Common Sense Hijack System-Chapter 96
Chapter 96: Chapter 96
"Me?" The woman smiled softly, stepping closer to Karl with a graceful, almost dance-like movement. "I’m the reflection of what you desire, Karl. The desires you’ve buried deep within yourself, ones you might not even realize."
Karl took a step back, trying to keep some distance, but he could feel himself weakening under the intensity of her gaze. The intoxicating scent of flowers grew stronger, clouding his thoughts. "I... I don’t have time for this. I have to fix this dimension."
The woman chuckled softly, her voice like a melody—sweet but dangerously hypnotic. "Oh, but fixing this dimension is a journey to fix yourself, isn’t it? Don’t rush, Karl. You can enjoy this moment. Maybe for the first time... let go of your burdens."
She extended her hand toward him, and Karl felt his body respond involuntarily. His hand reached out, almost touching hers, but he quickly pulled it back with force. "No! This... this is just an illusion. You’re not real!"
The woman looked at him with eyes full of gentleness, but there was something cunning behind her gaze. "If I’m just an illusion, then why do I feel so real to you?" She stepped closer, just inches away from Karl. Her delicate hand brushed against his cheek, making his body shiver.
Karl felt his chest tighten, as though caught between desire and duty. When he tried to step back again, she grabbed his hand. Her soft fingers slid slowly down his arm, then to his wrist. Her touch was so light, yet enough to freeze him in place.
"I can help you, Karl," she whispered, her eyes locking onto his with an intensity that was almost hypnotic. "But you have to let yourself open up to me. Let me guide you."
Karl tried to pull his hand away, but she held on tighter, her smile shifting into something more intense. Her fingers trailed downward, brushing against a part of him that made him freeze. A strange warmth spread through his body, making it nearly impossible to think straight.
"Stop..." Karl whispered, his voice barely audible. "This is wrong."
The woman leaned closer, whispering in his ear with a low, seductive tone. "What’s wrong, Karl? Feeling something? Enjoying what you really want?"
Suddenly, a bright blue flash erupted from Karl’s chest. A cold, mechanical voice echoed through the room.

The flash forced the woman to step back, her face twisting into anger. "You’re really fighting this?" she hissed, her previously soft expression turning sharp. "Fine, Karl. Let’s see how far you can go."
Her body began melting into the shadows, morphing into a more monstrous form with fangs and elongated claws. The light in the room dimmed, and Karl knew he had to act fast before it was too late.
He took a deep breath, shaking off the lingering effects of her intoxicating influence. "Not anymore. I’m ending this." He pulled out a small crystal that suddenly lit up in his hand—a gift from a previous room.
The crystal glowed brightly, filling the entire space with blue light. The woman—or creature—screamed before disintegrating into black mist. The pool in the center of the room dried up, leaving only cracked stone beneath it.

Karl stood in the now-empty room, catching his breath. "That... was closer than I expected." He glanced at a new hallway that had opened up ahead of him, knowing that temptations like this would only grow stronger as he moved forward.
"Focus," he muttered to himself, taking the first step toward his next challenge. "This is just the beginning."
---
Karl had just stepped into the newly opened hallway when an abrupt pull yanked his body into darkness. The sensation was so sudden and forceful that he didn’t even have time to scream. It felt like his body was being broken down into tiny particles and reassembled in seconds. When light returned to his vision, he found himself standing in the middle of an unfamiliar city.
"What... is this?" Karl murmured, looking around in shock. The city was a blend of modern and fantastical elements. Towering buildings with bizarre, glowing architecture surrounded him, while the streets were crowded with people in flashy, outlandish clothing. But it wasn’t the scenery that stunned him—it was their behavior.
Everywhere he looked, people were hugging, kissing, and even having sex openly, as though it was completely normal. They acted like privacy didn’t exist. Some were doing it in front of shop windows, on sidewalks, or on balconies overlooking the streets below.
"This is insane," Karl muttered, trying to avoid looking directly at the scenes around him. A wave of embarrassment and discomfort swept over him, but the people nearby didn’t seem to care at all.
Suddenly, a familiar electronic voice echoed in his mind.

