Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God-Chapter 126 - 99: Love Around the Corner_1
Chapter 126: Chapter 99: Love Around the Corner_1
Gaven said with a pained expression, "By doing this, will the other tribespeople of the burrow agree? Especially Captain Bark and his ilk."
Isn’t this just asking what you already know?
When you first chose to bring the young dragon back, you should have known.
Although his heart was filled with objections, Chester said with feigned ardor, "Agree, they will certainly agree. After all, the decisions I make are for their benefit. Even if they have some grievances in their bellies, once they have the same living conditions as Blackwell, everything will naturally dissipate like smoke and clouds."
Although he was leaning towards allegiance, this old fox still indirectly hinted to Gaven, implying that the treatment of Eagle Cliff Burrow in the future could not be inferior to that of Blackwell Tribe.
"Since it’s a decision that affects the whole burrow, it should be announced publicly to all the tribespeople," Gaven said with an air of selflessness.
In reality, he just wanted to set things in stone so that it would be easier to move personnel from Eagle Cliff Burrow later on.
Once Eagle Cliff Burrow fell into Gaven’s hands, maintaining the current situation would be impossible.
At the very least, Chester, this old fox, had no intention of keeping it within Eagle Cliff Burrow.
"This..." The Eagle Cliff Cave Chieftain obviously hadn’t realized the profundity of Gaven’s thoughts, the grand chess game he had laid out. Perhaps, from the beginning, Gaven had intended to swallow Eagle Cliff Burrow whole.
The young dragon was just a timely opportunity.
"Lord Aivensa has always enjoyed grand events," Gaven added nonchalantly.
Chester clenched his teeth and stamped his foot, saying, "I’ll make the arrangements right away. I believe all the tribespeople can’t wait to witness Lord Aivensa’s glory."
The person who casually throws a trump card just doesn’t have any shame.
The Young Red Copper Dragon Aivensa is now the trump card Gaven is using against Eagle Cliff Burrow.
It’s unbeatable.
At least for the Eagle Cliff Cave Chieftain, there are no solutions.
Whether he is sincere or pretentious.
He must relinquish the power of Eagle Cliff Burrow.
Once Chester had gathered all the Gnolls of Eagle Cliff Burrow, this feeling became even stronger.
Be it the flying Erdes or the ordinary Gnolls, all were looking feverishly at the Young Red Copper Dragon, without a trace of their Clan Leader’s presence. The only thing that brought some balance to his mind was that there seemed to be no trace of Gaven either.
"For a better future development, for better service to Lord Aivensa, I’ve decided to cede the Leader’s position to Chief Gaven. From now on, Eagle Cliff Burrow and Blackwell will be reunited as one," Chester stepped forward and announced loudly.
"Good."
A few scattered responses came from below.
Firstly, Chester had not communicated well in advance, and secondly, the minds of all the Gnolls were not focused on his speech.
"Next, let’s have Lord Aivensa say a few words to us." Gaven, far more adept at these things than Chester, promptly pushed the Young Red Copper Dragon to the forefront.
The young dragon, not at all stage-shy, strode forward gracefully and said, "From today onwards, Gaven is my spokesperson here. What he says is what I say, and what he does is what I want to do. Listen to him, and you can’t go wrong."
"Good!"
Without Gaven needing to take the lead, as soon as the young dragon’s words fell, there was a thunderous howl from below, an excellent reaction, completely worthy of the three performances’ worth of commission paid by Gaven.
Not waiting for the cheering to subside, Gaven immediately bounced out again, this time utterly transforming into a star host, and declared loudly, "Now, let’s enjoy the comedic song brought to us by Lord Aivensa, lyricist Lord Aivensa, performer Lord Aivensa."
The Gnolls below were a bit confused, and even the Young Red Copper Dragon was baffled, as this wasn’t part of the plan.
Seeing the gleaming eyes below, Aivensa was not only unafraid but was a tad excited, no, a bit more than a tad.
She has sung to the mountains, to the skies, to the rivers, but never before to so many sentient beings. Most creatures, upon their first sight of her, turn and run.
"What are you all standing around for? Cheer! Applaud!" Gaven, seizing on the Red Copper Dragon’s love for performing and being sociable, this was a surprise gift for the young dragon. So far, it seemed highly effective. Her shining eyes and increasingly uplifted corners of her mouth proved this thoroughly.
The Gnolls below did not understand what applause meant, but some of the more intelligent ones copied Gaven’s fervent clapping, following suit with their paws. Those who were slower to react were quickly encouraged to join in.
Though not as dexterous as human hands, the sheer number of participants, coupled with the loud cheers, created an overwhelming atmosphere. Even Gaven’s own emotions were stirred up, let alone the young dragon’s, whose heartbeat clearly quickened, and the breaths from her nose carried a scorching heat.
"Please go ahead, Lord Aivensa, give us your best piece, don’t disappoint the audience," Gaven encouraged the young dragon, his face showing support.
In fact, without his encouragement, it was clear that the Young Red Copper Dragon was already in the zone.
"Alright, then I’ll sing one of my best pieces." The Young Red Copper Dragon posed, stretched her neck to sing, and a merry tune flowed forth.
Gaven had previously experienced Aivensa’s poetry.
Compared to professional performers, not to mention bards in tune with Magic Network, even ordinary singers were a bit better than her. This was due to physiological reasons, as many of her pronunciations involuntarily included elongated throaty sounds.
