Chapter 1005 -1005: A Beautiful Marriage

Xenia Jaak suddenly looked up, her eyes filled with the sadness of being betrayed by a friend. Before she could explain herself, Xaviera Evans scolded Yigol Mamet: “Nonsense! Would Xenia come to the Blue Dream Pavilion to find a bunch of women to drink with? Don’t try to blame others for your own mistakes!”

Yigol had a hard time explaining himself. It was Xenia who had suspected that he did not like women and forcibly brought him to the Blue Dream Pavilion to test whether or not he truly liked women.

After half an hour of harsh interrogation, Xaviera finally understood the situation and smiled slightly, “Yigol, I heard that you have failed over a hundred blind dates arranged by someone. Who arranged these dates for you?”

Yigol answered truthfully: “My father, Will Mamet! Although I’m not his biological son, he has treated me quite well these years. Since he arranged the blind dates, I couldn’t refuse.”

Xaviera knew that Yigol was grateful. Over the years, Will Mamet had treated him like a son and spoiled him. That’s why Yigol appreciated the kindness and would not refuse Will’s instructions, as long as they didn’t violate morals or laws.

Xaviera glanced at Xenia and said with a meaningful smile, “Your blind date failures are not entirely your fault; it’s just that you haven’t met the right person. If you were to go on a blind date with Xenia, do you think you could still fail?”

At her words, Yigol was suddenly stunned.

Xaviera looked at the two with a teasing smile. If these two could be together, it would be a beautiful match indeed.

After a moment of silence, Yigol asked with uncertainty, “The Jaak family is a prestigious family. Would they marry their daughter to someone like me?”

Xaviera’s expression instantly stiffened, her lips twitched slightly. This was indeed a problem. Xenia was the only daughter of the Jaak family, the apple of their eye. It seemed impossible for them to marry her to a playboy who only knew how to eat, drink, and be merry.

Xaviera was in a hurry to go to the Medical Association. She told Yigol to leave with her in half an hour, while at that same time, the Blue Dream Pavilion would be holding an auction. Xenia was curious, so Xaviera instructed her subordinates to take them to broaden their horizons and avoid getting into trouble.

After parting with Yigol, Xaviera walked alone into an empty corner with a mysterious figure following closely behind her.

Housekeeper Bronte’s eyes were fierce. When he thought of the huge sum he would have to reimburse, his heart was filled with resentment. The Hughes family was actually making him the scapegoat! What was even more hateful was Xaviera’s actions. What was so valuable about some old photos and design drawings left behind by a dead person?

Due to Xaviera’s actions, he would not only need to repay a massive sum, but he would also now face imprisonment. No one would dare hire him in the future, and his life would be ruined. It was all Xaviera’s fault!

Sir Hughes was right; the only way for him to have a way out would be if Xaviera no longer pursued the matter.

Housekeeper Bronte took out a handkerchief from his pocket, sprinkled it with a drug, and closely followed Xaviera into the deserted corridor.

Xaviera glanced back and sneered silently, her steps unaffected. She could smell the drug on the man and was struck with a familiar scent of ointment.

So it was Housekeeper Bronte! He was being used and didn’t even realize it, even going to the Blue Dream Pavilion to commit a crime. How foolish!

Xaviera arrived at the end of the corridor where all the nearby surveillance cameras were broken and the private rooms were empty. No one would hear anything even if something were to happen.

She smiled faintly and stepped into the last private room. Housekeeper Bronte followed closely, clutching the drug-drenched handkerchief, preparing to first knock out Xaviera, then stealthily take her away. After all, no one would suspect him dragging a drunken person through the Blue Dream Pavilion.

Housekeeper Bronte paused, watching Xaviera enter the farthest private room, where her cries for help would go unheard. What a fool!

Xaviera entered the private room and casually chose a seat. The private rooms in the Blue Dream Pavilion were spacious, with complete facilities such as a karaoke room, a bedroom, a shower room, and even clean clothes.

Xaviera leaned back on the sofa, quietly waiting for Housekeeper Bronte to enter.

She knew her mother’s belongings had not been destroyed by Housekeeper Bronte, but he was willing to take the blame for Nidya Hughes and Sebastian Legend, so who could he blame but himself? He was foolish enough to think that the Hughes family would save him!

Cory Hughes must have threatened Housekeeper Bronte’s family, forcing him to take responsibility. Later, Cory also incited him to take revenge when he was cornered and filled with resentment.
