His Genius Wife Is A Superstar-Chapter 1615: I Wanna Be Like Uncle Haohao
Iris played with the children for a while. She also took this chance to check on her godson and make sure that the child was alright. Little Jun seemed to be doing well.
He gained a healthier glow and became heavier. It seemed that living in his stepfather’s farm villa was beneficial to the child’s physical health. As for his mental health, Little Jun continued to undergo therapy with his psychiatrist, Dr. Grace Poon. Jiang Ying Yue was the same.
When Little Matcha woke up, he joined everyone to play. The usually indifferent child had a big smile on his face upon seeing his mommy as soon as he opened his eyes.
Iris glanced at her wristwatch. Her husband, Jin Liwei, had to go for an important inspection today. He wouldn’t come home until late in the evening.
She spent quality time with the children by herself. It was a rare day off after a continuous working period.
In the afternoon, Jiang Ying Yue arrived after finishing her rounds at the property.
"Mommy!" Little Jun ran to her.
Jiang Ying Yue scooped her son up with just one arm.
Iris looked at her friend with a sigh of admiration. "You’re still so strong, Ying Yue. Little Jun has gotten heavier. I can barely lift him."
Jiang Ying Yue smiled and flexed her biceps. She had grown much more confident after marrying Lin Yehan. Her previous timidity was almost nowhere to be seen. This greatly pleased Iris and their other friends.
"Go play with your little cousins," Jiang Ying Yue told her son after putting him back down.
"Okay, Mommy!"
The two women watched as the children ran around the nursery. Iris told the nannies to take a break so that she could chat freely with her friend.
Jiang Ying Yue sat beside Iris. "Sir Zihao sent a trainer to the farm villa. He trains your godson in self-defence and close combat techniques. The trainer and the dog handlers also work together in training Little Jun how to handle Gravy and Buster during various emergency situations."
Iris paused. She didn’t know about this!
Her first reaction was to think that Little Jun was still too young! However, after remembering the child’s traumatic kidnapping experience, Iris held her tongue.
Instead, she asked, "You approve of it?"
Jiang Ying Yue sighed. "At first, I thought that my son is still too young, but Yehan thinks that it’s better to train the child how to defend himself as early as possible. Dr. Poon also thinks that it might be helpful to Little Jun. She says that it might give the child more reassurance that he would be fine because he would know what to do by himself."
Iris took a few deep breaths. She felt bad that her godson had to endure this kind of regimented life instead of purely enjoying his childhood.
She knew that her big brother wouldn’t do anything half-baked. If he had sent a trainer to the child, then the trainer would definitely create an intense training system to mould the child into a fighting machine.
Iris felt torn.
"Little Jun, sweetheart," she called. "Come here for a second."
The little guy stopped playing with his little cousins and ran to her. "Yes, Mama?"
Iris pulled her godson to her lap. Indeed, the little guy grew heavier.
"I heard from your mommy that Uncle Zihao sent someone to train you. Do you like the trainer?"
"Yes, Junjun likes Master!" Little Jun replied with no hesitation.
Iris sent a surprised glance at Jiang Ying Yue.
Jiang Ying Yue nodded, silently telling her that it was the truth.
"Is the training hard?" Iris continued to ask.
Little Jun thought about it. He was about to nod but changed his mind and shook his head instead.
"No, Junjun likes it! Master says that if Junjun wannabe strong like…like Uncle Haohao, Junjun needs to train hard! Uncle Haohao so cool! Like a superhero!!! Junjun wannabe like Uncle Haohao!"
Iris could only sigh. She and Jiang Ying Yue looked at each other in resignation. They let Little Jun return to play with his little cousins.
"It seems that my big brother has become my godson’s idol," Iris said.
Jiang Ying Yue nodded. "Little Jun thinks that Sir Zihao is the coolest man in the world. To tell you the truth, I also feel the same way. I’ll forever be grateful to Sir Zihao for saving my son…."
Her eyes watered but she didn’t let the tears flow down.
Iris patted her friend’s hand.
"I still dream of what my son went through every single night," Jiang Ying Yue admitted. "I’m forever thankful that my son was saved before the worst happened to him. Little Jun thinks that Sir Zihao is a superhero. I think so, too. If training at this early age will give my son more reassurance, then I’ll gladly allow him. I also don’t want a similar incident to happen in the future. Yehan and I, you and Sir Liwei, or even Sir Zihao won’t always be there to protect Little Jun. At least, Little Jun will know how to properly defend himself until help arrives if something dangerous happens to him again. Hopefully, nothing like that happens again, but what if, right? Just that what if is enough to give me nightmares."
Iris nodded. "If you don’t disapprove of Little Jun training at such a young age, then I won’t say anything. It seems that the child also likes it. Let’s just allow him to do what he wants. It’s going to be for his own good. Just monitor him and make sure that he doesn’t over-trains and damages his foundation."
"Of course."
They changed the topic and the atmosphere considerably lightened.
"You’ve become more expressive, Ying Yue," Iris commented.
Jiang Ying Yue smiled. "You noticed? I’m trying. Yehan has been encouraging me to stop hesitating and to say what’s on my mind. Dr. Poon says the same thing. It helps in making me feel better."
"True." Iris then glanced at her godson playing with the twins and the dogs and Popcorn. "Little Jun has also become more eloquent. He speaks more clearly."
