streams of mana poured out… as did two figures, both a bit taller than Vali herself. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
One was an exact copy of her, if only a few times more attractive – better hair lustre, better skin, better curves. She checked herself before lightly massaging her belly. A large golden mana core was brimming with power deep within her.
"Perfect," she said. "Not a snag."
The other figure was another Vali, but wildly differently from the original. She had dark skin with a stone-like texture and ruby-red eyes. She was a bit more muscular, but also lethally attractive. Her hair was carved into wild, sharp locks that reached her waist, and she was dressed like some dark knight, ready for battle in lustrous black armour.
"Perfect," she said, licking her teeth and tapping her temple with a finger. "My mind really is sharper now. No better combination than this, I suppose. Cavern and mental strength."
She could feel Cursed Mind's Eye brimming through her, along with the genetics of a Cavern. They were easily tempered, seamlessly melding into her own with her Imagining Technique.
Vali didn't bother looking at either of the clones. She had not been at all doubtful that they would come out exactly as she wanted.
She snapped her finger at the more human-looking one.
"I got, I got," the clone said and it locked its fingers together, donning a devious smile.
The mana within it churned fiercely, ready for use.
"Majestic Territory Expulsion…!" the clone cried.
But it wasn't Nitros that exploded out. This was a false Territory after all, a creation of genius that only one other human on Aigas had ever devised to combat a stronger enemy.
Perfect Aura exploded out in great volumes, changing its shape to form not an Incarnation, but a small world aligned with Vali's vision.
