Don't confiscate my identity as a human race-Chapter 1353 - 835 Lanci’s Preparations Before the Final Battle_3
Actually, Alexia never revealed any other members’ identities to her. The principles of this organization have always been strictly upheld since its inception.
"No wonder last time when Number Three wanted my research materials, Number Four just acted like they were chatting, with no intention of getting involved at all."
Lanci analyzed while resting his chin on his hand.
So it turned out they were completely standing on the sidelines.
The initially nonchalant Number Four, enlisted by the Princess, seemed more like an outsider who preferred not to participate. Yet, the fact that the Princess entrusted Number Four with the card signified how crucial they were in her eyes for striking back against the Blood Clan.
As for Number Nine, they were even more enigmatic.
It seemed the Princess didn’t fully trust this person either. Yet, for some reason, she came to know this person, and based on intuition, wanted to believe in them. Therefore, in the end, she took the risk of handing Number Nine the card to enhance the chances of opposing the Blood Clan.
"Sorry, even though you found me, I haven’t been able to help you much in a substantial way."
Nyla apologized to Lanci.
"That’s not true, Miss Nyla. You’ve always been helping me."
Lanci hurriedly waved his hand toward Nyla.
Just tonight alone, securing Violet’s promise and successfully locating the missing Number Eight was already a significant gain. If he could extract some information about the remaining two members’ identities from Number Eight, today’s overtime efforts would be incredibly rewarding.
The outcomes so far had already far exceeded his expectations.
"Would you like to come with me to meet the other members?"
Lanci asked Nyla once again.
"That’s not necessary. The help I can offer is limited, so it’s better if I don’t know too much for now."
Nyla shook her head, focusing her gaze on the road of the Saint Kray Monastery deep into the night.
"I’m so insignificant that knowing too much intelligence might actually harm you all. What I can do is to shield you within the monastery, preventing unrelated individuals from nearing your residence, and provide logistical support whenever needed. Just think of me as your innkeeper."
She had a clear understanding of her role. The Princess originally sought her out precisely because of her extensive connections and administrative skills within the Saint Kray Monastery.
"Alright."
Lanci did not press further.
Not long after, the vehicle slowed and came to a stop on a street beside a familiar courtyard.
What came into view was Professor Landry’s two-story residence. The ivory-white walls glowed softly under the monastery’s streetlights. The azure blue roof tiles and slightly deep brown window frames gave it the appearance of a building with several decades of history.
"If you need help with anything in the future, you can always use the communication Magic Device to contact me."
Secretary Nyla said before bowing in her usual manner.
"When the victory banquet comes, you must attend, alright?"
Lanci waved at Nyla.
"Of course. I’m also really curious about who else might show up at the celebration."
Nyla responded affirmatively, a faint smile appearing on her face.
Among all these online acquaintances, the only identities she could confirm were Professor Landry and Princess Alexia.
She was also eager to see who else she might meet then.
"See you then."
The two bid farewell.
Lanci watched as Secretary Nyla’s car disappeared into the night. freeweɓnovel.cѳm
She had been one of his earliest partners upon arriving in Brilda, silently assisting him by providing guidance and information during his initial days there.
Carrying a large gray cat, Lanci turned and walked into the courtyard.
He didn’t feel much of a spy’s typical tension.
The days spent in the Cerryti Empire had been far better than his time in the Northern Continent.
After a long day of toil, rest seemed more vital than anything else right now. The upcoming Cret National Celebration, one that could change and determine everything, seemed as if it were just around the corner.
He looked up at the residence.
Thus far, his journey in the Cerryti Empire—lengthy work and relentless travels—had reached a fulfilling conclusion.
But the new mission, his final battle, was about to begin.
