Claimed By A Dragon Prince-Chapter 75: Making Hard Choices
Chapter 75: Making Hard Choices
Lily knew Dimitri was looking out for her safety, but she also knew something else was going on with those darkling dragons. They didn’t attack the second they saw her and Dimitri. They just watched, then started whining at them almost in pain or agony. It was still distressing to remember as she tried to distract herself making small camp.
Since she didn’t have Dimitri she set her usual protection circle and barrier stones within the circle so no intruders could enter. Her father had taught her about these stones in her first week at the Academy. They saved her life more then once so when ever she was out in the wild she always used them.
After setting the stones she went about grabbing fire wood so she could cook a meal for herself. She realized she had all the food ans while Dimitri didn’t have to eat every day he had traveled a lot and would need to nourishment. So she went about cooking for two knowing he was close by. She could feel him not to far away, but didn’t reach further knowing she wanted time to herself.
She wasn’t like most females common or noble. Lily had to take care of herself all her life because no one was really looking out for her best interest. She knew if she didn’t pay attention and keep a sharp watch she would be beaten or killed depending on the opponent. Chopping the meat she had and using a long skewer to stick the meat on she set a pot of water on some coals to bowl rice.
Even when she was mad at him she felt the need to take care of him. She never felt that way towards anyone before, especially with the short amount of time they’ve spent together. It didn’t take long for the water to bowl as she poured the right amount of right in the placed the lid to cook the rice. Pulling out her seasonings she sprinkled some on her meat and veggie skewers then stuck one end in the ground angled over the fire to cook.
She was still knew to this whole relationship thing and felt like she was falling behind. Dimitri didn’t seem like the type to hold a grudge, but he wasn’t one to back down from his beliefs either. And with his demeanor and royal protocol engraved into him there wasn’t much she could change about the way he saw things.
Maybe with time he’ll see why she follows her instincts without worrying about her safety. Her gifts gave her an advantage most didn’t have and Lily learned to hone those skills to survive. The rice smelt done and the meat was at a medium rare level so she waited a bit longer gathering a bowls, plates, and chop sticks to serve the food. In the time it took to gather everything the meat cooked to a medium-well cook level just where she knew he liked his meat cooked.
Serving out the portions she made sure to give him some extra veggies and meat on his skewer along with a big helping of rice. As she got up he stood at the edge of her barrier waiting for her to approach him. Not wanting to fight with him she set a pulse to the barrier to allow him to enter.
Dimitri seen the ripple in the barrier, but remained where he was silently conveying that she needed to make this right. Lily took a deep breath walking over with the food in hand. She knew she had somethings to work through with herself worth and trust issues, but with the leap of faith she has already taken Lily felt he should be just as willing to take the same risk.
Walking up to him she knew this is what need to come out of her mouth. She stood just on her other side of her barrier right in front of him. Lily could tell he was tired and tried to hide it, but she knew his face having watched his ever expression closely so she knew his intent with just a look. Body language is the unspoken language of the world and if you could read that words were just a bonus to the truth.
"I know why you did what you did, but a little faith and trust in your partner should also be considered. I am still working on my communication skills with another person. I lived a life of lies a deception for so long that pulling myself out of it is more then I expected. Please give me time to teach myself and work on self esteem issues." Dimitri looked down at her as she looked down at the ground after those last words she spoke. He could tell that took her a lot and she even made food when it wasn’t in her nature or personality to give in to just anyone.
Stepping through her barrier, Dimitri took the food she offered, tipping her head up seeing the tears that threaten to fall. "We both need to learn and this is still knew to both of us. Old habits die hard, but that doesn’t mean they stay around forever. Let’s promise no matter the situation we always communicate our intentions, either through our bond or out loud. Honesty is the best policy and we just need more practice doing that."
Lily stepped into him wrapping her arms around his middle needing to feel him close. "Okay." Pulling back she looks up at him, the kindness she saw the first time in his eyes had her heart melting for him all over again. "Come on, lets eat while the foods hot." He nodded following her over to the fire where her plate was sitting on a small fold out tray.
She turned the tray so he could share half the area with him. Giving that sideways smile Dimitri set his food down sitting across from her. The food looked wonderful as she began to eat the smells filling the air once the food was bitten into. Digging in his stomach told him, he was in need for food as well. She cooked everything perfectly the meat was easy to bite into and the veggies still had a slight crunch to them.
He was always amazed at how well she did a task. If he had to guess from the lack of food she had most of her life she never wanted to waste a meal. Watching her eat she never dropped any of her food and at this moment didn’t seem as though she was hiding or hoarding her food. She was relaxed eating each piece of food off the skewer one at a time. It was almost erotic to see her enjoy each piece licking the juices off her fingers. freewebnσvel.cøm
Moving his eyes back to his plate to try and distract himself from the sight in front of him helped a bit, but he could still hear her as well. *Fuck this woman will be the death of me.* He tried to think of anything else other then her mouth and what it was doing, but he found himself stealing a peak at just the wrong moment.
Either her lips were wrapped around a piece of meat or licking one of her fingers clean. Napkins were not something she carried or cared about having as his mind wondered what else her mouth could clean like that. "I can smell you all the way over here. If you were wanting attention from me all you had to do was say something."
He looked up seeing her plate clean as she licked the juices from the meat and veggies off her hands. Her tongue running along her wrist up to her finger tips. His cock jumped in his robes knowing just what that felt like. She was looking at him just like the food she just finished eating.
The rumble that left his chest from her words told her he was thinking the same as she was. Lily rolled to her knees close to her pack ass out for him to see as she grabbed a bottle of water from her pack to rinse her hands with. The rumble turned into a growl as she leaned back on her knees half turning to face him. The look of hunger in his eyes said he enjoyed to view she gave him.
"Can you help me, please?" The sweet like way she said please compelled him to set his dished down and come over to help her. The closer he got the more he wanted to push her to the ground and eat her sweet little pussy clean too. He had to control himself as he took the bottle from her popping the top and letting a little out at a time. She washed her face and hands some of the water running down her neck and chest disappearing into her top.
"You know I’m not done with you right?" Her eyes shot up seeing just how much trouble she was for that little show.
