Demon Hunter and His Cabin-Chapter 217 - The Presidents Intentions
Chapter 217: Chapter 217: The President’s Intentions
Chapter 217: Chapter 217: The President’s Intentions
Unknown locale.
Blake walked into a towering Gothic building along the cobblestone alley.
The building was empty, devoid of decorations and furniture, with bare gray walls and a huge eye painted on the high vaulted ceiling.
Surveying the space from a lofty perspective.
“Is that you, Blake?”
A voice sounded by his ear.
Blake stopped in his tracks.
“Teacher…”
“The trouble in Rivervalley Town should have been caused by the Voodoo Association. Cassandra’s intentions are clear, and furthermore…”
“She seems to have uncovered a bit of our secrets.”
“There are always many clever people in this world.”
The voice chuckled lightly.
“Of course, they also die very quickly.”
“Should we agree to her terms?”
Blake inquired.
“Why not?”
“But…” Blake hesitated.
“Times have changed,” the voice answered.
“Accept her offer.”
“I am very much looking forward to meeting her.”
“Once Cassandra comes in, root out the Voodoo Forces outside.”
“They no longer have any reason to exist.”
The voice gradually grew deeper before fading to a whisper.
Blake bowed his head and slowly retreated along the way he came, leaving the great hall.
Glancing back at the building, Blake always felt as if something had merged into the entire structure, ready to emerge at any moment.
In some deep place underground, someone opened their eyes within a crystal sarcophagus.
“A Full Moon Transcendent’s womb…”
“Should be able to cultivate a body that satisfies me, right?”
Meanwhile, just as Blake had entered the Hunters Guild, he saw Chris hurriedly approaching.
“Mr. Blake, there has been a breakthrough in the situation at Rivervalley Town. Several patients have suddenly awakened and are now out of critical condition, undergoing further observation.”
“We don’t have to worry about the Voodoo Association anymore!”
Chris said with a surprise-filled face.
Hearing Chris’s words, Blake merely nodded.
“Prepare the vehicle; I need to see Cassandra.”
“Mr. Blake?”
Chris was stunned, not quite understanding Blake’s actions.
“Go on, prepare it.”
Blake offered no further explanation.
He wasn’t clear on what exactly had happened, but none of that mattered now; his teacher had given approval, and all that remained was to carry out the order.
Soon after, Chris drove Blake back to the Voodoo Association’s manor.
“The teacher has agreed to Ms. Cassandra’s terms.”
Blake spoke straightforwardly.

“A wise decision.”
Ashley smiled.
“What’s happened?”
An eloquent voice came from a room upstairs; Blake lifted his head, his expression showing no surprise.
“Ms. Cassandra, you’re back.”
“Just arrived, come up.”
Two minutes later, Blake entered the room and once again saw the Black Pearl of the Bordeaux region.
This woman was dazzling to the point of being unbearable to look directly at.
Not just for her beauty, but also the supremely powerful radiance that emanated from her.
That was the aura unique to someone who had reached the Peak of Full Moon.
“I see.”
A bit of enlightenment dawned on Blake.
Cassandra was running out of time; for her, not being able to take that critical step was as good as being dead.
“The teacher has agreed to your request.”
Blake looked at Cassandra.
“The situation in Rivervalley Town…”
Cassandra waved her hand dismissively.
“Ashley will take care of it for you.”
She stood up from the couch, her bare feet stepping on the carpet, the metal anklets making a pleasant clinking sound.
“What are you waiting for, take me to see your teacher.”
Blake hesitated slightly.
“Are you afraid I will go back on my word?”
“I wouldn’t dare.”
Blake lowered his head.
“Since I promised you, I will definitely do it.”
“And your teacher?”
“Is he ready to leave there?”
Blake hesitated for a moment but then answered truthfully.
“The teacher said times have changed, and that place can handle the addition of Full Moon-level combat power.”
“Oh?”
A glint of excitement flashed in Cassandra’s eyes.
“Fantastic!”
“This is the best news I’ve heard in years.”
“Let’s go!”
Cassandra commanded, and after speaking, she glanced at Ashley and nodded slightly.
“Go to Rivervalley Town and take care of the problems there.”
“Be serious about it. I don’t want any loose ends that might make some old man think there’s an ulterior motive.”
Blake naturally caught the implication in Cassandra’s words and simply nodded.
“The witches of the Voodoo Association are smart. They naturally won’t make such mistakes.”
From beginning to end, Blake’s behavior was beyond reproach.
As he watched the two leave, just when Ashley was about to catch a ride to Baytown, a witch stealthily approached her and whispered something.
“What?!”
“How could such a problem arise?”
“There was no discrepancy in the queen’s ritual, was it Julianne?”
“Could it be her that…”
……
“Hiss!”
The Steel Sword, ablaze with flames, pierced the ugly skull. Roger twisted his wrist, and when he pulled it out, the entire skull was mangled into mush.
The monster’s massive body thunderously fell, and Anna hovered in midair, her whole being seeming a bit more ethereal.
“Your body…”
“Without its own energy source, every battle is a drain.”
“Its corpse is mine now!”
Roger nodded, as Anna had contributed the most in this fight, and indeed, she needed to replenish her energy.
Just then, he suddenly heard footsteps from outside. Roger became alert and climbed up the ladder to the upper level of the cave.
Before long, he saw four figures emerge from the mouth of the cave.
“Tangde?”
“Roger, you’re still alive!”
Lawrence said with surprise, “What happened here?”
“When did you become so strong that you could kill everyone?”
Envy was unmistakable in Lawrence’s eyes.
Tangde’s pupils constricted slightly, “Roger, have you entered the Transcendent Realm?”
Roger nodded, he had been trying hard to hide it, but Tangde had spotted it at a glance.
“Don’t mind it, I’m not trying to pry into your secrets, but the difference between a Transcendent and an ordinary person is too great.”
“Like a young tiger and a house cat, they are completely different species.”
“Congratulations!”
Tangde said sincerely.
“The Bordeaux region has gained another Demonic Hunter who has entered the Transcendent Realm.”
Seeing the spirited Roger, Lawrence’s eyes flickered with complex emotions, remembering the path he had once chosen, he made a silent resolution.
“What happened below?”
The group descended the ladder, and Roger briefly explained what had happened and shared his conjectures.
When they reached the bottom, the monster’s gigantic body had shrunk by more than half, its skin wrinkled and desiccated as if all its essence had been drained away.
A flash of white light passed over his hand, and while no one was paying attention, Roger quietly retrieved the Domino.
He tried sensing and found that Anna was absorbing the newly acquired energy, and it shouldn’t take long for her to revive.
At that moment, the entire cave below began to shake, the mud at the bottom of the pit spread to the shore, and slowly, a stone platform marked with patterns rose from the midst.
“What is this?”
