Guide to tame my villainous husbands-Chapter 1448: Revival (2)
When the young man saw the puny human glaring at him, his lips couldn’t help but curl into a sadistic smile. He said to Mo Qiang, "It seems like you do not understand your position, do you?"
Mo Qiang curled her lips. Even though the aura that oozed from the god was enough to make her tremble in her boots, she still held on and stretched her hand to one side before letting it morph into a crossbow. She said to the god of war, "You are wrong; I do understand what position I am in at the moment."
"I don’t think you do."
"That’s where you are wrong," Mo Qiang corrected the young god. "I am aware of my circumstances, and I do fear that I will die here."
Her words caused the god of war to raise one of his brows. It seemed like he was amused by her and her responses. "And yet you stand there, with a weapon aimed at me? Are you silly, or has my presence turned you into a fool?"
"Neither," Mo Qiang raised her head and faced the young man with all the courage that she could have summoned at that moment. She couldn’t believe that a mortal human like her, who had never even raised her hand against her boss, who harassed her like he lived on it, was now raising a weapon against a god either.
She said, "However, I cannot withstand the disrespect you have shown to the goddess of nature. Since you look down at her, who has faded away, I believe that I need to take a stand for her. For the one who will one day return and see that her devotees are still waiting for her." freёnovelkiss.com
"Return?" the young god chuckled. He raised the sword in his hands and said, "Very well, then show me the strength of the devotee of a fallen god."
His lips curled into a derisive smile, and he stated, "You will soon understand that following a goddess who has faded away is nothing but foolish—"
Mo Qiang charged at the young god when he was still condemning the poor goddess who faded due to the lack of belief and care of her devotees. She raised her crossbow and then aimed at the young god while he, on the other hand, raised the sword in his hands and attacked Mo Qiang.
However, it seemed like the fruit that she had eaten was something truly miraculous; her entire body was bursting with energy and she didn’t even need to think twice about what kind of move she needed to make. She rushed at the young god and then raised the crossbow before she took another shot at his eyes.
The young god had not expected such a skilled reaction from Mo Qiang. It was annoying that she was right in front of him, but she was as quick as a fly, which made it impossible for him to deal with her.
The more he tried to stomp on her, the faster she became, which made it even more impossible for him to kill her.
"ARGH!" the young god let out an agonised moan when he looked down and saw the arrow that was sticking out of his toe. His eyes flickered as he stared at the little arrow, which made him bleed; his golden blood tainted the floor and, worse —made him feel embarrassed.
A little human who had nothing in her hands actually injured him? If others were to find out, then he was worried that he would be embarrassed to death.
However, just as he was about to take on his godly form and kill Mo Qiang for treating him in such a manner, a soft voice echoed in the clearing.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
The gentle voice was like the soft breeze that flew past the sea, and the gust of wind that flickered past them carried the scent of coffee, wheat and something more. Mo Qiang, who stood in front of the young war god, felt like the red sky had turned blue, and she was standing in a field of freshly grown wheat.
Her eyes widened as realisation struck her. She turned around and looked at the spot where the little girl was standing. But now that little girl was not there anymore; in place of her place stood a young and beautiful woman. Her long, golden hair was fluttering naturally behind her even though there was no wind. Her warm green eyes were smiling, but at the same time stern, as she looked at Mo Qiang and the rest.
"Goddess!" Xiao Jiao cried out as she let out a shrill tinkle of laughter and hurried forward to hug the goddess of nature.
"Jiao Jiao, are you doing well? I am sorry that I made you go through all the trouble," the goddess of nature smiled and coaxed the crying squirrel. Behind her, countless fairies like Xiao Jiao appeared slowly as their essence started to strengthen up.
Xiao Jiao shook her head as she replied, "It was not hard work; I am glad that you are back, my goddess."
The goddess of nature simply smiled before she raised her head and looked at Mo Qiang, who stiffened. She blinked her eyes and tried to make her presence a bit smaller because just now, when the little girl asked her if she blamed the goddess of nature, she had said yes!
Seeing Mo Qiang avoid eye contact with her, the goddess smiled in a knowing manner. she said to her, "There is no need for you to think so much. I am not angry at you; your anger was justified as far as I am concerned."
When Mo Qiang heard that the goddess didn’t blame her, she heaved a sigh of relief. She then said to her, "Well, I have to thank you, goddess." At the same time she was quite relieved that the goddess was not angry because she couldn’t deal with two angry gods at the same time.
