From Apocalypse To Entertainment Circle (BL)-Chapter 80: Dazzling Beauty and the Warm Roommate
Chapter 80: Dazzling Beauty and the Warm Roommate
The audience barely had the chance to look around at the raw beauty in which they were, as Sian shuddered unexpectedly from the chill which crept over his form. His teeth chattered and an audible breath stuck in the air in front of him as he rushed up the stairs to strip away the drenched garments in favor of warmer.
As Sian stepped into the dimly lit room, the first he noticed was his roommate—yet-to-be-named—bent on the edge of his unmade bed. His roommate glanced up, his brow furrowing in surprise as he noticed Sian’s dripping wet appearance, water beads glinting on his face and streaming down from his messy hair. With a scowl, he returned his focus to his phone, but not before barking a curt command:
"Take a shower and change your clothes immediately."
Sian arched an eyebrow, for he had not anticipated that his roommate would be kind or decent. From their previous encounters, he had formed a definite impression of his roommate’s nature, one that did not involve the display of sympathy now apparent. Though the statement made was concise and contained a tone of irritation behind it, the concern was evident. This shocking discovery led Sian to reconsider his initial impressions and reflect on the complexities of human nature, understanding that people have a tendency to surprise others in ways that are beyond assumptions.
Humming to himself, Sian felt a marvelous surge of excitement growing in his chest as he dug through his perfectly neat drawer, his fingers running over the array of colors and textures. Each item of clothing was more than just cloth; they were items that Lan Qisheng himself had chosen for him. Reflecting on the shopaholic Sian smiled fondly.
Stepping into the bathroom, a cold draft from the tile floor made a shiver race up his back, contrasting with the remaining heat within him. The soft, dim light of the hanging fixture bathed the room in warm, golden illumination, forming an intimacy cocoon that wrapped her in a soft hug. He took a deep breath, the soothing scent of lavender from the diffuser wafting about him, invading his senses with tranquility and reminding him of peaceful times.
He stood staring at the mirror, fascinated for an instant by his own reflection—the warm tones of his skin set against the cold colors of the bathroom created a striking scene. His eyes shone with a brilliant light of gold, emotions whirling inside him like a kaleidoscope, each vying for his attention.
With each deliberate movement, Sian changed, the soft fabric of his chosen clothes sliding against him like a caress, each piece of clothing surrounding him in comfort and bolstering his confidence. he could feel the tension rising within him as though the clothes had made him into another person.

Meanwhile, the live broadcast Wan Wan had streamed had gone viral. A video of Sian fearlessly diving into the sea to save the child was being widely shared. People admired selfless and good-hearted heroes like him, and Sian became an instant role model. When the audience of the variety show he was participating in saw the video, they immediately recognized him. As a result, Sian gained a large fanbase, with many vowing to vote for him even before his performance on stage.
After his shower, Sian noticed that his mysterious roommate was no longer in the room. He didn’t care and didn’t bother thinking about it. Instinctively, he felt that staying away from the man would help him avoid trouble.
So, Sian went to bed and had the best sleep he’d had in days. Thinking about the little puppy that had tormented him all this time, he imagined the lonely pup at this very moment and couldn’t help but smile even wider.
And just as Sian had imagined, Lan Qisheng was sitting in his office, working overtime. He didn’t want to return to an empty house, and ever since Sian left, his heart had felt strangely hollow.
With a tired sigh, the great colonel returned to sorting, correcting, and signing documents.

"Sian, I heard you came back looking like a drenched chicken last night. It’s a shame I didn’t get to witness such a beautiful sight," Han Chengsu said with a mocking smile as he approached Sian. He was accompanied by three other members of the "Angels" group.
As expected, the white lotus acted quickly, speaking in a fake gentle tone, "Brother Cheng, don’t say that. Maybe Sian was just playing in the water or accidentally fell in."
Sian stared at the two as they performed their little play, his amber eyes void of emotion. He simply observed them quietly.
The last time they met in the company’s break room, this person hadn’t spoken, so Sian hadn’t paid him any attention. He was the third most popular member of the "Angels" group, ranked behind Song Zijian, who had an angelic appearance, and Jin Ruhan, who had the aura of a top student. Han Chengsu came third, though the reason for his popularity was rather ridiculous—fans loved his blunt personality. Or rather, his sharp tongue.
And by sharp, it meant sharper than any woman’s.
After adopting the "poisonous tongue but warm heart" persona, his popularity skyrocketed. This dog had used Sian as a stepping stone to climb up the ranks.
Memories of the original Sian surfaced in his mind—every time he was scolded and criticized for something he didn’t even do, every time Han Chengsu humiliated him and trampled on his kindness in front of everyone without a second thought.
Sian’s eyes flashed with a dark, murderous glint.
Perhaps it was because of the emotions lingering from the original Sian, or perhaps out of pity for the boy who had once hugged him—Sian wished he could kill everyone who had hurt that kind and lovable child.
He had always planned to toy with them, make them regret, and strip them of their most precious possessions—their careers and fame. He kept telling himself that leaving them alive would be more painful than death. But...
At that moment, a large, unfamiliar hand grasped Sian’s wrist—the one holding the knife.
