Chapter 301: The Fight

Blaze’s pov

"You really think I have time for kids? Just get lost, kid." My uncle jabbed at me, cracking once again and this time, his guards instantly joined in.

"If you ask me, I’d say you’re scared, which is actually normal and expected because I’m certain you’ve heard of my past escapes. Heck, you and my father even worked together and I’m certain you helped him in killing my mother in order to steal her throne." I spoke calmly, but I was burning up with anger on the inside. I watched as a frown slowly stretched across my uncle’s face before he leaned forward.

"Stop saying nonsense, kid." He snapped but I only snorted.

"Oh you know I’m right. He was working with you, that’s why he knew to threaten me with my sister at one point. I’m certain you know who’s responsible for my father’s death... so the fact that you’re clearly scared right now is very normal, no need to be embarrassed, hm?"

My uncle slammed his hands down and flew to his feet, appearing extremely enraged. Beside him, his guards instantly tensed up.

"Shut the hell up, psycho." He gritted out and I let out an amused laugh. I was already getting under his skin, good.

"The reason you’ve also still not gotten rid of my sister is because you know she’s the one the people of this clan love. She’s the one they still see as their ruler. You might rule the kingdom with an iron fist but they only fear you, never love, the one they love is my sister and you should should anything happen to her, the whole kingdom would undoubtedly bring you down. That’s why even though you are aware that she was the one who got to know that I was at the mountain because of the attack you were planning, you still didn’t kill her as punishment. Why? It wasn’t because you were scared, it’s because you just can’t."

He let out a loud roar as he began to climb down the long stairs leading up to the throne and I chanted a string of ’yes’ within me.

Come to me!

The guards all hurriedly rushed forward, making to carry him down the rest of the stairs like they clearly usually do, but he shoved them aside and climbed the rest of the stairs till he was on the same level as myself.

An expanse of space was between us, and even though it seemed like we were the same height, he still dwarfed me In muscles. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

"Since you so badly want a fight, that’s exactly what you’re gonna get!" He called out, voice cracking with anger.

I got into positions, fleeing my hands. I didn’t have any weapons because I was better at fighting with my fists.

I watched as my uncle suddenly held his hands out, and in the next moment, a burst of flame erupted from his chest to instantly engulf every Inch of his body. When the fire disappeared, he had grown a foot taller and his mass of muscles had grown even bigger. The horns on his head was very large and dangerous looking. As I stared at him right now, I realized that my sister hadn’t been exaggerating when she told me that our uncle’s true form was very large and extremely powerful.

As if his true form wasn’t enough, two of the guards stepped forward and handed him large looking lethal swords.

Damn. He looked extremely menacing right now, and compared to him, I looked like an insect.

He stood with his feet apart and pointed a sword at me, head cocked sideways.

"Come at me, little kid."

I scoffed, feeling infuriated. This man was cocky as hell and he believed he was all that simply because of his size.

As I flexed my hands, I felt a little ridiculous.

I knew I was also supposed to shift into my true form right now, for a fairer fight between the two of us at last, but I wasn’t sure I wanted to shift. After I got my sanity back, shifting back into that form felt scary and trauma riding. The fact that I might forget that my mate was still alive should I do that was always lingering at the back of my mind whenever I think about my true form.

When I prepared to come fight this uncle of mine, I planned to do that in my human form, because I was pretty strong in my human form, so I believed all would be well. But now that I was faced with this hulk, I was starting to wonder if I hadn’t made a mistake.

My uncle threw his head back and asked me why I wasn’t attacking and I urged him to attack me first, and that it wasn’t like he was gonna get a hit in any way. That seem to have done it because he charged at me in the next moment, sword cutting through the air with a screeching sound.

I instantly ducked from a sword’s countless attacks, rolling to the left, then the right, and then I fully back flipped from that spot completely when he began to bring the sword down at the same time.

I was breathing hard and my heart was beating erratically.

Everything within me was tense as I began to dodge more swords’ attacks. At a point, the smooth side of the wire slapped into my side and I got thrown against a wall really hard. Before I could catch my breath, I had to roll out of that spot which got stabbed by a sword in the next second.

After getting just a second to catch my breath, I began to run towards my uncle, trying to get close to him so I could inflict some damage on him instead of just dodging his attacks.

After so many hits, I finally got close enough and I delivered a very hard punch to him. However, he only guffawed before kicking my stomach and sending me flying into a wall.

As a wave of pain shot through me, I realized one thing. He was basically untouchable.
