Genetic Ascension-Chapter 1094: Dangerous [Bonus]

"What do you think?"
A pair of Mortal Thryskai sat across from one another as the Runes on the desk between them slowly faded away. Despite the calmness on most of their expressions, the fiery light in their eyes was almost suffocating.
But…
"Dangerous."
"Dangerous, but…"
"… But it carries merit."
The duo of Thryskai were known as Saeng and Isra. They were responsible for this galaxy cluster of Thryskai, and they were the strongest Mortal Thryskai Clan of the region.
The Kaelthar.
Zoryx Kaelthar had been the strongest Mortal Thryskai of Skai 11331 Galaxy and had been number one on the Skai Galaxy Titans Leaderboard for quite some time until Sylas overtook his position.
However, all things considered, Zoryx was just a genius of one of the stronger branches of the Main Kaelthar Clan.
That said, the fact that he held the Kaelthar Clan at all spoke volumes.
There were seven Mortal Thryskai Clans that sat at the top of all the rest, and the Kaelthar were ranked fifth amongst them all. Their standing wasn't too low, nor too high. But to the likes of the Skai 11331 Galaxy, they might as well have been Gods holding the skies up with their palms—as evidenced by the fact a branch member had so easily suppressed all other F-Grades…
Until Sylas appeared.
"It isn't normal for a Summoned World to produce a genius like this."
"It is when the Demi-Gods are interested in it."
"Don't speak such words aloud."
Silence fell between the husband and wife pair again. It wasn't even all too clear which of them was speaking between Saeng and Isra, but they seemed to be in near lockstep nonetheless.
Rather than arguing, they instead seemed to be coming to a slow consensus.
What Mospheral didn't know was that even this husband-wife duo were in the dark about the importance of that District. But now they also had a choice to make.
Should they do what Mospheral did and also report this to their higher-ups? Or… should they try and take advantage of this themselves?
The price that Mospheral had paid would be proportionally far less than what they would have to pay to contact the Demi-God Clans. In fact, should things go wrong, it would cripple them for a generation, if not more.
The stakes of contacting those levels of Sectors and Galaxies weren't things that most could fathom. They were on orders of B Coins, the value of one of which could probably buy out an entire weaker galaxy with ease.
Still, they were husband and wife, not political rivals. They both knew that this wasn't the real reason they were hesitating.
"Fifth place is too low, don't you think?" Isra said almost carelessly, looking down at her nails.
"Indeed, it is."
"What are the odds?"
"I'd say that they're about 12% or so."
"Mm. Worth taking." ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
"Agreed."
According to their deductions, the odds that what Sylas was relying on now was what the Demi-God Clan was after was only around 10% or so. And that was precisely why the risk was worth taking.
This was because unlike Mospheral, Isra and Saeng had other tidbits of information—namely, information about what occurred in the Golden Grove not too many days ago.
Information on an order of that level couldn't be easily hidden, especially not since they had had no choice but to start paying more attention to the Golden Grove due to the antagonism it was facing from the Demi-God Clans.
The Golden Grove had been subtly, or otherwise, severing connections with the lower Thryskai Clans because of the pressure they were experiencing.
In this Galaxy Cluster, the Golden Grove was the largest Merchant Guild, and they had fingers in many pies. Even if they were dealing with external pressure, the problems they could cause to other Thryskai indirectly were quite heavy, and this wasn't something the higher-ups would care about.
This was the way of the Thryskai. They had spread so far and wide across the galaxy. There was a reason what once was the Milky Way was now known by the number 11331.
The Main Clans couldn't possibly account for them all, so they took the approach of survival of the fittest. They all had to fend for themselves.
Although the husband-wife duo had pretended not to know the name Sylas Grimblade, they knew it all too intimately.
The new Elder of the Golden Grove. Gralith Duskthorn's yet-to-be-sworn-in disciple.
They didn't fear such a title in the slightest. Especially not when there were worthy benefits on the table.
That didn't explain why they were so sure that this wasn't what the Demi-God Main Clan was after, though. The reason they were so sure was because although they were in the dark much like Mospheral, what they knew most well was that what they wanted was not something an individual could benefit from…
But control over the planet itself.
Although there was a chance that what Sylas was capable of doing was as a direct link to the planet, whatever it was, it was likely reproducible by the planet.
Meaning, if they could take control of Sylas, while the Demi-God Main Clans took control of the world, they could have the best of both worlds.
On one hand, they would have access to part of the secrets even their Overlords had plotted and schemed for, for so very long. And… they could have the benefit of being rewarded by them at the same time.
This risk—they should take it.
"Who do we send?"
The two fell into silence once more.
Sending a C-Grade was impossible. Sending a D-Grade was possible, but the idea of losing a valuable D-Grade in such circumstances was a problem.
In addition, a D-Grade would have too many ties to the Kaelthar Main Clan. If the system snapped, it just might wipe out more than just the one.
There was a method to the system's madness, and you had to be able to know how to navigate it.
"In that case..."
