Many Sects or specific Masters sent their Disciples in these for the explicit purpose of having them go through a meat grinder and emerge covered in blood of enemies, treating it as a rite of passage or a test.

So anyone who came in here, came explicitly to fight with others for resources, not peacefully coexist and only fight when necessary.

Not to mention, that despite the Secret Realm’s limitation for those entering it was Mortal Transcendence Realm, the creatures here could demonstrably go as high as 3rd-tier Profound Grade.

Of course, those were incredibly rare, one might not find even one in all seven days, it was just a chance they encountered one right off the bat, but encountering a 1st-tier Profound Grade beast at least once while roaming the Secret Realm was considered norm.

And unlike for Wu Long’s group, that was a real crisis for most other cultivators.

So those seeking peaceful ways had alternatives.

This was also a good live testing ground for the techniques and skills that Wu Long taught the two assassin twins, to the point Hong Yue thought it was a shame Hong Ye wasn’t able to join in.

“Haha, who would’ve thought that the first hurdle someone who struggles with their cultivation and lack of talent has to face on the road to overcome them is their inner peace and acceptance about their struggles in cultivation and lack of talent”, Gong Liwei chuckled, still a bit befuddled by the conundrum.

Wu Long predicted that for at least half that time, they did not need to worry about meeting others who went inside the Secret Realm, since hardly any of those people would be able to make it that far from the point of entry in the first day as them.

Of course, he was not assured of that, as nothing was certain, but it was nevertheless very likely.

Towards the end of the first day, they stumbled upon a whole mountain range which wasn’t on the map of the Emerald Falls Continent.

The mountain range also had dark clouds swirling atop it, with lightning strikes constantly falling near mountain peaks.

The beasts that they encountered roaming near the mountain range also either had strong natural resistance against lightning, or were of lightning attribute themselves.
