The matter of Lady Dimitri holding the city at ransom had become public knowledge. It couldn't be kept hidden because a lot of villains wanted to kill her and had to be stopped.

Those villains needed an explanation. Besides, the law enforcement of the city was also going around inspecting people. They too had to give people an explanation for what they were doing.

There were also the heroes who had to preen and strut for the public. They couldn't do their work of looking for cursed people quietly. They had to shout it out to the world so that everyone would know what they were doing and appreciate their hard work.

So the matter was on TV for everyone to see. It had become something of a hot topic. A lot of channels were talking about it.

What most of the channels were talking about was how long Lady Dimitri was going to live. No one thought she would be able to get out of this alive, much less get what she wants and get away with this.

Kelvin couldn't help but agree. He shook his head and said, "She has walked herself into a dead end. Her destination is to become dead."

Her situation reminded him of what would occur to him if his identity as the paragon was ever made known. He too might be cornered like Lady Dimitri.

The difference is that it will be demigods doing most of the cornering, not mortals. So his situation will be more dangerous.

But he has hope for himself, if only because this is not the first time he has seen something like this happen, and the person survived the hunt for their lives.

He is thinking of that man with the Earth Escape ability. He too was pursued by a lot of people. One of them was Thorin, yet the man evaded Thorin and managed to escape with his life.

He snorted and said, "Then again, that man didn't anger both the corpos, villains, and heroes. Only the corpos were after him. And it wasn't even all of them. The man was stupid, but he wasn't Lady Dimitri stupid."

One ironic thing going on was that Lady Dimitri had grown stronger. Her actions made her popular, which increased her fan count.

She has a sort of popularity that he wishes he had, but he is not jealous of her. In fact, he doesn't want to be anywhere near her precarious situation.

If there is a position he wants to have in relation to her situation, it is the position of the curious layman watching TV to know what her outcome will be. That is what his position is currently, and he is content with it.

"Besides, I too am becoming popular. If everything goes well, I will soon become a household name."

"If it doesn't go well and my identity as the paragon becomes known by everyone, I'm sure I will become much more popular than her. So even if I do something stupid like this or I don't, I am still better than her in terms of popularity."

The matter of popularity is another incentive for him to reveal his identity within a game. But he prioritizes his life, so he won't do that yet.

Lady Dimitri has actually become very popular. Her matter has become known in a lot of cities outside New London.

She is a terrorist capable of a lot of deaths. It is the kind of reputation that many villains want but are not suicidal enough to try to acquire outside of the destiny games.

The public was updated about any development on her matter as soon as possible. One of those developments was the final solution to the matter.

The news anchor was speaking with surprise, "I am getting confirmed information that a solution has been found to the matter of Lady Dimitri. This is a welcome surprise."

The news anchor had to pause because more information arrived through her earphones. She became excited the more she heard.

She said, "Actually, scratch that. I have news that Lady Dimitri has been killed. I repeat, the scourge that is Lady Dimitri has been eliminated. This has been confirmed."

This was what everyone expected, so Kelvin wasn't surprised. He just felt that it was earlier than expected.

The news anchor continued, "We have someone on scene with more information on how Lady Dimitri was neutralized and put down. Apparently, we have a hero for this."

The display on the screen changed from the newsroom to the front of the building that Lady Dimitri had been holed up in for two days now.

This scene is popular because it has been shown a lot recently. Usually, what is shown is a barricade around the skyscraper preventing people from leaving or going into it. But things were different this time.

There were no barricades anymore. People could leave and enter the building again. There was also a crowd of journalists outside the skyscraper rushing to interview the hero who saved the city.

The hero was a young man with blond hair and golden eyes. Kelvin recognized his identity immediately.

Even though he was watching the TV through his shadow, he tried to sit up when Zero showed up. But he couldn't sit up because he still couldn't move.

The journalists were crowding Zero. They put microphones in his face and were asking him a barrage of questions.

"How did you manage to defeat Lady Dimitri without endangering the whole city?"

Zero smiled and said, "The city had focused too much on resolving her curse by finding the afflicted individuals and removing their curse. But that was tedious and inefficient."

"It was unlikely that they would have succeeded that way. It would have taken too much time even if it had succeeded. So I suggested resolving the curse by resolving her."

"I used my ability called Imprisonment to cut off her ability and weaken her. Then I killed her. This prevented her curse from activating and saved the city."

"I didn't achieve this on my own. I have a lot of people to thank for their hard work and contributions to the work of saving the city. I want to thank the heroes of…"
