From Apocalypse To Entertainment Circle (BL)-Chapter 51: When the Colonel’s Away, the Snakes Will Play
Chapter 51: When the Colonel’s Away, the Snakes Will Play
At his house, Lan Qisheng kept imagining what it would be like to live with Sian. He was incredibly excited about the idea of sharing a roof with the teenager he loved—his first and only love. Perhaps... perhaps they might even share a room.
Once again, the colonel’s mind became flooded with a series of +18 images.
Unfortunately for Lan Qisheng, his daydreams were cut short when he received a call from his grandfather—no, from the general—ordering him to report to the base immediately.
Duty called.
With a wronged and pitiful expression, Lan Qisheng got out of the car midway and instructed the driver to take Sian home safely.
Sian, who had caught every bit of Lan Qisheng’s sorrowful expressions, pretended not to notice the suffering of the poor, lovestruck puppy.
When the car stopped in front of a grand and elegant villa, Sian let out a low whistle in amazement. He hadn’t expected Lan Qisheng to be a second-generation rich kid.
Getting out of the car, he strolled to the villa’s entrance and unlocked the door with the key Lan Qisheng had given him.
As expected, the interior was neat and well-organized. Since the owner of the house wasn’t present, Sian didn’t want to intrude on others’ rooms, so he settled in the living room facing the entrance. He even turned on the TV and started watching anime.
[It’s a shame there aren’t any snacks. I’ll have Lan Qisheng bring me a ton of them later.]
Smiling beautifully at the thought of food, Sian continued watching the television in peace.
As darkness fell and Lan Qisheng still hadn’t returned, Sian finally decided to get up and search for the kitchen. Just as he was about to go looking for food, he heard the front door open.
Assuming it was Lan Qisheng, Sian spoke in an annoyed tone, "Oh, great Colonel, how could you leave your guest without food or drink all day? Do you have any idea I’m on the brink of starvation, you idiot?"
No one could blame Sian for his irritation. He could tolerate anything—except hunger. novelbuddy.cσ๓
He hadn’t eaten all day, aside from the bland hospital meal in the afternoon. Ever since arriving in this world, he hadn’t had a single decent meal. What was even the point of coming to a peaceful, food-rich world if he couldn’t even eat what he wanted?
His back was still turned to the entrance when he spoke, so when he received no response, he turned around—only to find that it wasn’t just one person who had entered.
It was a group.
Among them was a beautiful young woman with wavy black hair, fair skin, and light makeup. She wore a short black dress that accentuated her charm. The rest were all men—two of whom were about as tall as Lan Qisheng.
One had sharp, light honey-colored eyes, while the other had dark, piercing ones. The final person was a younger man who was not tall—no, he wasn’t handsome at all, but he had an oddly pleasing face. The most striking feature about him was his amber-coloured eyes.
They weren’t as magical or dazzling as Sian’s hypnotic amber eyes, but they had a pale golden tinge to them.
"Excuse me," said the amber-eyed young man, "but who are you? And why are you in Gege Qisheng’s house?".
Sian, with his keen ability to sense emotions—even the weakest trace of killing intent or hostility—could immediately tell that this person hated him.
Yet the other party still wore a mask of politeness, paired with a seemingly innocent and sweet smile.
[Tsk, tsk. What’s wrong with this world? Why is everyone I meet pretending to be some pure white lotus when their true personalities are darker than the sky of my old world? What a headache.]
"Excuse me?" Sian raised an eyebrow. "I’m in my boyfriend’s house. You people are the ones who barged in uninvited. And yet, you still have the face to ask me what I’m doing here? Didn’t your parents teach you not to enter other people’s homes without permission?"
Even if Sian knew the other person was acting, he was far too lazy to expose him or play along.
He had never been the type to please others—ever.
Well... maybe he should consider making an exception for the big puppy who had been so heartbroken earlier.
"You—! You filthy trash, how dare you say that?" The woman suddenly snapped. "Xiao Yu doesn’t have parents! Your words just hurt him deeply! Apologize to him right now!"
As if to confirm her statement, the young man’s eyes immediately filled with tears. They spilt over like a waterfall as he clung to the woman, who patted his back with affection and comfort. Then, she turned to glare daggers at Sian, her eyes burning with rage.
"Too bad," Sian replied flatly. "I’m not the kind of person who apologizes easily. So, if you’ll excuse me, I’d like to rest in peace. You lot are too noisy."
Waving his hand dismissively, he turned away, intending to search for the kitchen. His stomach was still growling—filling it was far more important than entertaining these idiots.
But just as he turned his head, a sharp gust of wind brushed past his ear.
His body reacted on instinct.
In one swift motion, he bent his knees and dropped into a crouch. Without wasting a second, he twisted his body and extended one leg—delivering a powerful kick to the man who had just tried to attack him.

The Black Box:
Lan Qisheng, his face dark with rage, a deep and blinding hatred radiating from those blue eyes—now completely black:
Erato, you stupid piece of trash! How could you do this to me? Why did you separate me from my beloved Sian?! I’ll kill you! I swear I’ll kill you!
Erato-san: Oh, my dear child, I’m sorry, but Sian is the protagonist, so the focus must remain on him. Besides, there’s no rule stating that I have to keep the two of you together in every scene.
Lan Qisheng: Why?! You can’t do this! Sian is my other half! I should be wherever he is!
And you dare call yourself an author r? Pii! You don’t deserve the title!
Erato-san: Oh, is that so? Well, in that case...
Dear Colonel, duty calls. A top-secret mission awaits you—a whole month away. The notification should arrive any moment now.
I wish you success. Goodbye, with love—your oh-so-undeserving author.
Lan Qisheng:
No, no, no! Wait! I was wrong! Please! I’m sorry! I won’t ever doubt your abilities again! Please, I don’t want to go! (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥^°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥’)
Erato-san:
Too late~ -ᄒᴥᄒ-
