I watched as flames licked at Blaze’s skin, but it wasn’t hurting him. It almost felt like he was a part of the flames, like they respected him enough to not dare scald his skin. The fire didn’t hurt me as well which I believed is also because of him. As he morphed into his human form, I held my breath and stared on with nervousness.
When his human form stood before me after a few moments, it felt like I died and woke up.
In the past six months, I has imagined this happening, in my dreams, I had imagined how it was gonna go down between us when we’d meet again, but I never imagines that it would go down like this.
A sob caught in my throat the more I kept staring at him. He was just like i remembered. Throughout the past six months, all I had with me was pictures and the memories in my head. But even that got tiring at a point because they were never enough.
His hair was long tight now but also pitch black. His eyes were still the same, just darker than it used to be. His lips twitched just as he opened his arms and I throw myself agsinst him, holding him tightly as I tried not to burst into tears. His arms were firm and string around me. His skin felt soft and hot against my skin and I clutched him tightly while so much emotions ran through my veins.
I had almost feared I might never get to experience this again, and I was happy that I was currently in his arms right now. He kissed over my shoulder and exposed throat, a growl easing out of his lips and I found myself trembling and against him.
"I can’t believe you’re here right now." He whispered against my skin, perfectly mirroring my thoughts and I tried pressing harder against him as a small sound bubbling in my throat.
We were still in each other’s arms when the air suddenly moved around us, crackling with magic while the sky hot filled with different bolts of lightening in the next moment.
My eyes widened as I glanced around and Blaze’s arms instantly tightened around me in a possessive way. I had missed that tremendously. Way more than I could ever imagined. I never could have imagined that I’d one day miss the way he was so protective over me. In the months of his absence, whenever I was in a dangerous situation, I had to take care of myself because I knew my mate wasn’t present to act all possessive and protective over me.
Our eyes were glued on the sky which kept crackling right in front of us. If I didn’t know a thing about magic, I’d hand assumed it was about to rain. But I knew that was the last thing that was about to happen right now, from my past experiences.
The sky crackled once again and then it brightened, more and more till the point that we had to shield our eyes.
After a fleeting moment, a bright light appeared in the sky, connecting with the middle of the garden, like a bright spotlight.
Blaze and I exchanged curious looks before we began to silently head for the middle of the garden, past a bunch of trees. When we arrived at the middle of the garden, a woman was standing in the middle of the light with connected with the sky.
I blinked in confusion and as I stared harder, I realized that her body was almost see through.
"Come closer." She spoke softly and beaconed towards us. I swallowed emptily, staring at a dazzling smile and her ethereal beauty.
Blaze’s hold tightened around me and that made her chuckle.
"No need to get possessive, child. I’m only here to give you two a message." She cooed on a small laugh and my brows furrowed in confusion.
"I’m the goddess of light." She revealed after a few moments and my eyes widened, mouth falling open.
As I blinked slowly, all of this suddenly made sense, the way she was currently glowing and floating on the ground. She’s the famous goddess of the light!
"H- how..." I whispered, mind reeling in shock as Blaze’s hold around me slowly loosened.
As I walked forward, I was reeling in immense shock because gods and goddesses couldn’t appear in front of living things.
It was like she read my mind when she spoke next.
"I chose to appear to you two because you managed to change the course of destiny three good times."
My eyes widened and my eyes darted towards Blaze who was as shocked as I am.
"We did?" I whispered, eyes widened and she hummed as I finally paused right away from the light. She beaconed towards Blaze who stepped forward as well to stand beside me.
"When you were born, your destiny was already created. The god of darkness created you to bring forth chaos to the earth." She began, eyes focused on Blaze.
"But then your life here on earth was so horrible, and I figured you had more potential... which was why Labyrinth was sent to earth a year later, and that was the moment your destinies got forged together." She paused for a moment and I realized that I was holding my breath.
"Despite being worlds apart, you were destined to meet each other and be with each other. You’re soulmates with intertwined destinies... and you were supposed to die while trying to save each other, like it had happened with other fated soulmates centuries ago. But then you’d both rather die in the place of each othe." She looked between us before continuing.
"But you ended up turning destiny around for the first time. You saved each other and you’ve proven that love is strong enough to turn around any situation. And that made you two worthy of being in my presence."
Blaze and I exchanged looks again.
"I’m not just here to tell you all this, I’m here to bless your union and pass on another important prophecy which would be of your next generation."
