Claimed By A Dragon Prince-Chapter 63: Prison Break
Chapter 63: Prison Break
Back in the Dragon Castle down in the dungeons a lonely dragon was stuck in a jail cell waiting for his punishment. He’s been down there for two almost three weeks waiting for his brother to finish him off. But instead he has been rotting in the corner with only his mother to visit him every once in a while.
"That b*tch didn’t even have the courtesy to finish the job. Now I am stuck here and no one can get me out!" At that moment a loud boom resonated through dungeons as the dust spread from the explosion. A group of masked figures filed in one coming up to his cell taking a deep breath then spitting fire on the lock. It melted the metal as the door swung and another one of the figures steps forward.
He pulls off his mask revealing the Wolf King surprising the young prince. "What are you doing here?! Its your fault I even ended up here. You told me I was getting Alisa!" The Wolf King laughed walking up to him then kneeling down to his level. "You had a crew kidnap her and bring her to you. Where are they?" The young dragon prince didn’t answer only staring this big bad wolf down.
"Well, if you don’t tell me I can just have you killed now or leave you hear to explain the mess and be on my way. Though from what I gather that wouldn’t be a good option for you either." The young prince didn’t want to stay in that dungeon one more minute, but being controlled by the Wolf King isn’t much better then the cell. "I need two things before I tell you."
"I’m all ears." The young prince made his requests one was a bit outrageous, but the other was simple enough. "Anything else?" The Wolf King didn’t want this prince to make anymore demands then he had. The Wolf King wanted to be sure he was getting the information he needs. "We’ll get to that when you get me out of here."
The Wolf King needed that crew and only a hand full of people associated with them and could hire them for jobs. This prince was always a snobbish sort, but now he was showing his mother’s attitude in a time of crisis. "Cross me and I’ll take your heart out of your chest myself."
The young dragon prince had never seen the Wolf King act this way before, but he would do what was needed to get out of this place. His mother was no help and his father could care less about what happens to him. The only one looking out for him was himself. "Let’s go."
Not wanting to waste anymore time the group heads back the way they came having went through an old tunnel system to get to the dungeons. The prince knows the way since he had used this path a few times to smuggles people and bodies in and out of the castle. IF his father only knew the things he did. frёewebηovel.cѳm
Making it to the exit that is just outside the castle they wait for the guards to pass before heading west back to Wolf Territory. Stopping just before the border the Wolf King turns to the dragon prince pinning him to the tree closet to him. "Now where do I find that crew?"
From the shadows another group of figures emerges as the Prince smirks knowing who they are. "I know you have been looking for us. My question is why are you hell bent on killing that prince?" The Wolf King dropped the prince turning to face the man speaking. "I have a job for you and it pays well. Interest?"
The man looked the king up and down then back at the prince on the ground holding his throat gasping for air. He could tell this wasn’t a man to cross, but he was intrigued by how much trouble he went to, to find them. "Depends what are we hunting?"
"You already caught her once and now I need you to kidnap her again. And she has the second prince with her so I’ll be paying double." The man considered these terms wondering why everyone was so desperate for this women. "Do you even know our fee?"
One of the other men on the kings side pulled out a big bag and a wrapped package walking over to him to hand them over. He opened the bag seeing it full of gold coins and peeled back the corner of the package seeing it was a book, but he knew the bindings. It was an old text he had been searching for. "You’ll get the other half when you drop her off to me back in Wolf Territory. Try to be quick about it."
"What makes you think we’ll get her this time? She was with the dragon queen last time we grabbed her." The Wolf King hears this knowing there were only a few opportunities to try and snatch her out from under the second prince’s nose. "She’s traveling with him to the forbidden territory. It shouldn’t be too hard." The Wolf King waved them off leaving the dragon prince sitting on the ground with the group of mercenaries he just hired.
The prince looked up at the man who reached out his hand to help him off the ground. "Jack, What took you so long? I was down in that dungeon for weeks!" The man that helped him up got right in his face staring him dead in the eyes. "You should have learned not to f*ck with royalty of any Clan. Now we have to go and get a princess we already stole once. and its Captain Jack to you, prick."
His crew laughed at the prince about to leave when the prince held on to captain Jack’s arm. "Wait! You can’t leave me here! I’m a wanted man! You should have left me there if you weren’t going to help me!" Captain Jack shook his arm free snatching up the prince’s throat himself holding him in the air. The prince’s feet dangled as he tried to get out of Captain Jack’s grip. "Your forgetting who your talking to, little prince. I work for your mother not you and need I remind you of the secrets we keep from her about you?"
The prince stopped struggling knowing what his mother would do if she ever found out about his misdeeds. Captain Jack drops him as he gasps for air rubbing his throat. "Stay out of our way and go to your mother’s family. That’s your only option. The castle guards will be sounding an alarm any minute now so I would get moving, if I were you."
The prince scrambles to his feet running the wrong way as one of the crew grabs him pointing him in the right direction. "Wait! What about that princess? Are you really going after her?" Captain Jack smirks knowing why he prince is asking. "You have no skills I can use, kid. Go hide its all you can now. I’ll get word to your mother that your safe. Go now."
The prince continued to run towards his mother’s family estate waiting to shift when he got past the ring of mountains around the castle and city. He wanted to see the princess suffer and Captain Jack you make sure she did. *I will finish what she started.*
Captain Jack watched as the prince ran back to his mother’s family tail between his legs. It was shocking that such a whelp came from such a powerful woman. He turns back to his crew once the little dragon disappeared into the treeline. "Your heard him we have a job to do. Let’s head out."
"But boss I thought you hated working for royalty. Why take this job?" One of his crew asked curious about what his boss had in mind. "That wasn’t just some one who’s royalty boys. That’s something far more powerful and if you don’t do as they ask it could mean worse for us. Let’s just get this job done so we can get back to our next job, eh?"
The group shouted in agreement heading back to their air ship. That was how they could disappear with out a trace. The dragons had the right idea, but they shouldn’t be the only ones with access to the skies. Thankfully Captain Jack was reasonable when needed and offered someone with the mind to build a flying machine.
Thinking back on that princess they kidnapped she was a looker and seemed different too. Oh well this would be a good payday if they played their cards right. "When we are done with this we will get back to that job. For the money offered this one couldn’t be denied. Now let’ go catch us a princess!"
His crew roars in agreement as he barks out orders the crew gets their ship air born and heading west to the forbidden lands.
