Chapter 293: Reunion

Jules’ pov

I clung to Blaze like a koala, my legs wrapped around his waist and my hands loosely mapping across his face. I still found it hard to believe that I was actually touching him right now, and by the looks of things, he was still in a state of shock as well.

I didn’t have to tightly hold onto him right now, because he was holding me against himself firmly while he flew in the air.

After we fucked and got to sleep a little, we took another bath in the lake, and we could barely stay separated from each other for a single second. After that, I materialized clothes on our bodies and I thoroughly enjoyed the look of awe on his face after I did that; then I assured him that there were a lot of things I was now capable of, which he wasn’t aware of yet. He had then tugged me against him and kissed me hard before telling me he couldn’t wait to catch up on everything that he had missed.

My eyes drifted over to his wings flapping powerfully behind himself and a feeling of admiration went through me. Right now, I felt safe and secure, and extremely protected. For the past six months, whenever we flew in the air, I always had to use my magic, which meant I always had to be alert while navigating the air.

But right now. I didn’t have to bother about any of that because Blaze was in control and would rather kill himself before he let me fall.

"Mine." He whispered against my ear through the rush of the air filling my ears right now and I felt a grin tug at my lips as I tightened my hold around his shoulders even more, feeling like the luckiest person ever.

When Blaze got to the entrance of the mountain, he swooped down and I felt my breath stumble a little till Blaze slowed down and carefully landed on the ground. He still had his hands around me and didn’t seem like he was ready to set me down anytime soon, instead, he somehow made his fire ringed wings to disappear into thin air in the next moment and once again, that feeling of awe resurfaced in my mind.

"I’m so happy you’re here with me right now. I had feared that I wouldn’t be successful when I decided to come get you but that still didn’t stop me from coming." I revealed and I watched as a crease appeared across his forehead, as his grip tightened around my waist.

"Even though you knew you might end up getting killed by me?" He asked quietly and I nodded once.

"Getting killed by you would have been worth it. At least I wouldn’t have to keep suffering in this life. It was really hard to live through each day without you," I admitted quietly and he let out a ragged breath before burying his face in the column of my shoulder the next moment.

"Just know that I’ll always be with you on moving forward no matter what. Nothing would ever separate us ever again." He whispered fiercely and I knew he meant every word.

His face lifted from my shoulder and he proceeded to give me a toe curling kiss.

A gasp made me stiffen and I tore my lips away from the kiss. My cheeks were already getting heated as I glanced sideways where the sound came from and my eyes landed on Kim who appeared star struck. Beside him, Roy had his mouth wide open and his eyes were filled with stark shock.

"Blaze? It’s- it’s really you?" Roy asked carefully after a few moments, his voice wavering a little and filled with so much emotion. I stared at him and back at Blaze whose face mirrored the exact one on Roy’s face. I still didn’t know the full depth of how he and Roy came about but I knew Roy was loyal to Blaze to a fault and it goes both ways. I knew Blaze doesn’t play when it comes to Roy and he never lets anyone speak down on Roy no matter who the person is.

I wiggled a little, a clear indication for Blaze to drop me down and he slowly did, eyes still locked with Roy’s which was slowly filling up with tears.

Roy was airway coming forward but Blaze met him in the middle, and then they shared a bone crushing hug. Blaze held him tightly and Roy cried quietly. Blaze didn’t cry but his eyes were shining more than usual. As I stared at the two of them, I felt a small pang of softness just as Kim came to stand beside me, eyes wide with shock.

"You really succeeded!" He gushed and I beamed, feeling proud and extremely happy.

"I did." I whispered just as he tugged me into a really tight hug, one which I eagerly returned. Kim had been a firm pillar to me in the last six months and I’d always be grateful to him for that.

"We saw when he flew past us with you in his arms, but we weren’t fully sure, you know? We set up a camp and spent the night here while waiting for you in case you made it, like we were all hoping." He revealed and I squeezed his shoulders once we broke the hug.

Before he could say anything else, Blaze was tugging him into a loose hug and I watched as he squeaked, eyes panicked. He never got to stop being afraid of Blaze before Blaze disappeared so his reaction was very valid, but still hilarious. He remained stiff till Blaze dropped his hand after ruffling his hair.

"Where’s Raine?" Blaze asked just as a flapping sound pulled all our gazes into the air, and there was Raina, flying towards us. Kim explained that she went to stall her uncle because she heard he had suddenly moved his planned attack on this mountain forward on discovering that raine and some people were up here.

When she landed, she launched herself into Blaze’s arms and Blaze let out a breathy laugh while she ruffled his hair up.

"Welcome back, baby brother."
