Claimed By A Dragon Prince-Chapter 85: Heated Healing Session
Chapter 85: Heated Healing Session
Lily shot up out of bed after waking from a dead sleep. Looking around she didn’t not recognize the room she was in, but the sent told her it belong to the Shadow Twin. A fire was light in the fireplace and the noise she heard before was something come the ceiling. There was an air shaft in the corner and dirt was falling from it. Thinking it might be more slugs Lily was about to summon her swords when black dust and flame started coming from the shaft.
Than just as she was about to strike the hole Sasha came tumbling down coughing and sputtering. She gave a happy chirp walking over to Lily nuzzling her shoulder. "Hey! How did you get here? Where’s Dimitri?" Sasha only looked at her curiously chirping again then stepped back as if waiting for Lily to do something. "I have to help these people Sasha. I made this mess it’s only right I clean it up too."
Sasha squawked louder this time almost mad. "What? You thought you were rescuing me? Sorry to burst your bubble, fire bird, but I’m not done here yet. So either stay and help or go find Dimitri and tell him I’m okay." The Bird tilted her head to one side lost about her meaning. Just then the door started to open and the Shadow Twin came in. "What is this?"
"She’s my Fire Drake. Honestly I didn’t know she would go this far to find me. Did it faster then Dimitri too, which is odd." The Shadow Twin walked around the bird cautiously so not to spook the flaming animal. "You tamed her?" The question seemed odd since you cant actually tame a fire drake.
"I respect her and in some ways she has shown she respects me. That’s what we have." Shadow Twin sat in one of the chairs next to the fireplace as the fire drake sat across from him, next to Lily. "Hmmm, do animals always react this way to you?" Lily gave him a strange look like he had lost his mind. "Some have, yes, others not so much. I’m not exactly what they would expect either, but I don’t force a bond or connection. If we connect great, if not then they go on their way or attack me which is rare."
"So why fight for an animal that would attack you?" Lily looked up at him from petting Sasha. "Instinct is what drives most creatures. Fear, survival, connection that all comes from a leap of faith one of the parties involved gives. How it ends depends on the other party and what their instincts tell them. We listen even when we don’t want to creatures innately listen because that is how we are. So if your asking why fight, its because we don’t know what will happen until we try. You seem to have figured that out too."
The Shadow Twin listened to her logic, understanding it and why she did the things she does. Looking up at her, Lily was watching him waiting to see what his reply would be. Its not easy to see the world the way she did, but it also meant everyone had a choice to make and it was entirely up to that person or creature. He had never met anyone like her before and could see why his brother was so drawn to her.
"Somewhat. But I have my own faults that still need work." Lily smiled looking back at Sasha would walked over to the fire place laying in the hearth directly next to the fire. She laid her head down going to sleep. "Instead of a watch dog they give me a fire bird. Still wrapping my head around that one. Oh on more thing and I’m always terrible about timing with this one, but what do your people call you or do you have name you prefer?"
Lily knew that only special people or creatures received gifts like Sasha, but other then her parents being gods she didn’t think there was much else to be considered. Also call him shadow twin in her head all the time seemed wrong.
"My people call me Dragon Master, but a few Elders have called me Dran. Either of those would be alright." She was surprised he actually told her. It sounded like his name wasn’t used much, but she was his sister in law and even if Dimitri had his thoughts and motives towards Dran she didn’t.
"Then I will call you Dran and you can call me Lily or Sister. Your choice. You seemed in a hurry when you came in, is everything alright?" Dran looked worried but wouldn’t speak. "It’s okay, you can tell me and I will help you as best I can." He looked up at her concern all over his face. "When the toxic slugs came they ate through all our food supply and now we are living off of emergency rations that will only last for a winter maybe in to spring. We need more food."
Lily was heartbroken that she had caused all this strife for these people. She knew she had to make it right. "Hand me my pack, please." Dran looked at the table next to him grabbing the pack she came with. Lily pulled the bottle of pills out that she used before. Dran reached to take them when she moved her hands faster. "I know better this time. Just trust me okay." He dropped his hands sitting there waiting for her to do what ever she was going to do with those pills.
Popping the top she only took one this time as he body could only take so many of the pills at a time period. Dran watched as she put the bottle away and went to get up, but her legs wouldn’t hold her up. "Take me to the pool please. Water helps the healing process for me." Dran picked her up holding her close to his chest as he made his way to the pool just off the side of his room.
he set her down first taking his shirt off, then moving to her to help her take her dress off. She still had the slip on as he stepped into the pool with her in his arms. Her body started to jerk as they floated in the center of the pool. "You don’t have to stay for this." Lily knew it wasn’t a pretty sight watching how she rapidly heals herself. "But you shouldn’t be alone doing this. I will stay."
Lily hadn’t had someone stay with her this way before, wanting to make sure she was okay not just doing her job. "Okay." She whispered to him holding on to him as the energy stone cracked releasing her stored energy into her body causing a rapid healing effect to happen, restoring her energy level and feeding her body raw power to rejuvenate her enough to complete this next task.
The whole time Dran held her close seeing the pain and ecstasy she endured through the whole process, finding parts of himself awaking in ways that’s never happened before. When she moaned into his neck trying to silence herself on his skin it took everything he had not to pin her down. She bit his shoulder there towards the end of her healing, making him stifle a moan he didn’t know he had to hide. Her touch had him thinking things he never thought for himself before.
She was sweating and panting by the end of it looking far to tempting for him in that moment. Lily was leaning into his arm as she reached up touching his cheek seeing some of the black recede away giving her a better view of half his face. He reached for her hand holding it to his cheek, as he turned in kissing her palm. "Can you help with our food shortage?"
He looked at her with hungry eyes and knew she needed to be careful with her next words. Sitting up she was an inch from his face having a hard time controlling herself. "Yes, I’ve got an idea about that." She went to stand up stumbling at first, but Dran grabbed her him and thigh to steady her which only made her want to lean into him more.
*Pull it together, woman.* Strapping the pack to her hip again she needed to see their most fertile land either above or underground. "I can grow the food, but I need good farm land to do it on, otherwise I will end up draining the ground of all its nutrients." Dran stood seeing her put the clothes she came in on, then her boots. Re-adjusting the pack she waited for him to lead the way.
They both stepped to the door as Dran opened it letting Lily go first. "This better not be some trick." She laughed considering all the things he’s seen her do in the last 24 hrs. "Trick are for kids, And I have better things to do than child’s play. Let’s go." She gestured for him to lead they way. *Cocky b*tch.* *Stubborn Ass.*
