BANG!

Arthur swiftly raised his hand to block a stick swinging toward him.

A flicker of pain crossed his face, but without hesitation, he clenched his fist and landed a solid punch squarely on the face of the assailant, sending him flying.

Seizing the stick, Arthur charged forward, each swing sending another thug crashing to the ground.

The scene around him was chaotic and bloody; dozens of gangsters who had once surrounded Arthur and his bodyguards were now sprawled out, groaning in pain.

Some bore bullet wounds on their legs and shoulders, none fatal, but all were incapacitated.

With disdain in his eyes, Arthur surveyed the aftermath. It had been just five minutes since the gangsters had attacked them.

Despite their numbers, he felt no fear; after all, his bodyguards were Royal Grade fighters, ten times stronger than ordinary people, and armed with registered firearms. The sheer number of thugs didn't faze them at all. frёeωebɳovel.com

In mere moments, every gangster lay defeated on the ground, bloodied but not critically injured.

Arthur casually slipped his hands into his pockets and strolled over to the gang's leader, who was now crumpled on the ground like a discarded rag doll, bullet holes marring both legs and a swollen face resembling that of a pig.

"Please don't kill me!" whimpered the leader in a hoarse voice as he looked up at Arthur towering over him.

"I'm not going to kill you," Arthur smirked down at him.

"Evolon! Call the police and send my second aunt that video you recorded of this whole mess; she'll know what to do," he instructed confidently.

"Done, sir!" came Evolon's prompt reply.

Nodding with satisfaction, Arthur perched himself on the hood of one of their vans while keeping an eye on the groaning gangsters littering the ground around him.

About ten minutes later, police sirens wailed in the distance as multiple patrol cars sped toward them.

A smile crept across Arthur's face upon seeing their arrival as he hopped off from the van's hood.

Within moments, dozens of police vehicles surrounded them; officers poured out with weapons drawn, scanning for threats.

"Freeze! Hands in the air!" one shouted.

"Drop your weapons!"

Arthur exchanged glances with his bodyguards; they immediately dropped their guns and raised their hands in surrender.

"Who called us?" asked a man dressed differently from other officers, a captain by rank, stepping forward with authority.

"I did," Arthur replied loudly.

The captain frowned as he assessed both Arthur's calm demeanor and the chaos surrounding them, the gangsters sprawled out like discarded toys.

"We were ambushed by these thugs," Arthur explained smoothly. "My bodyguards acted in self-defense to protect me; our weapons are registered."

He gestured towards nearby surveillance cameras capturing every moment for evidence if needed.

"Hello, I'm Captain Ress. Although you were defending yourself, you'll need to come with us to the station to make your statement and assist in the investigation," the policeman introduced himself, his expression serious.

"Don't worry about it, Officer! I'll gladly cooperate with your station," Arthur replied with a reassuring smile.

He felt a wave of relief wash over him; at least it wasn't Chief of Police Tom or that overly confident policewoman, talk about dodging a bullet!

A few minutes later, Arthur followed the officers to the station to record his statements and share his side of the story.

As for the gangsters involved, they had all been arrested but would first be taken to the hospital for their injuries before heading off to jail.

This wasn't their first run-in with the law, and the police had been eager for evidence to finally put them behind bars. With Arthur's testimony in hand, these criminals were essentially finished.

"Officer Ress, please keep me updated on any progress in your investigation," Arthur said as he turned towards Captain Ress.

"Don't worry, Mr. Arthur. I'll inform you of any developments," Captain Ress assured him with a nod.

"Good," Arthur replied as he hopped into his car and sped away with his bodyguards.

"Sir, just as you predicted, it's Christopher Campbell and other CEOs from Osborn Real Estate and Construction Group who instigated all this chaos," Evolon's voice chimed through his phone as soon as he settled into the driver's seat.

"I knew it!" Arthur smirked confidently.

"Should I pass this information along to the police?" Evolon asked.

"No," Arthur shook his head firmly. "It wouldn't matter; they'd be out in no time. Using the police against them is pointless."

