Chapter 32: Chapter 32

"You, let go," Amelia said, a frown on her face as she struggled to free herself from the man’s grip.

The man leaned in closer, his breath thick with alcohol. "Beauty, which family’s young lady are you from? You promised to compensate me... it’s only right you do this."

"Hey, leave Amelia alone," Sera slurred, her eyes blurred with alcohol-induced hiccups.

The man shifted his gaze to Sera, his eyes shining with familiarity as he muttered vaguely, "Isn’t this the Langford little princess?"

Then he withdrew his eyes uninterestedly and turned back to Amelia, still staring closely. "Beauty, let’s get to know each other..."

"Hey... you bad guy... let her go," Sera once again drunkenly interrupted, weakly hitting her fist against his arm. Seeing that she could do no damage, she furiously tried to drag him away, but she was just a girl compared to the man, who was almost twice her size, so he shoved her aside with a wave of his hand.

Sera was furious.

She had taken Amelia first. Why was this big bad guy trying to take her too? It was first come, first serve!!!

"You let go!" Sera rushed forward again, but before she could do anything, she bent over, vomiting once more onto the floor.

The man’s face winced in disgust.

Amelia sighed and gave him a charming smile. "Sorry about that."

He paused, momentarily stunned, as he became infatuated at the sight of her delicate smile.

Amelia looked at Sera, her voice calm. "Sera, go outside. I’ll come see you soon."

"Amelia, I can’t leave you with this bad guy."

"Sera..." Amelia said her name in a stern voice.

Sera flinched first looking aggrieved she bit her lips and whimpered "But I only wanted to help you"

Amelia sighed and said softly "Go, I’ll come find you soon"

Sera subconsciously obeyed and drunkenly walked out of the bar, occasionally looking back at Amelia.

Amelia, seeing that Sera had gone out, let out a sigh of relief and turned back to the man, who smiled at her flirtatiously.

"So your name is Amelia. How about you accompany me tonight?"

Amelia looked at the man shyly, as if she were inexperienced in the ways of the world. "T-To do what?"

The man, even more turned on by her innocence, eagerly added, "You’ll know when you follow me..."

"Really?" Amelia interrupted him with a smile.

Once she smiled, the man was stunned, looking at her dumbfounded, his eyes full of amazement and infatuation.

How could someone look so breathtaking?

"Of course." He raised his hand, wanting to touch her waist.

Amelia’s smile fell, her face turned cold, and she lifted her foot, attacking precisely at the spot she had just looked at.

"Bang—"

"Ah..."

The two sounds almost overlapped. She had attacked the man’s baby-making machine.

The man covered his crotch, his face twisted in monstrous pain, and howled, "It hurts!!!"

The others were completely stunned.

The man, unable to stand due to the pain, collapsed to the ground.

Amelia wasted no time. She needed to grab Sera and quickly hail a taxi.

"Stop her... Don’t let her go!" the man covered his crotch and roared in pain.

Several people in the bar immediately stepped forward.

"Why did you do that?"

"If something goes wrong with our brother, you’re done!"

"You can’t leave! You can’t leave until things are resolved!"

"Let me see if any of you dare to touch a Cosgrove. If you do, I’ll make sure you’re fed to my dogs," Amelia bluffed coldly.

She really hoped this would make them let her go. Since the man recognized Sera, he was obviously part of the elites, and considering the position of the Cosgrove family, once he knew she was a Cosgrove, he wouldn’t dare treat her lightly. But that was just a gamble—that’s why she had asked Sera to leave.

As for why she did that...

The man sneered. "Aren’t you Amelia Cosgrove, the one who just got kicked out? Even if you get killed now, no one will blink an eyelid."

Just as expected.

Amelia felt herself slowly losing strength, but she bit her lip.

To not show weakness, Amelia lifted her chin high and sneered, "Even if I got kicked out, my name is still in the family book. Anything done to me is akin to doing it to the Cosgroves. Besides, my friend is a Langford. Do you wish to offend both the Cosgroves and the Langfords?"

The others who had wanted to grab her hesitated, taking a step back.

The man tsked and stood up, walking toward her. "She’s just bluffing. She’s just a Cosgrove in name, nothing else."

The man grabbed Amelia forcefully and snarled, "You are going to pay for what you did!" He raised his hand, intending to rip off Amelia’s clothes.

SNAP.

A strong hand gripped his wrist, squeezing with terrifying force.

"AHHHH! IT HURTS! LET GO!!!" the man screamed miserably.

A tall figure stood before Amelia, his presence overwhelming, his eyes icy cold and filled with silent danger.

It was Kai.

Amelia didn’t even realize it, but the moment she saw Kai, a faint flicker of relief passed through her eyes.

"Dare to touch what isn’t yours—" Kai’s voice was dangerously low, his grip tightening. "—and you won’t just lose your arm."

With one wrenching movement, he twisted the man’s arm back.

CRACK!

"AHHH!!!"

If Amelia’s kick had been a momentary pain that made his eyes roll back, then Kai breaking his hand directly made him almost pass out.

The man lay on the ground, his face drained of color. He clutched his hand, hissing silently and rolling over uncontrollably as cold sweat trickled down his forehead, snot and tears running down his face.

However, Kai wasn’t done.

Wearing a trench coat and leather shoes, a cigarette between his fingers, he placed his cold, hard leather shoe on the man’s broken hand, pressing down.

"Kai, what are you doing?!" a voice called angrily.

Ahead, Ace was walking toward them, furious.
