Fake Marriage To The Richest Tycoon-Chapter 99: Muscles peeking at her
Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Muscles peeking at her
Shentu Jing was wearing nothing but his boxers. He used her hairdryer to blow-dry his clothes. One hand held up his white shirt, while the other held the hairdryer. His arm was bent, revealing those bulging muscles. Qin Zhuzhu’s throat went dry.
"Are you okay?" He turned to face her as if nothing had happened.
"Uh, I’m fine. Here’s some tea," she quickly turned away from his body. She couldn’t afford to look at those muscles peeking back at her any longer, for fear that she might do something crazy.
Shentu Jing didn’t sense anything wrong, so he continued drying his clothes.
Oh heavens, why was he so comfortable wearing so little in front of her? Did he not know that it was dangerous? Was he doing it on purpose? His actions oozed so much masculinity that Qin Zhuzhu had to swallow her saliva to keep herself from drooling.
Sanya must have been right. She might have been turned on by his beauty.
Once he was done, he put his clothes on in front of her, fixing his belt. If other people were to look through the window, they might have thought that a couple had just had sex and was cleaning up.
Qin Zhuzhu busied herself with her tea. Then, to distract herself further, she went to check her Weibo.
"Let’s go," Shentu Jing said. His eyes fell on the ring on her finger. She still wears the ring...
He felt happy that she hadn’t thrown it away or sold it off. That ring was very hard to make and cost a lot. The jewelry designer who made it was very hard to invite. Because of his identity, the designer had agreed to make it for him.
Qin Zhuzhu quickly checked the time. It was almost time for her to meet Peixuan Ruxi. Suddenly, she was reminded of the ring on her finger when she glanced at her phone. That finger was near her screen, which made her notice it.
Qin Zhuzhu remembered that she had forgotten to remove it. Her other hand reached to take off the ring, but suddenly a strong, large hand covered hers, stopping her.
She looked up to meet his eyes. "What are you doing?"
"I’m stopping you, of course," came his answer.
"Everyone in your family already knows that we are over. The fake fiancée thing is over. So is this ring," she pushed his hand away.
"Then why didn’t you deny it when Xu Meng asked?"
Qin Zhuzhu’s face turned into a frown.
"You were following me?" She looked at him like he had done something very ridiculous.
"I was afraid he’d do something to you," he answered honestly.
She felt her heart swell with sweetness before she dismissed it. He’s probably talking nonsense again.
"I learned martial arts from Sanya and my master. I can protect myself well," she told him.
"I know. But in case you need to get yourself out of any difficult situation, you can use my name. I’ll let you use me as your shield," he said. To keep her from throwing away the precious ring, he came up with a reason.
Qin Zhuzhu wanted to chew on her fingernails. Didn’t he realize how cheesy his words sounded? It sounded like he was confessing to her.
Stop thinking stupid things, Qin Zhuzhu, she chided herself. He’s only here because everyone knows we’re a fake couple. He just wants to use me to appease his family again.
Shentu Jing just realized that his words were too... cheesy. Damn, since the vase was already cracked, he might as well smash it further.
"Then I’ll keep this ring for self-protection. Nothing else," she spoke, pretending like she didn’t care.
They took the high-speed train to Chongqing, waiting for the train to arrive like normal people. They sat side by side in premier seats. The train waitress came over and asked them what they wanted to order.
Qin Zhuzhu scanned the QR code, and the menu popped up.
"I didn’t bring my phone," Shentu Jing told Qin Zhuzhu.
"Why don’t you have a phone with you?" she sighed.
"If I were to carry one, it would have been damaged by the water," he reminded her of the pool.
"Oh, right. Then I’ll help you order," Qin Zhuzhu said.
Shentu Jing purposely ordered the same food as hers. Her taste was really different from his.
She liked to eat junk and oily foods, while he usually ate plain dishes and vegetables.
So when Shentu Jing ordered the same food as her, he watched how she ate it. Then he imitated the way she ate. Shrimp didn’t seem hard to peel. He was amazed at her speed of peeling those pesky shells off.
He realized that she was unrestrained when it came to food. She didn’t behave like the socialite or heiress she used to be.
"Since we’re eating here, then there’s no need to go to Chongqing for breakfast?" Qin Zhuzhu looked at him expectantly.
"Didn’t you say that you’d accompany me to buy new clothes?" Shentu Jing smirked as he watched her closely.
It was as if his eyes were telling her that there was no way she could escape him.
"Fine. I’ll also do some shopping myself," Qin Zhuzhu had no choice but to submit to his orders.
Shentu Jing, what tricks are you playing? She turned to look at him, and he smiled at her. So she turned away, looking out the window as the train zoomed across the countryside.
At Chongqing Blossom Wind Mall:
They walked side by side into the mall. Many people thought that they were a couple.
"What a good-looking couple!"
"The man’s handsome, and the girl’s beautiful!"
"Perfect match!"
Qin Zhuzhu somehow felt uncomfortable. She didn’t want to be seen as a couple with him. That would only give him more ideas to start the fake fiancé thing again. By now, she had almost paid back the compensation fee for losing his business contract.
Just a few thousand dollars more, and she would be free from him. Great!
"Look! A clothing stall. Let’s go," she led him to a men’s department store.
Shentu Jing looked distastefully at the clothes. Too brightly colored. He didn’t like them at all.
"Go look around and see if there’s anything you like. It’s my treat," Qin Zhuzhu was surprisingly generous.
Isn’t she broke? Why is she so generous all of a sudden? Shentu Jing thought she was playing some kind of trick.