In front of Karl, a blue hologram appeared in the shape of a large book. Its title was displayed in bold letters: Common Sense Maker: Survival Guide for Morality-Free Dimensions.
"Common Sense Maker? Haven’t used this in a while," Karl muttered, eyeing the hologram. freewebnσvel.cѳm
The hologram began to speak in a monotone but clear voice. "This dimension has lost its moral boundaries and social norms. The behavioral deviations you see are the result of an anomaly disrupting collective consciousness."
Karl sighed heavily. "So, I have to fix this too? How?"
"The Common Sense Maker module will assist you in rebuilding moral boundaries by influencing the dimension’s core consciousness. However, you must identify and neutralize the primary energy source manipulating this behavior."
Karl shook his head, still struggling to believe what he was hearing. "And where’s the source?"
The hologram disappeared, replaced by a marker in the air, pointing toward a massive building at the center of the city. The structure was shaped like a crystalline tower glowing in a vivid pink hue, pulsing with an energy that Karl could feel even from where he stood.
"Of course... it’s always a weird tower," Karl grumbled. "Alright, let’s get this over with."
He walked through the crowd, doing his best to ignore the bizarre behavior happening around him. But the closer he got to the tower, the more he felt the energy affecting him too. His body grew warmer, and his mind began to fill with images he didn’t want to see.
"Focus, Karl," he told himself, gripping the small crystal in his pocket to steady his thoughts.
Finally reaching the tower’s entrance, a voice echoed from above. It was a mix of laughter and seductive whispers.
"Welcome to the heart of absolute freedom, Karl. Are you ready to lose the last bit of control you have?"
Karl clenched his jaw, staring up at the tower. The seductive voice seemed to pierce into his thoughts, almost as if it was speaking directly to his reasoning, trying to dismantle what little resolve he had left.
"I’m done with these games," he muttered, though his tone betrayed the tension he couldn’t shake.
The energy emanating from the tower grew more intense as he stepped inside. Giant pink crystalline doors opened on their own, revealing an even stranger interior. The hallways glowed with shifting, vibrant colors, and the walls shimmered like liquid diamonds. The air inside was heavier, warmer, like an invisible force pulling him into an embrace.
Karl treaded carefully down the hallway, the crystal in his hand dimly glowing, providing a faint sense of security. But each step felt harder, as though something was trying to slow him down. The whispering voice returned, closer this time, more intimate.
"You don’t have to fight this, Karl. Here, you’re free. No rules. No burdens. What are you so afraid of?"
He tried to block out the voice, but his mind began to fill with disturbing images—visions of himself giving in, letting go, and indulging in the euphoria this dimension promised. Faces of people he knew flashed in his mind, looking at him with seductive expressions.
"Focus," Karl whispered, biting his lip to keep his thoughts clear. "This is just the dimension messing with me."
Before he could take another step, something stopped him. Shadows began to slide out of the walls around him, forming human-like figures. They resembled the city’s inhabitants he had seen earlier, but their faces were blank, with no eyes or mouths. They moved slowly toward him, as if preparing to surround him.
"This doesn’t look good," Karl muttered, stepping back.
The shadowy figures closed in, and one of them suddenly spoke, though its mouth didn’t move. "You can’t fight this, Karl. This dimension is true freedom. Stop trying to change it. Be part of it."
Karl clenched his fist, the crystal in his pocket glowing brighter. "I’m not part of this. And I won’t give up!"
The crystal emitted a blinding blue light, forcing the shadows to retreat with silent screams. Karl seized the moment, running past them and into a large chamber at the end of the hallway. There was no time to hesitate.
In the center of the room, he saw a massive glowing pink orb hovering above an altar, surrounded by a circle of strange symbols. The orb pulsed with energy, like the beating heart of the dimension. This was the source of the chaos.
"Finally," Karl muttered, catching his breath.
But before he could approach the orb, the seductive voice from before echoed again, this time filled with anger.
"You really want to destroy this freedom? Why? Would you rather live with rules and limitations? This dimension is paradise, Karl. Everyone here is happy."
