Chapter 185- Was It Tyler’s Cum?

TYLER’S POV

Declan ended the call.

He didn’t even wait for me to say a word.

Just like that... the line went dead, and all I could do was stare at the screen.

I let out a shaky breath and ran my fingers through my hair.

At first, I thought I was just scared for my mom. That made sense. That was normal. But now... now I wasn’t just scared for her.

I was scared for him.

For Declan.

And that’s what messed with my head.

What the hell is wrong with me?

Why the fuck am I suddenly having a soft spot for the same man I spent most of my life hating?

I wasn’t supposed to feel this way. I wasn’t supposed to care.

I clenched my jaw and looked away, trying to shake the thought off.

"This doesn’t make sense," I whispered to myself. "He hurt Mom. He ruined everything. I told myself I never wanted to see him again."

And yet...

Here I am, heart pounding like a drum, scared out of my mind that something might happen to him. That he might die.

Wasn’t that what I used to wish for? For him to just disappear from my life for good?

I rubbed my face, feeling so damn confused. My body was shaking.

I picked up the phone again—not even my phone, by the way. I hadn’t even realized that until now.

It was Logan’s dad’s phone.

I’d taken it from him earlier, and he never asked for it back. He only reached for it once—to talk to Declan and confirm something. After the call, he just handed it back to me like it belonged to me.

Maybe he knew I needed it more than he did.

We were halfway looking for where the fake Declan told us to come when the real Declan called us and told us not to come.

Glad we weren’t so quick, who knows what our fate would had become if we went to the place the fake Declan told us to come to.

Now we were back at Logan’s dad’s house, and I couldn’t sit still.

I was pacing the room, walking back and forth like a madman..

Logan’s dad looked at me from the couch and told me to sit down. Told me to calm down. Said my parents would be okay.

But I couldn’t believe that. I didn’t feel okay.

Still, I didn’t want to argue with him, so I sat. I sank into the chair like my bones were too heavy for my body. But even as I sat, my leg was bouncing nonstop. My fingers tapping. My breath uneven.

I kept staring at the phone like it would give me the answers. Like it would suddenly ring and make everything better.

Then...

It rang.

I didn’t even check the screen to see who it was—Declan or someone else.

The moment the phone rang, I picked it up fast—like my life depended on it.

"Hello?" I said, breathless.

"Hello, son."

It was Declan.

My heart dropped, then steadied itself again. I let out a shaky sigh, and for a moment, I just closed my eyes. Relief washed over me like cold water on a burning body.

"I was worried about you," I said, honestly.

He didn’t say anything back. Just silence on the other end. But weirdly, I didn’t care whether he replied or not. I wasn’t looking for validation. I just needed him to know how I felt in that moment.

I was worried. That was it.

"I’m on my way home," he said next.

I sat up straighter. My eyes flicked toward Mr. Lucian, who was sitting across from me, watching silently.

"You can come tomorrow to see your mom. That’s what the doctor told me," Declan continued. "And also, help me tell Lucian that we’re going to talk tomorrow. We’ll go over everything that happened."

His voice sounded tired...

Honestly, at that point, I didn’t even care about anything else. I just wanted to see my mom. Hold her hand. Hear her voice. Smell her hair. Feel her warmth.

That was all that mattered now.

The phone was still on speaker, so Mr. Lucian heard everything. I didn’t bother repeating anything to him.

"What time should we come?" I asked. "What time did the doctor say we can see her?"

Declan replied softly, "Around 1 PM. She should be awake by then."

I nodded immediately, forgetting he couldn’t see me through the phone. I guess some habits don’t need logic—they just happen.

"Thank you," I whispered.

Then I ended the call.

I stared at the phone for a second longer, and finally... finally, I breathed again. A real breath. The kind that didn’t feel like it came with a weight on my chest.

Thank God...

Because deep down, I knew that if Declan had died, Mom would’ve blamed herself the moment she woke up. That’s the kind of woman she is—always holding the world on her shoulders, even when it’s not her fault.

So yeah... maybe it’s better this way. Both of them alive. Both of them breathing. So no one has to carry guilt.

I turned to Mr. Lucian and handed him his phone.

"Thank you so much, sir... for letting me hold on to this," I said sincerely. "And thank you for following me when I wanted to go look for my parents. I really appreciate it."

He took the phone and gave me a small smile.

"You don’t need to thank me, Tyler," he replied. "Declan is my best friend. There’s no way I’d hear he was missing and just sit back and do nothing. If it were me, he’d have come looking too."

He paused. Then added.

"That’s what best friends do. They don’t abandon each other when it matters most."

I nodded slowly,.

It was true. What he said was true.

But the truth is... I’ve never had a best friend before so I really do not care what they do for each other.

Still, I smiled at him.

"Sir... I’ll be heading to the room now. I’m really tired," I said. "I want to sleep early and wake up early so I can get ready to go see my mom."

He nodded without saying a word, and I turned toward the hallway.

I really can’t wait to see her. I said to myself with a soft smile on my face.

Mr. Lucian nodded in agreement, and I turned around, ready to head back to the room and crash. My body was tired, and my chest finally felt a little lighter.

But just as I took two steps away, I heard him say, "Wait... wait, wait."

I froze. My back was still facing him, but I could feel his eyes drilling into me. Slowly, I turned around to face him.

"Where did you say you’re going?" he asked me, calmly but with a tone that made me feel uneasy.

"I... I was going to the room," I said quickly, trying to sound casual. "The room I came from earlier. Logan’s room."

The second the words left my mouth, I knew I’d messed up.

Oh no. What did I just say?

Why the hell did I say that out loud?

"You mean Logan’s room?" he asked again. "The one on the left?"

Shit. That was it. I had walked right into it. I’d basically confessed without even realizing it.

I didn’t know what to say anymore. My throat suddenly dried up. I glanced at Logan, hoping maybe he’d jump in and help me out somehow. But the look on his face?

God.

It was like someone had sucked all the blood out of him. His skin turned pale, and his lips were slightly parted like he couldn’t even breathe right. I could see panic all over his face.

"So sorry, Logan..." I muttered under my breath. I knew he couldn’t hear me, but I still said it anyway. I had just exposed us both.

Mr. Lucian was still looking straight at me. "Are you sure you came from Logan’s room? The one on the left?" he asked again, this time slower... like he was giving me one last chance to lie better.

Maybe it was time I followed Logan’s example and lied my way through this.

"Yes, sir," I said, nodding. "I... I came from the room, but I’m not really sure if it was to the left or the right. I just remember that Logan saved me that night when I was freezing outside. He brought me in and let me rest... helped me get warm."

I made sure my voice sounded soft and emotional—like I was a helpless little boy who just needed help. Maybe, just maybe, he’d feel bad enough to forget the whole thing.

But nope.

He gave me a little sympathetic look... then went right back to the same damn topic.

"Do you know what room he took you to?" he asked me.

I shook my head. "No, sir. I don’t. I thought it was his. That’s all I knew."

I could hear my own voice cracking with nervousness, but I kept my face straight. I had to keep lying, even though I knew it sounded like absolute nonsense. I had already been caught—I just didn’t want it to blow up too fast.

Then he turned to Logan. And I swear, the room went cold.

"Logan," his dad said, "I thought you told me earlier there was no lady in your room. Then later, you changed the story and said there was a lady."

I looked at Logan again, and he looked like he was going to pass out.

"But now I’m seeing a man who was sleeping in your room instead."

There was a short silence.

Then Mr. Lucian dropped the line that made my whole body lock up.

"Was it Tyler’s sweat and cum that was smelling on your body earlier—that made you smell like sex?"
