Disaster Apocalypse: Farming, Family, and My Hidden Secret Space-Chapter 47. Gone crazy
Chapter 47: 47. Gone crazy
Since Hua Xiaocao dared to see this strange side, don’t be afraid of her spreading it around. Besides, even if she tells others, no one would believe such bizarre things. Hua Jian looked around the empty surroundings and sneered coldly.
In a flash, she floated towards Hua Xiaocao, using a chilling, deep voice that seemed to echo from hell to murmur: "Hua Xiaocao, are you ready? Blood for blood... blood must be repaid."
If Hua Xiaocao was scared to death before, now the scene of floating in mid-air made her so terrified that she seemed to lose her mind.
Little did she know if she dared to look, she would see Hua Jian’s feet on a balance scooter.
Unfortunately, after all, being a young girl, she had never seen anyone disappear and reappear suddenly. Ingrained in her mind, only gods or ghosts could do such things. As long as she thought about Hua Jian saying she was already dead, her mind exploded.
There was only one thought... Hua Jian’s ghost had come to seek revenge on her.
The innate fear of ghosts and gods left her completely bewildered, as if countless Hua Jians were with twisted grins pouncing towards her, tearing at her flesh, crushing her bones, devouring her soul, the pain making her unable to maintain posture as she held her head and lay on the ground convulsing. Clearly trying desperately to scream out, she couldn’t make a sound. Moments later, she held that grim posture without moving, with a trickle of blood gradually seeping out from the corner of her mouth.
"Did she die of fright?" Hua Jian put away the balance scooter under her feet into space and disdainfully kicked Hua Xiaocao with her foot.
It wasn’t that she was cold-blooded, but this little girl was too malicious. Since she took on the original host and enjoyed the family’s love, she should accept this karma and avenge the original host. She didn’t skin her alive, which was already showing her kindness.
Moreover, Hua Jian never considered herself a good person. Manouvering alone in the world, she was highly vigilant and had a vengeful nature. Suffering is never a blessing in her mind but only drags you into a more passive state, exposing you to bullying and trampling, which is a sign of incompetence.
No response, out of disdain Hua Jian squatted down and placed a finger under Hua Xiaocao’s nose.
There was a breath, not dead, she only fainted. What a pity, thought Hua Jian.
She looked around the empty surroundings thinking about how to avenge the original. So... should she dispose of the body or dispose of the body?
Before she could decide, the unconscious person slowly moved, her body extending, then suddenly sat up with eyes wide open staring blankly ahead, seemingly not seeing the living person in front of her at all, without the least expression of resentment or fear.
Then, as if spotting something, her eyes brightened, she suddenly got up and laughed out loud.
"Flower, flower, beautiful flower, beautiful flower, my flower, my flower," she mumbled, roughly tugging on a few wildflowers not far away, inserting them into her withered little bun with a foolish smile, not giving Hua Jian standing beside her a single glance.
"Mom, hungry, hungry... Mom, don’t hit me, don’t hit me..." Right as she was touching the wildflowers on her head, in the next moment Hua Xiaocao suddenly shrunk herself into a ball, holding her head and howling incessantly.
That voice... Hua Jian frowned.
Luckily this place was a bit remote; otherwise, who knows how many people it might have attracted.
Watching Hua Xiaocao laughing and crying and trembling in turn, Hua Jian was deep in thought.
So... wasn’t it like she thought.
...Gone mad, she scared her insane.
...Just unsure if it was for real or fake, Hua Jian squinted at Hua Xiaocao stuffing grass into her mouth, exclaiming how tasty it was.
Aren’t you going to know by testing? If she really is mad, it would be self-inflicted, not worth her dirtying her hands.
Imagine how Hua Xiaocao, capable of working, wasn’t even treated as human at home, and now that she’s mad, it would be even worse.
"Are you hungry?" Hua Jian half-knelt in front of Hua Xiaocao, showing a gentle smile like a kind elder sister.
Hua Xiaocao paused her movements of eating grass, raised her head dazedly and looked at Hua Jian, then suddenly grinned, showing a mouth full of green grass.
"Hungry..." Hua Xiaocao nodded unconsciously.
"Do you want something tasty to eat?" Hua Jian continued to show an innocent smile.
"Hungry..." Hua Xiaocao kept unconsciously chanting hunger, her eyes drifting around.
"Wait, I’ll find you something tasty," Hua Jian said, glancing around, then in a corner, pinching her nose with one hand and disdainfully wrapping a lump of something with dry leaves.
Her expression was hard to describe. If not testing Hua Xiaocao, she would never touch the dried dung which still exuded a sour stench.
Finding it only in a corner, otherwise it would have long been picked up by the villagers—it’s an excellent fertilizer, very precious indeed.
What good stuff! Fertilizes fields without killing anyone, perfect for experimentation.
"Here, some tasty meat, eat it," Hua Jian placed the dung into Hua Xiaocao’s uninjured hand.
Staring blankly at it, then with a silly grin, Hua Xiaocao really seemed starved mad and stuffed the dung into her mouth, taking several big bites, making Hua Jian unable to hold back any longer and vomit.
But Hua Xiaocao kept chewing with pleasure, occasionally showing a satisfied expression on her face.
Hua Jian really couldn’t stand it, quickly slapped what remained of the dung from Hua Xiaocao’s hand and kicked it far away.
Too revolting.
Especially Hua Xiaocao with both grass and dung in her mouth, ugh... couldn’t even think about it.
"Ah... my food, mine... mine"
Having the dung knocked away, Hua Xiaocao instantly refused to let it go, glaring at Hua Jian with hostility, then rolling and crawling to retrieve it, but was pulled back to sit on the ground by Hua Jian, who inspected her eyes filled with resentment.
At this moment, Hua Xiaocao only wanted to break free from her captor, flailing with all her might, eyes anxiously gazing towards the dung’s direction, murmuring "mine, mine".
No matter how strong Hua Jian was, a person’s madness held uncontrollable destructive power; she unavoidably received a few kicks, painful but bearable.
Glaring intently at Hua Xiaocao for a moment, she released her grip.
A person’s eyes can’t lie, especially a child’s.
At this moment, Hua Xiaocao’s eyes truly lacked a person’s normal clarity.
Eyes vacant, behavior erratic—seems she genuinely was scared insane.
It’s indeed true that pitiable people have exasperating reasons.
Had she not harbored malicious thoughts deliberately confronting her in the woods, she wouldn’t end up like this. A smart person hides and waits, never giving a chance to retaliate.
Blame only herself.
And... nothing to fear even if pretending, making someone disappear isn’t that complex.
Watching the distant silhouetted figure faintly approaching, Hua Jian squinted at Hua Xiaocao before turning to walk in another direction, deliberately avoiding entering the space.
Once she left, Hua Xiaocao hurriedly crawled and rolled to retrieve the kicked-away dung, stuffing it into her mouth.
The whole scene was clearly observed by Hua Jian in the space, eliminating her last doubts.
"Isn’t that Xiaocao?" the approaching figure exclaimed, vomiting sounds following immediately after. A woman holding back revulsion rushed to Hua Xiaocao, kindly trying to remove the object from her mouth. But instead, Hua Xiaocao pushed back, sitting her on the ground, warily clutching the last bit of dung, murmuring "mine... mine..."
