Extra's Abyss-Chapter 30: Thoughts[2]
Chapter 30 - Thoughts[2]
Trisha had just entered her room; it took her a while to get back due to the high traffic in the city for some reason, as she saw several knights rushing towards a particular direction on their vehicles.
After changing into her nightdress, Trisha sank onto her bed, her thoughts drifting to the party. freewebnøvel.coɱ
"Hehe, I won't be lacking a training partner anytime soon," she grinned as well as drooled at the idea of using her friends as training partners.
Wiping her drool. "And now that Nox is back, that makes another training partner, hehe." She giggled to herself.
Snapping out of her daze, she leaned back, giving her cheeks a light slap. "Phew, I need to stop being such a battle-crazy manic and be more ladylike."
Her thoughts shifted back to the party, or more specifically, Nox.
Something was off. The way he interacted with them didn't, the way he didn't involve himself much in the conversation.
It's not like she's against her friend or anything; she was worried about Noctis when he had straight up ignored every one of them, although everyone knew it wasn't entirely his fault.
Call it emotional intuition or something; Since she was a child, she could faintly sense people's emotions; it had helped her navigate in this disgusting world filled with greedy assholes, this wretched empire full of scheming nobles.
Grumbling silently, she shook her head, clearing her thoughts about it.
By now, she knew the entire dynamics of her group of friends.
While the rest of her friends think of her as a battle junkie, she was more than a simple person with their heads filled with muscles.
She always knew when someone was hiding something, like sensing a feint in a duel.
Her intuition told her that Nox was hiding something; it seemed like he had an invisible pressure on his back.
Trisha wondered whether she should confront him about it or wait for him to open up on his own.
She knew that pushing too hard would only backfire; she contemplated it for a while before she decided to give him time and wait.
Letting out a deep sigh, she sometimes wishes she didn't have this exhausting gift of seeing too much, but at the same time she was grateful to be born with such an ability.
Fatigued, she sank back into her bed.
As she looked out the window, she couldn't help but feel a surge of anticipation for their time at the university.
"I wonder how we all will end...."

Lena made her way out of the mansion while carrying her brother over her shoulders and reached their vehicle, where their driver opened the door for them.
She shoved her brother into the corner of the car, claiming the space beside him with an exaggerated sigh. "you so gonna pay for this!", she murmured under her breath.
Moving through the city, she stared through the tinted window as the city lights streaked by.
The party, meeting her friends, Noctis deciding to finally show up, their laughter, and the time they spent talking for a few hours.
"Hehe, Clara should have opened my gift by now. I can already imagine her face when she hears my annoying laughter continuously,"She chuckled to herself.
Crossing her legs, she swiped her watch to bring up screen, scrolling around she opened the gallary app.
Lena went through the images of her which were a lot, scrolling further down she found the image she wanted to see.
The image was a group images of all 6 of them, On the right side, she saw Ethan headlocking Noctis, while Noctis was glancing at a flower clara had found randomly, both of them were looking at it.
To the left side, she was herself using her brother as a ride, while she was laughing to the sky, her brother crying at the bottom.
In the middle, Trisha stood straight giving a peace sign while smiling brightly towards the person capturing the picture.
'So much time has passed since then, I wish we all stayed the same as we are back then. But now...' She closed her eyes for a few seconds before she opened and stared at the black-haired boy in the picture.
'i am sure you will understand it, its all fair in the end, I am sorry', Closing the screen, Lena sank back into her seat.
Glancing at her Brother who was deep in sleep, she chuckled at him before she smiled lightly.
Her hand reached out and held her Brother left hand, and spoke quietly, "Don't Be like me in the Future, Rain".
Just then Rain muttered, his eye frowning, "Ughh, n-not t-that, c-cooking b-ba—" Instantly Lena pinched his waist, waking up Rain.
"ahh!, oww what was that for!", Rain glared at his sister, all while trying to hold back the pain he felt at his waist.
With a dramatic huff, Lena turned her face around and said clearly. "Quit snoring so loud; you're annoying me!"

Walking towards their train platform, Noctis yawned due to not having slept enough yesterday.
His aunt Ericka kept pace beside him. As they passed a bustling small store, he paused.
"Just a minute, I'll be right back. I'm going to buy some snacks for us to eat while traveling," he said, darting off before Ericka could protest.
Letting out a sigh, she muttered, "There's a shop on the train, you know.!"
Shrugging, she looked around while she waited, and just then someone crashed into her.
"A-ah, I am so sorry; it's my fault. I was in a hurry!" Before Ericka could speak, she heard a soft-voiced, silver-haired woman say, flustered,
"It's fine, I wasn't paying attention either," she shrugged, shaking her head.
"Thank you," the silver-haired woman smiled before she turned around and walked away.
Moments later, Noctis returned, only to catch a light smack on the head. Rubbing it, he glared at Ericka. "What's that for?"
"You forgot the train has its own shop, didn't you?" She teased, eyeing him.
Noctis didn't reply back, striding toward their train in silence.