"Then should we employ the same tactics we used against those 30 CEOs a few months back?" Evolon suggested cautiously.

Arthur fell silent at that thought. It was tempting but risky, earlier that morning he had threatened Christopher and his associates directly. If anything happened now, he would be their prime suspect.

Despite having instructed Evolon to erase any recordings related to that threat, he couldn't shake off concerns about Ophelia and Benedict being present during that confrontation, they could easily twist things against him if needed.

Plus, Christopher Campbell's family wielded immense power; taking action against them without adequate strength was unwise.

Shaking off those thoughts, Arthur declared decisively, "No, we can't resort to that."

He paused briefly before narrowing his eyes in determination. "What we can do is bankrupt them! Let's drive them out of business! Their main industry is real estate; we simply won't allow them any opportunities."

"How do you plan on doing that?" Evolon asked curiously.

Arthur didn't respond to Evolon; instead, he wore a sly smirk that hinted at his wicked intentions.

He had a master plan brewing, one that had been set in motion during his recent meeting with the Urban Development and Construction Bureau.

Arthur purchased a construction company package from the system mall!.

And hhis construction company package can complete any building project within just one year.

Whether it was highways, residential complexes, luxurious villas, or even intricate subway stations and railways, the construction company could handle it all in just one year.

And Arthur is to build a staggering 10,000 square kilometer commercial plaza right in the heart of the government's sprawling 1.08 million square kilometer development zone.

Not only that, but he was also responsible for establishing the transportation and road networks across this vast area.

Imagine the impact if Arthur could finish all these projects in just one year while other companies were still laying down foundations!

What would the world think? More importantly, what would the Urban Development and Construction Bureau have to say about it?

Just days ago, bidding took place for developing this colossal 1.08 million square kilometer zone.

Numerous real estate and construction companies participated, with many securing contracts, most notably giant firms and influential families who sought their share of the 10,000 square kilometers of land of the Osborn Real Estate and Construction Group's headquarters.

Naturally Christopher Campbell's family also snagged several bids.

Now picture this: if Arthur completes his projects at lightning speed while others lag behind in their groundwork, it's only natural that the government would take notice.

They might very well decide to hand over remaining projects exclusively to Osborn Real Estate and Construction Group!

This could lead to other companies facing dire consequences, many may even go out of business amid rising tensions as they watch Arthur's meteoric rise.

Sure, Arthur might ruffle some feathers along the way, but he wasn't worried! By then, his power would be far greater than it was now; he'd have enough clout to protect himself and his family from any backlash.

With such extraordinary construction speed under their belt, Osborn Real Estate and Construction Group would transition from an obscure little company into a nationally recognized powerhouse, and perhaps even a global contender!

As he envisioned all of this unfolding before him, excitement sparkled in Arthur's eyes.

A few minutes later, Arthur returned to the mansion, eager to escape the chaos of the day.

He quickly retreated to his room for a long, soothing bath, taking a moment to tend to the minor injuries he had sustained during his encounters with those ruthless gangsters.

Despite having used the Gene Evolution Liquid from his system rewards and adding over 15 Attribute Points, boosting his physical strength to more than double that of an average person, this was still Arthur's first real taste of combat.

He had picked up some combat skills from Silvester, but facing off against brutal gangsters was a whole new ball game.

Sure, he'd taken a few hits here and there, but thankfully they were just normal bruises, not too serious.

Just then, a notification pinged on his phone.

Curiosity piqued, he glanced at it and couldn't help but smile broadly.

"Evolon, turn on the television," he commanded.

Instantly, the TV mounted on the opposite wall sprang to life, illuminating the room with its glow.

The screen displayed a news broadcast that caught Arthur's attention immediately.

"Good evening folks! Welcome to OCN Osborn Central News! At exactly 6:30 PM today, a brutal fight erupted in downtown Axis District involving around one hundred gang members and eleven men."

A stunning news anchor appeared on screen in her professional suit, her expression serious as she delivered the shocking report.
