Fairy Tail Destiny-Chapter 174: Ch : No chance of victory
Chapter 174 - Ch 174 : No chance of victory
In the endless expanse of the azure sky, a purple warship was speeding forward at high velocity.
"Garlos, is it over?" Seated at the highest position, Lya asked indifferently.
Standing below, Garlos slowly lowered his hand from his forehead, his calm face carrying an unfathomable smile.
"Yes, Master. According to the information transmitted by Ophelia, it has been confirmed that Zeref is indeed on Tenrou Island. At this moment, the forces of Grimoire Heart and Fairy Tail are engaged in battle. On the Fairy Tail side, Makarov and Loke have withdrawn from combat. As for Grimoire Heart, Azuma, Rustyrose, Zancrow, and Caprico have all been defeated."
"Is Grimoire Heart really that weak? The number of those who lost their combat ability is actually greater than that of Fairy Tail?" Reign mused with slight curiosity.
"It doesn't matter," Stella said with a completely indifferent and disdainful expression.
"They're all just ordinary small fries. I could wipe them all out with one hand. Whether it's Fairy Tail or Grimoire Heart, they stand absolutely no chance against us."
Garlos shook his head. "Stella, if I recall correctly, your type of magic doesn't require the use of your hands from the very beginning, does it?"
"I was just making a comparison! Don't nitpick my words, Garlos," Stella said in annoyance, then turned to Reign.
"Reign, this ship of yours is pretty nice. How about you give it to me?"
"...I'm afraid that's not possible. This ship is summoned using my magic as a medium. Without my magic supplying it, it will be recalled," Reign replied, somewhat exasperated by Stella's request.
"Tch, useless," Stella grumbled.
"By the way, something has felt off from the start... Where did Dylan go?" Lance suddenly asked.
He had been sensing something unusual but only now realized the issue—Stella had been talking to herself the entire time.
The usual back-and-forth bickering with Dylan was missing, and Dylan himself was nowhere to be seen.
Garlos let out a helpless chuckle, then pointed toward a dimly lit corner. "Over there..."
Everyone turned their gaze toward the corner Garlos indicated.
There, Dylan lay slumped against the wall, his face deathly pale and his expression lifeless, looking as if he was moments away from having a heartfelt conversation with the gods.
"....."
Without a word, everyone tacitly withdrew their gazes, collectively deciding to ignore what they had just witnessed.
As the group conversed, the warship had already arrived over Tenrou Island.
The shadow of the Demon God had finally, officially, engulfed Tenrou Island.
"Hm? What's that?" Tsukiyo, standing off to the side, suddenly spoke up.
Her blue eyes pierced through the glass of the ship, sharply noticing a black warship docked along the coast of Tenrou Island.
"It's probably the warship of Grimoire Heart," Garlos followed Tsukiyo's gaze and also took notice of the black warship, explaining, "If my guess is correct, their guild master, Hades, should be stationed on board."
"Hmm. Master, do you need me to go and eliminate Grimoire Heart's guild master, Hades?" Tsukiyo responded with a soft hum before turning to Lia, asking respectfully.
Lia gently stroked her chin with her delicate hand, pondering for a few seconds before speaking. "No need. A mere dark guild master isn't worth your effort, Tsukiyo. Garlos alone is sufficient for that. You will focus on locating Zeref. Lance, take the others and eliminate everyone on Tenrou Island—whether they belong to Grimoire Heart or Fairy Tail, leave no one alive."
"Understood!"
..............
In a forest on Tenrou Island, Wendy, with the help of Happy and Carla, struggled to support Natsu as they slowly moved forward through the woods.
"Natsu, please hang in there," Wendy called out softly while holding onto him.
She had already used her magic to heal Natsu, but due to the excessive depletion of her own magic power, she could only provide a basic level of treatment for now.
"....."
Natsu slowly opened his eyes and tried to move, but accidentally pulled on his still-healing wounds.
A sudden surge of pain made him let out a muffled groan.
Seeing Natsu wake up, Wendy and the others anxiously asked, "Natsu, are you okay?"
"That damn bastard... The next time I see her, I definitely won't let her go," Natsu gritted his teeth stubbornly before glancing around and asking, "By the way, where are we?"
Wendy, Carla, and the others shook their heads.
"We don't know. After we were knocked off the cliff by Ophelia, we ended up here."
"Wait, this smell!"
Natsu twitched his nose as if he had caught onto something.
Without regard for his injuries, he suddenly leaped up and dashed off in a certain direction without saying a word.
Wendy and Happy exchanged confused glances before quickly chasing after him.
"Master!!"
When Natsu, Wendy, and the others arrived at the source of the scent, they were shocked to see Makarov lying motionless on the ground, covered in wounds.
They immediately rushed over in a panic.
"This has to be a joke... Master, are you okay?!"
Natsu and Wendy knelt beside Makarov, calling out to him desperately.
"Ugh..."
As if hearing their voices, Makarov slowly opened his eyes.
Seeing Wendy and Natsu beside him, he murmured weakly, "Natsu... Wendy..."
Wendy's hands glowed with magic as she gently healed Makarov's wounds.
"Master, it's best not to speak for now. Your injuries are severe."
"This is unbelievable... Who the hell did this?!" Natsu growled in anger.
"Natsu, Wendy... Listen to me," Makarov said with difficulty.
"This battle... we have no chance of winning."
Natsu and Wendy froze.
Quickly recovering, Natsu loudly retorted, "What are you talking about, Gramps? Did you hit your head or something?"
Makarov looked directly at Natsu. "Your injuries... Who did that to you?"
"This... this is nothing! Next time, I'll definitely win!"
"Please, Natsu... Take everyone and run."
"Don't say stuff like that! What about the S-Class Exam?! Aren't you the master of Fairy Tail?! Stop saying there's no chance of winning!"
"There are times when nothing can be done..." A deep sense of worry flashed through Makarov's eyes.
Boom!
Before Natsu could respond, a sudden explosion echoed from the nearby forest.
The sound of light footsteps followed, reaching everyone's ears.
With a calm expression, Ophelia slowly emerged.
"I've found you." Ophelia's eyes gleamed with an intense radiance as she looked at Natsu, Wendy, and Happy.
"And now... it's over. [Mental Shockwave]."
Boom!
Waves of transparent ripples burst from Ophelia's hands, surging toward Natsu and the others.
The overwhelming aura of destruction spread instantly.
With their magic nearly depleted, Natsu and Wendy could only watch helplessly as the shockwave rushed toward them.
BOOM!
A deafening explosion erupted, and the battlefield was instantly engulfed in thick smoke and dust.
A gentle breeze swept through, slowly dispersing the haze.
As the dust cleared, Makarov and Natsu stood unharmed in Ophelia's sight.
A tall, slender figure stood in front of them.
Upon seeing this person, Ophelia's pupils contracted slightly.
