"Hey, any discoveries here?"

Deep within the western tower, in a long corridor not far from the room where the Dragon Slayers were imprisoned, several soldiers stood in two neat rows on either side of the passage, guarding it tightly.

At that moment, a strange noise suddenly echoed through the hallway.

"Hmm?"

The soldiers turned their heads toward the source of the sound, only to see a blue-furred, flying cat speeding toward them, dragging a bag that scattered powder into the air.

"It's the blue-furred Exceed!"

The guards immediately raised their weapons, their eyes filled with vigilance as they watched Happy approach.

"Take this! Poison Mist Attack!"

Flying at high speed, Happy suddenly shouted and tossed the bag forward, sending a cloud of powder engulfing the entire corridor.

Chaos immediately broke out among the guards.

"Don't panic! It's just wheat flour!"

Being elite soldiers of the kingdom, it took them less than five seconds to recognize the white powder for what it was.

However, by the time they realized it, Happy had already taken advantage of the distraction, swiftly flying away and turning a corner.

"Damn it! Don't let him escape!"

From a distant corner, Lucy and Carla watched as the guards chased after Happy.

They exchanged glances and nodded slightly.

"Looks like everything is going smoothly," Lucy whispered.

"Yeah," Carla replied.

"Happy, you have to escape safely..."

Taking advantage of Happy drawing the guards away, Lucy and Carla quickly dashed toward the room where the Dragon Slayers were imprisoned.

Just as they had taken a few steps, a powerful strike sent them flying backward.

When they hit the ground, they looked up to see a fully armed Edolas Erza standing before them, accompanied by a group of soldiers.

"Using one person as bait to lure us away and then trying to rescue them while our defenses are weakened? I knew you'd try something like this."

Edolas Erza smirked mockingly at Lucy and Carla, who were sprawled on the ground.

"AAAHH!"

Two agonized screams echoed from not far away, instantly recognizable to Lucy and Carla.

"Wendy!!"

"What are you doing to Natsu and Wendy?!"

"We're extracting the Dragon Slayer magic needed for Project ETD," a cold female voice answered from behind them.

Lucy and Carla turned their heads to see a blue-haired girl slowly approaching.

In her grasp was Happy, whom she unceremoniously tossed to the ground as she reached them.

"You did well. Though you failed, I must say, your efforts were commendable."

"Happy!"

"Your streak of dumb luck ends here," Edolas Erza stated coldly.

"Give Wendy back to me!"

Hearing Wendy's distant screams, Carla couldn't hold back her tears.

Without a shred of emotion, Edolas Erza raised her Ten Commandments Spear, preparing to strike Carla down.

But before she could, Happy had already stumbled to his feet, unsteadily making his way between Erza and Carla, positioning himself as a shield in front of Carla.

"I won't let you hurt Carla!! I... I won't let you get away with this!!"

Tears of defiance streamed down Happy's face as he shouted at Edolas Erza.

"Happy..."

Seeing the unyielding determination in Happy's eyes, Edolas Erza let out a cold laugh.

"Then I'll start with you."

"No!!"

Without hesitation, she thrust her spear forward like an arrow.

The sheer killing intent and razor-sharp aura surrounding it sent shivers down everyone's spines.

Even before the spear reached him, Happy couldn't help but shut his eyes tightly in fear.

Mira smiled and nodded. "Looks like I made it just in time. And it's not just me—two others have arrived as well."

Just as Mira finished speaking, a male and female voice rang out.

"Hey, you bastards! Do you even realize that these people are from our guild? And yet you still dare to attack them? From this moment on, every single one of you is our enemy—the enemy of Fairy Tail!"

"Anyone who dares to harm our guildmates... we will never let them off so easily!"

"Erza! Gray!"

Lucy shouted their names in joy upon seeing the newcomers.
