Galaxy Domination Guide-Chapter 569: Meeting at the 555 Courtyard
In the tranquil and modest courtyard, Han Jiaxue, dressed in a long skirt that had characteristics of Hanfu but was more simple and refined, sat under a tree drinking tea, exuding an air of allure and charm.
"It seems that Miss Linyin has been persuaded by the commander, and now she has already gone to help her with something," said a voice.
Her delicate hands, gently pinching the handle of the teacup, were as exquisite as white jade, evoking sympathy. Even at forty, Han Jiaxue, who had undergone genetic optimization, still looked like a beautiful woman in her twenties, except with countless more grace and elegance than a girl of that age.
After sipping her tea, she let out a gentle, long sigh, and said, "Linyin is still the same, isn't she?"
Following her meeting with Linyin, Han Jiaxue knew that Linyin was hiding something very important. Linyin might be guileless, but Han Jiaxue was filled with intelligence. Although she didn't know what it was, she had guessed that it was something useful for Bai Zhongqi's return, possibly a weapon, and one that could rescue the Champion Mercenary Corps from their current plight.
Such an item, Han Jiaxue naturally did not want the mentally disturbed Xu Lanzhou to get involved with. Yet, she was deeply aware of how formidable a personality Xu Shisan was, and knew Xu Lanzhou understood what kind of person Linyin was. Linyin was clever, but unreserved with her friends. Linyin wouldn't hand over the weapon to Xu Lanzhou knowing about her personality splits and instability, but Xu Shisan was strategic.
Using the gentle personality Xu Sanlai to appeal to Linyin's sense of friendship, and suggesting to her that if Champion Mercenary Corps couldn't get through this crisis, both Xu, Han, and Linyin herself would be doomed. Moreover, saying that the Champion Mercenary Corps was created for Bai Zhongqi, that swayed Linyin even more.
Linyin might not believe in her heart that Xu Lanzhou, despite her split personality, would do something harmful to Bai Zhongqi. Thinking thus, she decided to hand over the weapon to her first, to save them from the current crisis, and then plan further.
Han Jiaxue had actually seen through the thoughts of both Xu Lanzhou and Linyin a long time ago, but she didn't intend to stop it, because indeed, surviving this crisis was better than dying with the weapon in hand.
For someone of her and Xu Lanzhou's stature, falling into the hands of Xiao Yu, they could neither ask for life nor seek death.
"Bai's return has become certain, and if he returns already possessing enough capital to confront the Star Alliance and Xiao Yu, then this item might be nonessential to him. But if this item is of even higher importance, then we must think of a way to snatch it from Xu Shisan," Han Jiaxue thought quietly.
She pondered for a moment, her exquisite face carrying a captivating aura.
She waved her hand casually, saying, "Thank you for your trouble, be careful not to let the commander find out."
The person hidden in the shadows laughed playfully, "I'll naturally be careful. Mrs. Han, I've done so much for you, yet I can't seem to win your favor, which really breaks my heart."
Han Jiaxue's expression was composed as she replied, "Wali, you're clearly into men, why do you always pretend to like women? Staying in the closet like this isn't good for you."
The person in the shadows laughed heartily, "In the entire corps, it's Mrs. Han who has the strongest observational skills. I really don't understand why the commander chose to have you retire. But, I guess you don't care about these corps matters anyway. You were once the girlfriend of the Star Alliance Chancellor, almost becoming the nation's mother."
Han Jiaxue put down her teacup, her hands resting elegantly on her legs, as she said earnestly, "Although I don't really care about that, I am sure to become the Chancellor's wife. I was confused before, but now I see clearly. When he comes back, I will become the nation's mother, as you said."
Wali chuckled, "You really are formidable. But aren't you worried that Mr. Bai might abandon you after the beginning flurry?"
Han Jiaxue retorted, "Instead of gossiping about this, you should get to work."
"Hahaha, alright, alright. See you then, Mrs. Han."
Han Jiaxue looked towards the orange hues of the dusk sky, her expression somewhat distant. She wasn't without fear that Bai Zhongqi would no longer love her upon his return, but she knew his character; even if he changed his style, as long as his core remained the same, that was enough.
She recalled fondly, the time when he had rushed into the collapsing school building to embrace and rescue her, crying. Held in his arms at that moment, Han Jiaxue knew that he could provide her with a sense of security, that he truly loved her.
Han Jiaxue was a rational and intelligent woman; she would only choose someone who loved her, and if it so happened that she also loved him, then that was for the best.
An hour later, Xu Shisan entered her courtyard, bringing with him someone.
This man was named Lei Xiang, tall and handsome, especially his deep and sapphire-like eyes that could make one fall deeply into them.
Xu Shisan simply said, "Mr. Lei wishes to see you."
However, Han Jiaxue did not even bother with basic etiquette, nor did she stand up to greet him. Instead, she looked at Xu Shisan with a questioning gaze, wondering why he had brought this man here.
