The ruins of the old city loomed ahead, their skeletal remains jutting into the blood-red sky like the bones of a long-dead beast. Smoke curled into the air, carrying the scent of death and decay. General Viktor ’Bloodfang’ Kruger stood at the front lines, his massive frame exuding dominance. The fresh streaks of blood on his face had long dried, but his thirst for carnage remained unquenched. His crimson beret sat firm atop his head, the last relic of his mortal past.

Beside him, Sergeant Darius "Hellhound" Rook cocked his shotgun, eager for the coming slaughter. Eva "Black Widow" Morales crouched low, her poisoned daggers gleaming under the dim light. Baron "Grave Titan" Kane gripped his sledgehammer, its bloodstains barely visible against the dark steel. Reaper-77 stood like a silent specter, scanning the ruined battlefield with its piercing red optics.

At their feet, a captured human soldier trembled, his body covered in grime and wounds. Kruger knelt, grabbing the man by the throat and lifting him effortlessly into the air. "Where is your leader?" his voice was low, menacing.

The soldier gasped, clawing at Kruger’s iron grip. "You… you’ll never win… Aldric will stop you…"

Kruger smirked and tightened his grip. "I don’t think so." With a sickening snap, the soldier’s body went limp, and Kruger tossed him aside like garbage.

Dr. Sylvia "Plague Mistress" Voss stepped forward, her eyes glinting with malice. "The survivors are holed up in the underground tunnels. Aldric is with them."

Kruger’s lips curled into a sinister grin. "Then we burn them out."

The tunnels beneath the ruins were dark and damp, the air thick with the scent of mildew and desperation. Commander Aldric stood at the center of the survivors, his battle-worn face set in a grim expression. He gripped his rifle tightly, listening to the distant echoes of footsteps above.

"They’re coming."

A moment later, the ceiling above them exploded. Rubble rained down as the undead forces poured in, led by Kruger himself. Hellhound fired his shotgun, sending bodies flying. Black Widow darted through the chaos, her daggers slicing through throats with deadly precision. Grave Titan swung his sledgehammer, crushing skulls like rotten fruit.

And then, Kruger met Aldric.

The two warriors locked eyes, the battlefield falling into a deadly silence around them. Aldric raised his rifle, firing a burst straight at Kruger’s chest—only for the bullets to barely stagger the undead general.

"You’re already dead," Kruger sneered, closing the distance in a flash.

Aldric swung his combat knife, but Kruger caught his wrist mid-strike and snapped his arm like a twig. The commander roared in agony, dropping to his knees.

Kruger loomed over him, his bloodstained blade glinting. "Your time is over."

With a single, brutal strike, Kruger ended the last hope of humanity.

The world belonged to the Undead Overlord now.
