From Apocalypse To Entertainment Circle (BL)-Chapter 74: Top Star: Rising from the Ashes
Chapter 74: Top Star: Rising from the Ashes
After several days since the old master left, Lan Qisheng finally allowed Sian to escape from his grasp. Calling him a beast wasn’t an exaggeration—this man was a real monster in bed, never letting Sian rest, day or night.
That night, Lan Qisheng had planned to enjoy a great feast, but unfortunately for him, Sian received a call.
For the first time, Sian thought Jiang Hangyu wasn’t so bad after all.
Yes, the caller was Manager Su, whom Sian had only spoken to for a few minutes when he first arrived in this world. When Lan Qisheng bought him a new phone, Sian hadn’t changed the original owner’s number. Because of that, Manager Su was able to find him easily.
As for why she hadn’t contacted him until now, it was because her boss had been searching for a "suitable" entertainment program for Sian to join.
Of course, the criteria for selection required the show to be a live broadcast that was difficult enough to make Sian look as bad as possible on camera.
After several days of searching, Jiang Hangyu finally found the perfect program. His company had secured five slots in it.
This show was broadcast live and featured top-tier singers and performers. If Jiang Hangyu hadn’t invested a significant amount of money, he wouldn’t have been able to secure those slots for his artists. Initially, he had planned for the "Angels" group to participate and would add a random person to fill the last spot. However, after learning about the nature of the program—and remembering how utterly talentless Sian was—he decided to give him the final slot.
The first round alone had fifty contestants, with only three rounds in total. To promote tourism, each round would take place in a famous tourist destination.
Of course, three rounds didn’t mean three episodes. With fifty contestants in the first round, all of them couldn’t perform on stage in a single day. In addition to four performances daily, participants would engage in various challenges and games in each location while living together in a shared house. Everything would be streamed live.
However, this wasn’t a survival show, so it wasn’t too harsh—the program would provide everything they needed.
For twenty days or so, Sian would stay there. This meant he could finally escape from that insatiable beast who seemed to be in heat every day of the week.
After Manager Su explained the necessary arrangements and basic details about the show, she hesitated for a moment. But for the sake of the time she had worked with Sian, she decided to inform him that some of his former teammates would be among the participants.
After a brief moment of surprise, Sian laughed cheerfully.
"Alright, thank you, Manager Su. I’ll pack my things and head to the meeting point tomorrow."
After ending the call, Sian looked down at the large pup who was still lying on his stomach, kneading it like a cat.
"Lan Qisheng, are you done playing? Move, I need to pack my things."
"Baby, do you really have to go?" Lan Qisheng’s voice was pitiful. "I can help you with your revenge easily. How about staying by my side and letting me take care of everything?"
His voice was filled with affection, but Sian wasn’t fooled. Instead, he became angry.
"Oh? So I should stay with you and let you keep me like a pet? Like a caged canary without wings? Like a beautiful, empty vase?" Sian scoffed. "Lan Qisheng, I’m not just going for revenge. As I told you before, I’m going to build a name for myself and work. My field is art and music, so this is a great opportunity for me to showcase my talent. I have my own plans, so don’t expect me to stick to your side all the time. Now, move."
There was a trace of anger in Sian’s tone, and Lan Qisheng could sense it. To be fair, Sian had a point. No man would like to hear another man tell him to just sit around and enjoy someone else’s money. A man’s pride wouldn’t allow it.
That night, the big pup spent the entire evening trying to appease Sian and beg for forgiveness. In moments like this, it was clear that Lan Qisheng knew nothing about "male pride" when it came to his lover leaving him behind. The great colonel shamelessly pleaded and coaxed until Sian’s ears hurt, and he finally gave in.
And of course, since it was the last night before separation, Sian was played with until dawn.
The first thing he did upon waking up was punch Lan Qisheng with all his strength. Though, in his weakened state, his punches were more like gentle pats.
Lan Qisheng personally drove Sian to Jiang Hangyu’s company before heading to work himself. Now that his beloved had left, he had no choice but to face the mountain of paperwork that had been piling up for days.
That day, the once-absent colonel was seen diligently working at his base, even pulling an all-nighter in his office.
Meanwhile, Sian met with Manager Su, who led him to the waiting hall where the other participants from their company would gather. Soon, a car from the program would pick them up, marking the beginning of the broadcast.
The moment the car left, the cameras would start rolling, capturing their journey to the first location of the competition.
To Sian’s delight, the first round would take place on a beautiful seaside island.
He loved the ocean but hadn’t seen it in years. Even after coming to this world, he had only ever seen it in documentaries and television programs.
Excited, Sian sat with a bright smile on his face. That day, he wore a loose-sleeved yellow shirt and fitted black trousers that accentuated his long, elegant legs. His silvery-white hair was loosely tied up in a small bun, resembling a dangling tomato, with a few strands falling gently against his neck.
With a bag slung over one shoulder, Sian looked absolutely stunning.
What’s more, the soul within the body had changed.
There was now a strong, radiant aura surrounding him, making him almost unrecognizable to those who had once known him. Every movement and every expression was different from before.
Among those who noticed this change were the members of the "Angels" group.
They were stunned to see such an ethereal beauty sitting in the hall reserved for the program’s contestants.
And, of course, where there was the "Angels" group, the infamous White Lotus had to be there too.
After taking just a couple of glances, the White Lotus recognized the person before him.
His teeth clenched in rage, jealousy, and all kinds of ugly emotions.
Perhaps he was in too much of a rush, for he even forgot his white lotus halo. Instead, he stormed up to Sian with pure hatred and spat out in one breath:
"Sian, you whore! Why are you here? How did you get here? You were expelled from the group and the company! Why do you keep appearing in front of me?! Why won’t you just die already?!"
After spitting out all that venom, along with a few more insults, the air in the hall turned ice cold.
Sian remained seated on the couch, his gaze calm as he looked up at Song Zijian’s twisted expression.
The waiting hall was relatively small. Since it was prepared for live broadcasting, it had been set up in advance, and no one else was inside except for them.
Perhaps that was why Song Zijian hadn’t been mindful of his surroundings as he rushed over to stir up trouble.
The members of the idol group "Angels" stood frozen in place, unsure of what to say.
To be honest, they had once been on decent terms with Sian. But after all the trouble he had caused for Song Zijian—not to mention his utter lack of talent, which had repeatedly dragged the group down—they no longer felt much sympathy for him.
Even when they heard he had been kicked out, they hadn’t reacted much.
However, they had always seen Sian "bullying" Song Zijian.
Seeing this new side of the supposedly gentle and lovable Song Zijian—watching him lash out with such vile words, even going so far as to wish death upon Sian—left them utterly speechless.
And they weren’t the only ones stunned.
The live audience, eagerly waiting to see the contestants of Top Star, was just as shocked.

Erato-san Has Something to Say:
Lan Qisheng: "You stupid author! Why... why do you have to keep me away from my love for almost a month?! Why?!"
Erato-san: "Calm down, dear ML. Didn’t I tell you before? Either I send you on a mission for a month, or I take Sian away from you. And honestly, it’s good for Sian to go and make a name for himself in the brightest place among the stars.
Now, goodbye, my dear child."
"Oh, I almost forgot something important...
You’ll have a rival soon—
A love rival, to be precise.
I wish you the best of luck holding onto your beloved... Otherwise, he might be snatched away easily."