Lei Xiang was from the Broken Fang Civilization, a Level 27 High Level Civilization, also a member of the delegation to the Galactic High Governance Council. The Broken Fang Civilization often tasked shady forces from the Wilds of the Galaxy with missions, and Lei Xiang was the descendant of an influential figure with real power within his civilization, able to summon the wind and call the rain. He was a notorious womanizer with quite a history.
But when Lei Xiang arrived at Sumer Star and saw Han Jiaxue, he was captivated and pursued her relentlessly. However, Han Jiaxue had no intention of entertaining any man who had designs on her.
Lei Xiang, finally meeting the object of his incessant thoughts, felt his heart melting. Coming straight to the point, he said, "Mrs. Han, I know that the Star Alliance's 95th Army Corps is going to attack your Champion Mercenary Corps. The Mercenary Corps doesn't have the strength to confront them. I am not sure how you managed to fall out with those Earthlings of the Star Alliance, but if you agree to marry me, with my status, I can naturally inform the Star Alliance Chancellor and ask him to recall the fleet and broker peace between us. He will have to give me this much face, after all, my father is a civilization representative in the High Council, and the Broken Fang Civilization is an old established High Level Civilization, not something the Star Alliance can compare with."
However, Han Jiaxue seemed to be completely deaf to it all, standing there lost in thought.
Lei Xiang felt that no matter what, Han Jiaxue was devastatingly beautiful. He gritted his teeth and said, "Mrs. Xue, I know you've had other men before and have even borne a child. But I won't despise you. For you, I can send all other women away and make you my chief wife. Our children could inherit my position and someday become great figures in the Broken Fang Civilization."
Finally, Han Jiaxue replied, "My daughter's father won't despise me either."
Lei Xiang wanted to say more, but he was interrupted by Xu Shisan, who said, "Mr. Lei, you've made your intentions clear. Let Mrs. Xue consider it. Please leave."
Lei Xiang looked as if his soul had fled, gazing at the picturesque Han Jiaxue, reluctant to leave, but ultimately, he was dragged away by someone.
After he had gone, Han Jiaxue looked up at Xu Shisan and asked, "Have things really fallen to the point where you'd have me become another man's woman in exchange for your mercenary corps?"
Xu Shisan replied indifferently, "You know I wouldn't have such thoughts. After all, you are still my friend."
Han Jiaxue shook her head, "Lanzhou is my friend; you're called Shisan."
Xu Shisan fell into a prolonged silence, and after a long pause, she continued, "I didn't bring him here to humiliate you. I just wanted to find out some things he knows. He certainly won't spill everything to me as he might to you."
Han Jiaxue stared at the equally beautiful but always so cold Xu Shisan and said, "You should know, Bai is coming back, and soon."
Xu Shisan snorted, cold as ice chips, and said, "Just based on what Linyin said?"
Han Jiaxue responded, "It's not just that."
Xu Shisan fell silent once more.
"Once he returns, I'll let you and Si Ying go reunite with him, but I'm determined never to become his knight again."
Han Jiaxue's mouth was unforgiving, "When have you ever been Bai's knight?"
Xu Shisan, slightly annoyed, replied, "I am Xu Lanzhou. No matter how much you deny it, that's a part of me. It's just that the personality isn't Xu Lanzhou anymore; the present Xu Lanzhou is Xu Shisan."
Han Jiaxue shook her head; "This way you acknowledge and then deny yourself is truly laughable."
Unable to argue with her, even if she changed her personality—even if twenty personalities came at her all at once—none could win against Han Jiaxue, whose diplomatic talents and debating skills were maxed out.

After another moment of silence, she finally said, "How's Si Ying doing?"
Little showed on Han Jiaxue's face as she answered, "The little girl probably snuck off to join the treasure hunt on the Golden Great Sail Ship. There's been no news yet, but the mother-daughter chip I implanted in her shows she's in good health and spirits."
Xu Shisan looked at Han Jiaxue and remarked, "You really are a controlling mother, secretly placing such a device in your own child's body."
"Without it, considering that girl's penchant for trouble, she probably wouldn't be around anymore."
Despite having Han Jiaxue under house arrest, Xu Shisan looked after Si Ying, the girl she saw grow up, with something akin to a mother's affection, mixed with concern and worry.
"It's fortunate she's not in the Wilds of the Galaxy at this time," Xu Shisan said softly.
She turned to leave the courtyard with large strides, her voice carrying back, "The thing from Linyin has been unlocked. Luckily, I can use it. Whether I have the help of those from Broken Fang or not is of no value to me. I can defend the Mercenary Corps myself."
Her voice and figure, both were proud.
Yet, Mrs. Xue also said, "You're probably about to get your period, aren't you? Remember to change your diaper so it doesn't leak and stain my floor again."
Xu Shisan's face, previously filled with pride, immediately flushed red.
"Han Jiaxue! You shrew!"
