After learning about Redstone's status, Cedric began making his move...

First, without alarming the other parties too much, he inspected the previous participants of the project who, just like Redstone, had approached the limit of the Void Refinement Realm.

These haven't brought up the issue that Redstone did, which either meant that they still have room to grow or that they just couldn't feel it. Nonetheless, from Cedric's observations, he was able to see that they're beginning to show similar signs as the ones he saw with Redstone, which meant that it may only be a matter of time before they too inform him about this.

This observation basically confirmed that these signs were universal so far. After all, to everybody who's showing these signs, only Redstone came from 'The Six,' being an ancient Titan himself. Cedric doesn't have a lot of people to draw inspiration from, so he could only work with what he has so far.

'So the direction I predicted was somehow correct...' Cedric mused to himself, 'The future development of the Ancient Chaos Path lies on the Inner World and its unique traits.'

The flickering of Inner Worlds between states of reality, no matter how frequent or infrequent, was universal so far. And it is something that not even these people noticed so far; even Redstone couldn't.

This, along with what Redstone described as feeling his inner world being 'bloated,' so much so that he thinks he's going to explode, supports Cedric's idea even more.

How can the manifestation of the inner world to reality be quiet? While they still never saw an Ancient Chaos Path practitioner blowing themselves up as a last resort, everyone could basically infer that if somebody were to do so, they would take out the entirety of Northwestern Camp with them, leaving not even a dust particle behind. And that's just the beginning of the damages; the realm will be left hurting after that explosion, after all. This is Chaos Energy we're talking about.

For Cosmic Level experts, once they reach this realm, their strength was no less explosive than an entire Cosmic Realm mobilizing all of its power to attack. Even a casual attack by a Cosmic Realm expert can and will have devastating aftermath, not to mention their full-force attacks. And this isn't even counting the Cosmic Lords.

The Ancient Chaos Path was destined to be much better than the current orthodox life evolution path. Redstone, being only at the peak of Void Refinement, can already stand his ground against a mid-stage Cosmic Level expert. It wouldn't even be outlandish for him to win. The same thing applies to everybody who transitioned, which speaks volumes about this truth.

Following what makes sense, because that's all the current reference Cedric has so far, the development of the Inner World should naturally fall into the 'true manifestation' category.

Meaning that, to make progress, the Ancient Chaos Path expert must bring their Inner World into a complete state of reality manifestation, allowing them to overlap their Inner World within the Primeval Scarlet Dust Realm.

The hints were already there, with Redstone's Inner World flickering between states of reality and all, so it's easy to interpret it this way. What truly stumps Cedric was the cost of this manifestation.

He's not so naive that the transition from Void Refinement to whatever comes next would be smooth, quiet, and safe. Hell, the requirements to grow an Inner World, while seemingly simple, are actually very risky and complicated. Cedric just makes it sound easy.

999,999,999 miles of Inner World...psh'! I might as well round that up to a billion miles since there's a very high possibility that it will continue to grow if one were to successfully make it to the next stage.'

'But yeah, so 1 billion miles of space manifesting all at once in reality and overlapping with the realm...it sounds simple, but it's mind-numbingly risky.'

Can the realm even support that kind of expansion'? 1 billion miles of space—that's a very dangerous rate of expansion, which will certainly hurt the realm. After all, that kind of breakthrough was far from natural development, unlike the birth of Cosmic Realms'.

'That kind of sudden expansion will sunder the spatial integrity of the realm, which will make it even weaker given that there already have been many holes in the wall thanks to the ruthless corrosion of the void.'

'Moreover, that sudden expansion will also be noticed by the Void Creatures. After all, they have us surrounded from all sides. If somebody, namely the Void Prince, decides to pop the bubble that appeared out of nowhere, then the damages will be catastrophic.'

It really didn't matter whether Redstone could retrieve the manifested Inner World to his body if he successfully broke through the next stage. The sudden expansion he will cause will take time to deflate and heal, and it will certainly exert great pressure on the realm itself.

This was the main dilemma Cedric had to face. And so far, he couldn't think of a great solution for this. And this isn't even mentioning what could possibly happen to the unique trait of the person who'd breakthrough, which is the Titan Core in Redstone's case.

Cedric massaged his temple in stress. Everything was too risky, but he doesn't have much time left. He must give Redstone an answer soon, or else the poor guy will invoke his breakthrough to come closer because of his mounting anxiety.

'Hmmm...'

**

Weeks passed since Cedric's return to work.

People have already been informed of his return, but nobody disturbed him too much because they're just happy that he decided to return.

Truth be told, if Cedric decided to leave the Border Patrol Office, nobody could've stopped him. Not even the Chancellors could do so. His merits already rival theirs, and in a sense, his reputation and contributions also surpass theirs, so what can they possibly do to him?

They needed him, but he doesn't necessarily need them. So, if he truly decided to leave to pursue his other interests, they'd be saddened and greatly reluctant but also helpless because they just can't force him to stay.

Fortunately, he returned. And it's like he never left. He's as busy as a worker bee, buried in texts and documents and moving from one place to the next to help out with anything he could.

It was in this manner that Cedric became one of the main gears that's moving the Border Patrol Office forward. Though his position wasn't official yet, many people were already treating him as the next big boss of the office and the guardians.

Currently, though, Cedric didn't look busy.

He's in his office, but he wasn't buried in text, documents, or e-mails. There are some piled up on his desk, but he wasn't paying attention to them. Instead, he was standing by the glass windows, peeking outside and seemingly lost in thought.

"How long has he been like that?" the ancient titan chancellor asked in a hushed tone to Redstone, who arrived here even earlier than they did.

"I don't know," Redstone shrugged. "He's been like that since I arrived too. I'm not even sure if he could sense us right now."

"He's in a trance." Chancellor Igor sighed in admiration. "His mind is firing on all cylinders in this state, ignoring everything else that has nothing to do with the matter he's fixated on."

"So we wait, then. Fine by me." Silas shrugged, opening his Virtual Universe interface casually to check on some things.

The others did the same. After all, it'd be rude of them to interrupt Cedric's state.

What the Wise Dragon Chancellor said wasn't wrong. Cedric indeed fell into a trance.

Originally, he was just going to take a short break from work by refreshing his mind with the scenery outside. His office provides a wonderful view of the entire camp after all, and this is what he usually does anyway.

Through sheer coincidence, though, Cedric activated his Divine Vision, and his gaze immediately penetrated the Scarlet Division Wall, landing in the immediate vicinity of the gates.

He originally wasn't thinking much, but out of nowhere, an idea struck him.

It was a wild idea that he didn't take seriously at first, but it lingered in his mind, and he unknowingly got fixated on it. Then, the more he thought about it, the more tantalizing the idea became.

Cedric got so fixated on this idea that all of his thought chambers came to life and worked as a unit to focus on this line of thought. A storm of ideas raged in Cedric's mind, pushing him into a trance-like state that prevented him from noticing anything else.

That's how the others found him...

Time passed, and soon, it would be two hours since they arrived here. They all heard Cedric release an exhausted sigh and a surprised gasp when he saw them all there, looking mostly bored from waiting for him.

Cedric reacted a beat slow before understanding what happened. He then put on an apologetic smile, saying, "Sorry, I got a little distracted."

Then, his gaze landed on Redstone before adding, "I think I know what you should do next."
