Common Sense Hijack System-Chapter 62
Chapter 62: Chapter 62
Karl totally silent, trying to hide his shock while trying to figure out what Layla might be thinking. He knew for sure it wasn’t the right time to spill everything, but at the same time, he couldn’t ignore Layla’s sharp gaze.
With bated breath, Karl finally shifted his gaze to the woman. "That... isn’t what you think," he said briefly.
Layla narrowed her eyes, clearly not easily convinced. But, after a moment, she nodded slowly. "Listen, I don’t know who you really are, and honestly, I don’t really care."
Karl eyed her suspiciously. "You won’t report me, will you?"
"I have no reason to report you, I don’t care about anything anymore," Layla sighed.
Karl looked at Layla strangely, this time he wasn’t horny, just curious why a young woman like Layla seemed so hopeless, with no desire and no hope, when out there, many were willing to sell their asshole to old men just to vacation in fancy places.
The atmosphere was tense, but when a pretty influencer appeared on the news, Layla suddenly looked like someone who’s pissed, "Tsk... scammer!" Layla clenched her fists.
"Wh... what’s wrong with you?" Karl frowned.
"That woman!" Layla pointed at the screen, "That woman ruined my life, made me not accepted by my family, lost my friends, she defamed me for fame!" Layla explained.
Karl fell silent, swallowing the shock he couldn’t completely hide. Now, the story Layla told began to unfold more clearly, like puzzle pieces fitting together one by one. He realized how dark the accusations directed at him were, and no wonder Layla was so desperate and angry.
"She... defamed you?" Karl asked softly, almost unbelieving.
Layla nodded, her face stiff but with rage and pain held in her eyes. "She said I had an illicit relationship with my own uncle... and with a teacher in my school. You know, at that time I was still too young to understand how the world works, too innocent to grasp that there are people who would do such cruel things."
Karl was stunned by Layla’s story. The accusation not only destroyed one’s reputation, but also shattered their future, tarnished their family, and allowed gossip to ruin Layla’s life from within.
Layla sighed, her voice sounded bitter. "After that, everything changed. People looked at me with disgust, my family didn’t believe me, even the friends who had always been by my side distanced themselves as if I were a disease they had to avoid."
Karl listened carefully, and inside him, he felt anger growing, not just towards the person who had ruined Layla’s life, but also towards the system that easily believed lies without allowing the truth to speak.
"How could someone be so heartless?" Karl asked disbelievingly, not realizing he was just as depraved for liking to bang other men’s wives.
Layla smiled sadly, a smile filled with bitterness. "She wanted popularity. And me, I was the perfect victim to be used as a stepping stone. At that time, she managed to get the public’s attention and sympathy from everyone. Everyone saw her as a victim, while I was seen as a little bitch. Until finally, I felt like I didn’t belong in this world."
Karl fell silent, feeling something heavy in his chest. He knew the pain of being destroyed by lies, how dark the world can be when loved ones become the most dangerous.
"You don’t deserve to be treated like that, Layla," Karl finally said, his tone firm. "And I will help you prove the truth, no matter what it takes."
Layla looked at Karl, shocked to hear the determination in the man’s voice. For the first time in a long time, there was a glimmer of hope shining in her eyes. However, there was still a bit of doubt remaining.
"Are you sure?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"Of course, I can make her tell the truth!"
"What? So you really can do hypnosis?" Layla asked.
Karl was confused, "Uh.. I’m confused what to call it haha..."
Layla checked her outdated phone, "Spermberggirl, right?"
Layla just remembered the recent viral Spermberggirl case, "Karl, is that true? you’re crazy Karl!"
Karl looked down, "Y.. yes.. but.. I won’t do that to you, don’t worry." Karl was confused, afraid Layla would judge him.
Layla smiled, stood up and grabbed both of Karl’s shoulders, "Karl.. you don’t need to make her tell the truth!" Layla shook Karl’s body.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Karl frowned while looking at Layla’s face which seemed enthusiastic.
"You can help me get revenge!" Layla smirked.
Layla scared Karl.
Karl fell silent, thinking about Layla’s request filled with vengeance. He knew that using his power for such a purpose was not wise, but he didn’t care, because he also used to bang other people’s wives, and on the other hand, he couldn’t deny that he also felt deep sympathy for Layla. Behind Layla’s tough facade, he could see deep wounds and years of pent-up suffering.
