Gong Liwei was helping Wei Lan in her garden, crouching with a small garden shovel next to the flowers she just finished caring for.

And then her eyes caught the sight of a small caterpillar slowly making its way across a leaf. These were a specific breed of butterfly caterpillars that pollinated the plants, which were brought in specifically.

"Haha, this one reminds me of myself", she chuckled, seeing how slowly the caterpillar moved.

For a moment, she seemed to have become lost in her thoughts, losing track of time, thinking of her cultivation and the recent yet another mind block that prevented her cultivation from going smoothly.

It was the reason she came here to help out, as she liked flowers, and working with her hands helped her clear her mind, which was essential for dealing with mind blocks in cultivation.

Her eyes were sill somewhat mindlessly following the caterpillar, until her attention was brought back.

"We're back", Yu Huan's voice reached her ears, as Wei Lan also stood up in another part of the garden.

"Judging by your looks, you've brought something good again", Wei Lan smiled, as the past few days they returned with seeds of valuable plants that Yu Huan treated with her Earth Flame in a certain way after soaking them in a solution, all according to Wu Long's instructions.

"Hehe, today's the last batch", Yu Huan nodded.

After receiving a hug and a kiss from Wu Long, Wei Lan carefully received a small box with several separate sections all of which had a few seeds of various plants, with names, and specific growing conditions written on small paper notes.

She nodded, heading to the side where a small garden house stood, in which she soaked the seeds or beans in water, allowing them to grow small roots first.

Gong Liwei mutually greeted Wu Long and Yu Huan, something that happened the previous days as well and thus felt routine, and they all followed after Wei Lan.

There were numerous small plates with soaking seeds, with Spiritual Stones over them suspended with small arrays, tiny luminous dust falling toward each plate. But it seemed there were differences in the arrays, as well as the water, as matching conditions were created for each type of seeds.

"It's honestly a bit baffling", Wei Lan spoke as she looked out of the window, where a few Paifang gates stood, the scenery in each of them slightly different.

"Well, many of these require different environments and conditions to grow. Normally, that limits what Alchemy Plants each Sect with suitable for medicinal gardens Spiritual Land is able to grow, but for us it is not a problem, since Fen Baihu can just link those Paifang gates to her second Dream Realm where she could simulate different places", Wu Long nodded, since it indeed was a substantial advantage.

Of course, Spiritual Qi and soil had to be real, so it wasn't like they completely could manufacture those environments. Rather, what she created was simply isolated spaces where various conditions could be simulated, as Wu Long and Lian Zhiqiu were preparing to lay various Formations that channeled the Spiritual Qi with the right attributes into those isolated pocket gardens.

If Fen Baihu then channeled some of that Spiritual Qi into the environment of the pocket gardens, it would theoretically produce an effect of real places with natural conditions that matched what the plants needed.

For those purposes, aside from going with Yu Huan to the alchemy markets, Wu Long was also going with Lian Zhiqiu through different markets buying up catalysts for Formations.

In other words, all of this was still in the process of experimental development. But if they succeeded, together with Wei Lan's special soil, it would give them massive benefits.

"Speaking of different conditions. As you said, I kept those you brought yesterday separate from the others", Wei Lan then pointed with her eyes to one of the shelves with seeds.

"Mm, those are Medicinal Plants and Herbs, and not Alchemy Plants, after all", Yu Huan nodded.

"Eh?", a slightly surprised voice of Gong Liwei from behind caused Wu Long, Wei Lan and Yu Huan to turn to her, and as she saw an opportunity, she carefully asked, "Is there a distinction?"

'Well look at that, I got lucky', Wu Long thought as the right few conditions coincidentally matched to create this moment.

"Mm, those often are used interchangeably, but Alchemy Dao and Medicine Dao are still their own separate Daos. Alchemy Dao has its use for Medicinal Ingredients, and vice versa, but it doesn't mean they are one and the same", Wu Long nodded.

"We Alchemists use medicinal ingredients, and produce medicinal pills, but that is only a Minor Dao within the Dao of Alchemy, which is more focused on Pills related to cultivation itself", Yu Huan added.

"You were using herb mixtures for Cui'er so I assumed you knew, but those are derived not from Alchemy Dao, but from Medicine Dao", Wu Long added.

"I-I see, thank you for the explanation", Gong Liwei suddenly had a hint of excitement appear in her green eyes as she nodded with understanding.

She quickly finished up the conversation and did not linger any longer, having already finished helping Wei Lan for today.

"You assumed she knew?", Wei Lan turned a wry gaze full of mischief to Wu Long after Gong Liwei was long gone.

Wu Long's expression changed into a smile as he shrugged, "Hey, I didn't set this up, she asked me herself"

"Hahaha, I don't deny that. She also seemed to need some time to take her mind off of things, so she came to help on her own", Wei Lan shook her head with a smile, since the whole situation truly happened naturally, "But I would lose all bets if I bet on you 'assuming she didn't know' about what you just told her"

"Pfft", Yu Huan giggled, covering her mouth seeing Wu Long's surrendering expression as he raised both hands.

Neither Yu Huan nor Wei Lan knew about Wu Long's conversation with Ye Ling, or what exactly was happening with Gong Liwei, but neither of the two were naive enough to believe the interaction just now, which truly happened by chance, was not significant in some way, especially seeing how Gong Liwei reacted.

But seeing as it was something concerning Gong Liwei's private matters, the two beauties did not pursue the topic, changing the conversation toward the seeds and their conditions.

While in the garden outside, the caterpillar finally reached its destination, seemingly meeting the right conditions, attaching itself to the leaf and beginning to molt.
