Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem-Chapter 186: Fainted? We’ll Fix That
Chapter 186: Fainted? We’ll Fix That
While the three demons were talking, Zain suddenly appeared at the entrance of the room, his eyes sharp and cold.
The three of them froze, then dropped to one knee.
"Master," they said in unison, heads bowed.
Zain smirked.
"What do you think of your new power?"
Red Demon was the first to raise her head, her eyes gleaming.
"It’s good, Master."
Blue Demon and Yellow Demon nodded.
"Yes, Master, it’s powerful," Blue Demon said.
"It makes us stronger," Yellow Demon added.
Zain tilted his head, watching them closely.
"Is that all?"
Blue Demon hesitated, glancing at Yellow Demon before speaking again.
"But the energy... it’s too corrosive. It feels like it’s eating at our minds."
Yellow Demon agreed.
"Yeah. I feel it too. It’s like it wants to take over everything."
Red Demon frowned and looked at them.
"I don’t feel that," she said, her voice confused.
"What do you mean it’s eating at your minds?"
Blue Demon and Yellow Demon turned to her, both looking puzzled.
"You really don’t feel it at all?" Yellow Demon asked.
"You didn’t hear the voices or feel the rage?" Blue Demon added.
Red Demon shook her head.
"No. I only feel the power."
Zain let out a short laugh.
"Of course," he said.
The three demons looked up at him, waiting.
Zain crossed his arms.
"The reason you don’t feel it, Red Demon, is because you already act like a demon."
Red Demon tilted her head, curious.
"What do you mean, Master?"
Zain smirked.
"You already gave up caring about normal things."
"You only care about power, fighting, and winning."
Blue Demon and Yellow Demon glanced at each other, then back at Zain.
"So that’s why it hit us harder?" Yellow Demon asked.
Zain nodded.
"That power you have was the power of the [Heavenly Demon]."
"It’s meant to corrode and to destroy."
Blue Demon’s eyes widened.
"Then it really is supposed to do that?"
Zain raised his hand, palm glowing faintly.
"Yes. But it also has a heavenly side."
"It heals your body, makes you stronger with every injury. That’s the balance."
Yellow Demon looked down, deep in thought.
"So if we want to use it, we have to accept that darkness."
Zain pointed at her.
"Exactly. You have to accept it, live with it."
"That’s what it means to carry the name of the [Heavenly Demon Sect]."
Red Demon grinned.
"I already live like that, Master."
Zain smirked.
"That’s why it didn’t affect you the same way."
"You don’t fight it, you embrace it."
Blue Demon clenched her fists.
"Then that’s what we’ll do too."
Yellow Demon nodded.
"We’ll accept it. We’ll make it ours."
Zain’s smile grew cold.
"Good. Remember, you’re not heroes. You’re not normal people."
"You’re now the demons of the [Heavenly Demon Sect]."
The three of them bowed their heads, voices strong and sure.
"Yes, Master."
Zain turned, his cloak swirling behind him.
"Prepare yourselves. There’s more blood to be spilled."
The three demons stood, their eyes hard, their spirits steady.
They were ready.
---
Zain and Velra walked through the corpses hall, their steps echoing off the stone walls.
Velra walked beside him, her hips swaying, her eyes sharp.
Zain looked around at the corpses, then turned to Velra.
"Velra," he said, "do you remember to train the women properly?"
Velra tilted her head, her lips curving.
"Yes, Master."
Zain’s eyes narrowed.
"You trained them for fighting, killing, and pleasure, right?"
Velra nodded.
"Yes, Master. I made sure they were ready for anything."
Zain’s gaze turned cold.
"But it seems they still think they’re human."
Velra raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean, Master?"
Zain clenched his fists.
"Yellow Demon and Blue Demon, they passed out."
"They let the human side in. They forgot who they are."
Velra crossed her arms.
"I see."
Zain took a step closer, his voice low.
"To be the demons of the [Heavenly Demon Sect], they need to forget their human side."
Velra nodded.
"They must remember they’re demonic humans."
Zain pointed at the corpses.
"We are demons that can think."
"We are human enough to plan, to learn, and to lead."
"But we are not like the rest of them."
Velra smirked, her eyes dancing.
"Demons that can think. Demons that can fight."
Zain grinned.
"Exactly. They need to understand that."
Velra leaned closer, her voice smooth.
"I’ll remind them. Every time they slip, I’ll remind them who they serve."
Zain looked at her.
"And you, Velra."
"You also need to remember that. You are a demonic human too."
Velra’s smile turned cold.
"I understand, Master. I will not forget."
Zain clenched his fists again.
"Even me. I consider myself a demonic human."
"Even now, as a hero."
Velra’s eyes widened.
"Master... You really mean that?"
Zain nodded.
"That’s why I’m okay with the [Heavenly Demon Ether]."
"That’s why it doesn’t break me."
Velra’s eyes softened, then hardened again.
"Then I will make sure the others learn that too."
Zain smirked.
"Good. We can’t have weaklings here."
Velra stepped closer, her voice low.
"They will learn. I’ll make sure of it."
"And if they forget, I’ll be there to punish them."
Zain nodded.
"Do it."
Velra licked her lips slowly, her smile wicked.
"Yes, Master."
Zain turned his gaze back to the corpses.
"Every one of them must learn to let go of their human side. Or they will fail."
Velra’s eyes glowed faintly.
"They will learn, Master."
"They will all become true demons of the [Heavenly Demon Sect]."
Zain crossed his arms.
"Good. Gather the leaders of each group," he said.
"It should be thirty girls, right?"
Velra nodded.
"Yes, Master. Thirty."
Zain’s gaze hardened.
"It’s time to mark them too."
Velra paused, looking at him.
"Are you sure you’re okay, Master?"
"You passed out just after marking three yesterday."
Zain smirked.
"After your lovely lesson last night, I’m more than energized to do it."
Velra’s smile grew, a playful edge to it.
"Yes, Master."
Zain stepped forward.
"Call them all here. I want them kneeling and waiting."
Velra’s eyes sparkled.
"I’ll bring them right away."