Finally, with a heavy heart, Karl nodded slowly. "Okay, I’ll help you. But there’s one condition."
Layla immediately looked at him with hope. "What’s the condition?"
Karl looked at her seriously. "You must keep my ability a secret from anyone. No one should know what I can really do. If this leaks out, we could be in serious danger."
Layla nodded quickly, without any hesitation. "Of course, Karl. I promise. No one will know about this. Your ability is safe with me."
Karl breathed a sigh of relief. At least, with that promise, he felt more at ease to help Layla without worrying about the potentially serious consequences.
"So, what now?" Karl continued, looking at Layla sharply, "What kind of revenge do you want?"
Layla smiled faintly, but her eyes were full of conviction. "Fuck her, Karl, make the whole world see her filthy body, make the whole world see her ass hole, crush her dignity, if you can, fuck her mom too, make them all into whores." Layla laughed with a frightening gaze in her eyes.
Karl swallowed spit and muttered, "Oh my, that’s pretty crazy, but it’s okay. Besides, I like sex."
Karl nodded slowly. "Alright. If that’s what you want!"
Layla took a long breath, but a smile full of certainty remained on her face. "I’m ready, Karl. I’ve been waiting long enough for this."
Karl looked at Layla with a mix of amazement and fear. For the first time, he saw a different side of the woman—a dark side full of pent-up rage. The expression on Layla’s face was far from before; her eyes sharp and almost uncontrollable, like someone ready to do anything to achieve her goal.
"Layla, are you... really sure this is what you want?" Karl asked cautiously. He knew that seeking revenge could bring temporary satisfaction, but there was a high price that might have to be paid.
Layla nodded quickly, even without a second thought. "I’m tired of being a victim, Karl. She ruined my life, and now she has to feel what I felt."
Karl sighed, trying to calm the atmosphere. "But if we rush into this, we’ll only make this problem bigger. We need a solid plan—and maybe there’s another way to reveal the truth without completely destroying her life."
Layla chuckled softly, but her voice was cold and flat. "You don’t need to be too nice to her, Karl. That woman never showed an ounce of mercy when she ruined my life. What I want now is to make her feel the same suffering, even more. I won’t feel at peace if she only gets a slight reprimand."
Karl looked at Layla with concern. He knew deep-seated revenge could change a person, and it seemed Layla was truly trapped in the hatred she felt. "If this is really what you want, I’ll help you," Karl finally said. "But you have to follow my plan."
Layla looked at Karl with an unpredictable gaze. She took a deep breath, then nodded slowly. "Alright, Karl. I’ll follow your plan. But I want to make sure of one thing—she has to feel the same suffering I felt."
Karl felt hesitant, but he nodded in agreement.
Layla smiled faintly, and in her gaze, Karl could feel the deep wounds hidden behind the vengeance she had been holding onto for so long.
They sat, "Karl, where are you from? why are you here?" Layla started to be curious about Karl’s life, she had been on the road alone for a long time with no one to talk to and when people recognized her they would just insult Layla.
"I.. I.. I was kidnapped and... it’s hard to explain everything, but one thing is for sure someone knows that I’m the guy in the Spermberggirl video and wants to kill me." Karl explained briefly.
"Oh really." Layla didn’t want to make Karl uncomfortable, because Karl had become her way to launch revenge later.
"By the way, where are we?" Karl asked.
"Northrill City," Layla replied.
Karl’s eyes widened. "Northrill?"
"Damn, Obscura shit took me too far." Karl muttered.
He took a deep breath. "Alright, Layla. If that’s the case, we’re here and far from that filthy influencer’s home. We have plenty of time to make a plan."
Layla looked at Karl with a sharp, cold gaze. "I’ll do whatever it takes, Karl. If you say it takes time, I’ll wait. But don’t forget... she has to feel what I felt."
Karl looked deep into Layla’s eyes, trying to see the human side behind her now entrapped in the darkness of vengeance. For a moment, he felt pity for this girl, for the fate that made her so tough. But he realized that revenge always feels good, as he were did that to Zoey.
"Alright," Karl finally replied, a little reluctantly. "Let’s start slowly, by thinking about how we can get to Unril City, where that filthy influencer lives!"
Layla smiled faintly, although the smile didn’t bring any warmth. "I know the train route to there, Karl," she said in a cold but satisfied tone.
Footsteps approached them, a man’s voice shouted at them.
"YOO... BITCH! YOU GOT A BOYFRIEND NOW!?"
