Help! I Became A Guy In A BL Novel!-Chapter 25: I- I Need You
Chapter 25: I- I Need You
Riven did intend to leave. He really did.
But then he ran into Troy.
And Troy, being Troy, was too nosy for his own good.
"You’re leaving?" Troy asked, leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed, eyes sharp.
"Yes," Riven huffed, throwing his bag over his shoulder. "I’m done here."
Troy raised a brow. "Didn’t you just have a very good night?"
Riven scowled. "I was having a very good night, until a certain alpha bastard decided to disappear like I was some common tavern whore."
Riven was not surprised that Troy knew. He worshipped Ronan and basically knew everything about him, if there was anything that concerned Ronan, he would make it his mission to learn about it.
Troy made a face. "Well. That’s rough buddy."
Riven sniffed. "Tell me about it."
Troy tilted his head, looking him over. "So. What now?"
"Now?" Riven flipped his hair over his shoulder, grinning mischievously. "I’m going to go out there and find more men. Hotter men. Better men."
Troy pushed his glasses up in a disapproving manner. So shameless. Still he could not have that! Ronan instructed him to bring Riven over to him. Though he left as soon as he relieved himself, he instructed Troy to personally escort Riven back.
Troy was not too interested in that! This Riven was a shameless man! Getting rid of him would be for the best! But his Alpha did not seem to think that way.
Truly, he had never met anyone who was so openly brazen about their thoughts—especially when it came to men. But this was Riven, and nothing about this man surprised him anymore.
Unfortunately, this particular shameless man was also his current problem.
Ronan had given a direct order.
So, here he was, trying to convince a very stubborn and very irritating Riven to follow him.
Which was proving difficult.
Because Riven, in his infinite shamelessness, had decided to flirt his way out of it.
"You know," Riven sighed dramatically, stepping closer to Troy with that mischievous glint in his eyes, "since my dear Alpha has so cruelly abandoned me... maybe you should take responsibility for me instead."
Troy choked.
"I—wh—what?"
Riven hummed, stepping even closer. He tilted his head, ebony hair falling over one shoulder, his ears twitching with feigned innocence. "Well, think about it. You’re here, he’s not. That makes you my next best option."
Troy took a very large step back.
Riven took two steps forward.
Troy’s eye twitched. "No. Absolutely not."
"But why not?" Riven pouted, reaching out and pressing a deliberate hand against Troy’s chest. "You’re cute. You’re smart. You’re surprisingly well-built under all that boring clothing..."
Troy grabbed his wrist and flung it off.
"I—No—Get your hands—" He was stuttering now. "What are you even—"
Riven grinned.
Troy was so easy to mess with.
"Come on," Riven purred, stepping even closer into his space, tail flicking behind him playfully. "You could be my Alpha, you know."
Troy actually choked this time. "Absolutely not!"
"Why not?" Riven blinked, feigning innocence. "What’s wrong with me?"
"Everything!" Troy sputtered.
Riven gasped, placing a hand over his chest like he had been gravely wounded. "Troy! You wound me!"
Troy sighed, pressing his fingers against his temple. "Riven."
"Hmm?"
"Leave."
"But why?"
"Because you are insufferable!"
"But this is my room... You’re asking me to leave when I’m inviting you in with wide arms~" Riven teased and flirted again. Troy was blushing, should he do this man too? How would it look doing the secretary right after doing his boss?
Riven leaned in, pressing one hand on the door right next to Troy’s head, effectively caging him in place. The door closed due to his action.
Troy froze.
His glasses slid down his nose slightly, his ears burned red, and—oh? Was that a nervous gulp?
This was delightful.
"You’re blushing," Riven whispered.
Troy was definitely blushing.
"N-No, I’m not," he grumbled, shoving his glasses back up.
"You totally are."
"I—Riven—move!"
"Say please."
"MOVE!"
"Rude," Riven sniffed, pulling back just slightly, but not enough to give him space. He trailed a slow, deliberate finger down Troy’s chest, smirking at the way the man tensed immediately.
Troy looked like he was about to combust.
"Why are you like this?" He groaned. He had to close his eyes, the teasing was getting too much, he could not bear it.
Riven grinned. "Why are you so fun to tease?"
"Leave me alone!"
"But I thought you were supposed to escort me?"
"Not willingly!"
Riven gasped, pressing a hand over his heart. "Troy! Are you saying you don’t want to spend time with me?"
Troy pushed him off and stormed to the other side of the room. "I AM NOT DOING THIS WITH YOU."
Riven cackled.
"Aw, so Ronan forced you?" Riven tutted, shaking his head dramatically. "And here I thought you actually liked me."
Troy glared at him.
Riven winked.
Troy turned around and walked away.
"Where are you going?" Riven called.
"Away from you!"
"Come back! Troy! I—I need you," Riven whispered seductively, drawing out the words in a soft, sultry tone.
Troy flinched.
Oh, that was a reaction.
The poor man froze, his entire body going rigid as if struck by lightning. Riven could practically see the internal struggle happening in real time. Troy’s ears burned red, his hands clenched into fists at his sides, but he did not turn around.
Then—without a word—Troy bolted.
Literally ran out of the room.
Riven blinked. Then he cackled.
"Ah, what a shame," he mused to himself, shaking his head. "Another one lost to the dangers of my irresistible charm."
Troy was so easy to mess with.
Still, Riven had more important things to do than torment his unwilling babysitter. He turned his attention to packing his things, which, admittedly, wasn’t much. Just a few clothes, and some coins he had stolen from Julius before making his grand escape.
This was only his second day as a man, and honestly?
It was going pretty well.
Aside from, you know—
Being abandoned by that darned alpha.
